Stayed in the Big Berries field for three nights to walk the South West Coast Path from Lyme Regis around to West Bay. What a perfect location this site was for our needs. The site is situated a short walk from the beach for those wishing to go to the sea for the day.

Beautiful site with fab beach, pub and pizza, although we went to have a pizza before we left on the Wednesday, not realising that they were closed. So disappointing, as we were looking to forward this before we left. They looked amazing and heard people saying they were great. The Anchor Inn was fab, their staff were so attentive, fantastic. We were in the 'Big Berries' campsite. The showers were either cold or hot, there was no consistency. The shower rooms were, I'm sorry to say, disgusting. People's long hair swimming around my feet whilst I was trying to shower, although there are floor mops to mop them out. One women came in after me and found something to unblock the drains, which they need to do on a daily basis. Shower rooms need cleaning 3 times a day to maintain the cleanliness so please unblock the shower drains daily.
Site's response
Thank you for your review we are pleased that you enjoyed the park. The pizza van is nothing to do with our park so we are sorry if they were closed when you stayed. We do apologise about the showers and we will review our cleaning for 2024.

I cannot fault anything. Easy to book. Kept updated from the point of booking. Text messages and emails with the impending stormy weather on the Friday evening. 😱🌧️🌪️💨🌬️ Absolutely stunning location. Value for money. I'm sure we will be returning at some point in time.

Very clean park. Clean shower and toilet block. Great location on the beach. Only moan is the food options end at 8pm if you're not cooking. We ended up at the pub on the beach 2 nights in a row, which is very good but not cheap.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. Our Smokey's Take Away is open until 8pm and we are sorry if this was too early for you. We are pleased that you enjoyed the beach.

We stayed at big berries and were thrilled to see toilets in the field, knowing the main facilities would be too far in the middle of the night. Great value and loved the beach. Will definitely be back.
Site's response
Thank you for the great review, we are glad that you liked the portaloos being in the field so that you do not have to go to the main block in the night.

A great summer campsite with excellent facilities. We stayed on Big Berries field. Shower/wash block was a short walk and big and clean. Beach is just a few minutes walk. Lyme Regis is a short drive away and in easy reach of activities.

This site is in a lovely location with the pebble beach within walking distance. A lovely pub situated right on the beach & the staff were very pleasant & polite. There is a shop which is reasonably priced but closes around 5:30, which I think is early. The pitches are very small in comparison to other sites. Lots of dogs. Toilets/showers not the cleanest. The floors were filthy but it was very wet weather. I didn't see any cleaners. The staff in buggy vehicles and maintenance vans drive too fast around the site as there are children playing. I think it's more suited to older couples who enjoy the peace & quiet, walking, exploring etc. Lots of families but nothing much for children to do especially if the weathers not good.

Thank you for the review of your stay. You may prefer our sister park Highlands End where we have a leisure centre and a bar and restaurant.

Lovely stay, pitched up knowing we were in for some stormy weather. Toilets were clean and useful to have little block of loos on the field. Showers clean. Used the sister sites swimming pool. No issues for £4.50 an adult bargain.

Stayed in the large field at the back of the site. You have to pick your spot as the field is not very level. The facility blocks were top class and clean. The location is fantastic. The biggest downside is that the local pub shuts at 9:30pm, which was very disappointing, so we had to go into Bridport which was lovely. Will come again as it is a great base for kayaking.
Site's response
Thank you for your review we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. The pub is not part of the park, there are also other pubs in the village who open a bit later than the Anchor.

Lovely setting but difficult roads to get there. Very tight with little passing places.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. The road is narrow but there are passing places, we do not recommend the park for vans over 7.5m.

We camped here for 3 nights. Had a great stay, everything well maintained. Easy walk to the sea, pub, spar shop. Loved the variety on the site, static & touring caravans, glamping pods & tents. Made use of freezer to keep the freezer blocks cold. Showers worked well, plenty of hot water. Clear recycling facilities.

Thank you from all of the team.

Good facilities and great location - 5 minute walk to beach. The dog exercise field is also very handy but I was disappointed that dogs are not allowed on the beach from May to October. One of the reasons we booked this site was that we could walk our dog to the beach.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. We do recommend that people check if beaches are dog friendly before booking. Seatown beach at Golden Cap is not owned by us and has restrictions between April and November.

Do not follow your Sat Nav. We took a wrong road and got the motorhome stuck had to have the farmer help us. It is down a very small road, Ideal for a campervan or small caravan, not for us our vehicle was too big. The beach is yards from the site but it isn't sand, its shingle. which is a shame as the water was clear. A lot of good swimmers loved it and the fishermen loved it. We took our light weight chairs to the beach. There's a pub on the beach also toilets there. Not a place to go paddling or building sand castles.
Site's response
Thank you for your comments, Seatown beach is shingle not sand, as are most beaches in Dorset. Sorry if it's not for you.

Shower room nice and warm, with music too, but floors can be slippery. It is quite a steep site and a very steep climb when you leave the site. There are lots of dogs on the site and some could be noisy. Very close to the little beach, but in general, I felt that things were a bit pricy.
