Exclusively for adults, Longnor Wood Holiday Park is set in the heart of the Peak District, surrounded by open countryside and walking routes. Pick between hardstanding tent and touring pitches, ensuite glamping pods, caravans with hot tubs and hot tub lodges, there is accommodation for everyone! There are also great onsite facilities including a licensed shop, dog wash and dog exercise field, a gym, games room and more!

This is a lovely secluded location, but within easy reach of attractions in and around Buxton. All facilities very clean & well maintained, and a free dvd and book library for guests. If you have a dog, there is one of the best (= large) exercise areas we've come across. But watch out for rabbits at night - there are hordes of them!

This is a lovely site but not what we were looking for. No views of the beautiful countryside around us, we only could see a toilet block. Facilities were good but I called to say we would not arrive until after the 5pm check in and they said they would leave a welcome information pack and gate key in the lodge - but there was nothing when we arrive, called and was given a gate key but not info about the site.

Thank you for your review. I can only apologise if there wasn't an arrival envelope waiting for you, this must have been an oversight on our part. With regards to your comments about the views, part of our site license is that we can't be seen from the surrounding roads. As much as I agree it would be great to have pitches with the fantastic views from our dog walk, for example, we aren't allowed to do this.

We couldn't get a good night sleep first night as tent next to us had dog constantly barking. Someone in one of the pods was walking their dog around the tent area and letting it foul right opposite us as we had breakfast. The idea of coming to adult only site was that we thought we wouldn't have these issues.

I am sorry to hear that your sleep was disturbed by your neighbour's dog. It is usually the noise of the birds that you hear in the morning up here. We obviously advertise ourselves as a tranquil park and make all of our customers aware of the ethos of the park. Sometimes this isn't taken onboard as much as we would like. I am sure on a different day your experience would have been very different, and hopefully you will come and stay again to see that.

Had a great short stay with an electric hook up. Staff are great and very friendly and very helpful. Love that it's adult only, so it's nice and peaceful with no little kids running around. Excellent location with fab walks everywhere

Spotlessly clean, tidy set up everywhere, best shower/loo we have been to. Great area for your fur baby to have a good run about if you don't venture out. Was just a 2 night stay, so despite the weather, as it was a very windy one, we had a lovely time, thank you.

Beautiful site. My partner and I had a lovely, relaxing stay here. You do need a car to get around though as it's in a remote area.

Longnor is a lovely site, situated in an idyllic location. Site staff are friendly, approachable and very helpful. Toilet and shower facilities were great. Site was pretty central to attractions that we wanted to visit. Be prepared for journeys to take longer as the roads are very eventful, but with magnificent views wherever you look, who cares!?

We had a lovely stay at Longnor Wood last weekend. The site is very well appointed, with a nice clean toilet/shower block, electric hook-up, gravel pitches and a handy shop with freezers for icepacks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They lent us a mallet because we thought we'd forgotten ours only to find it later in the peg bag! The site is very quiet, being adult only and the most noises comes from the abundant wildlife around! We went to sleep to the sound of owls hooting around us. The surrounding area is beautiful and I would recommend the walk over Chrome Hill, which was a fun scramble with amazing views. We would certainly come back here in the future and strongly recommend it.

Beautiful and well kept site. A few hairy hills to drive up with the caravan, but you need to climb to get the views...and there were beautiful views to be had. Fantastic facilities, very friendly staff. Large enclosed dog field with superb views over the hills, the site even has a walk in dog shower (hot water) if needed. Pitch was even and grounds were well kept and lawns were mowed weekly. Abundant wildlife and various birds visiting frequently. We will return!

Well staffed and well maintained site. Brilliant continuous water and hot showers. Would definitely stay again. Loved that we were on the end so had a lovely view of the field.
