Stars and Moor

If almost wild camping with spectacular views is up your street, you're in the right place! Stars and Moor is on the edge of the Bodmin Moor National Landscape. There are just a handful of non electric camping pitches on site, all spread out across two acres of pastureland. The location is great for walking and cycling routes too, with Golitha Falls within a five minute drive. Adrenalin Quarry is only 20 minutes away too!

About Stars and Moor

The area is ideal for scenic public footpaths and cycleways. Set on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (National Landscape) with Bodmin Moor accessible directly from the front gate. It is also within the World Heritage site of the Caradon Mining District, steeped in local history. There are just four tent pitches across two acres of pasture fields, surrounded by uninterrupted views stretching to the distant south coast. All pitches are stone-free with grassy terrain, allowing campers to select their preferred spot upon arrival. Vehicles are parked in the designated parking area, from which camping gear and holiday essentials can be transported to your pitch using a wheelbarrow. Evenings can also be spent al fresco cooking beside your tent with fire pits available for hire, complete with a plentiful supply of firewood. The protected dark skies mean on cloudless nights star gazing is also amazing! Dogs can join you for your getaway too, with up to two pups permitted per pitch! This campsite is certified with The Greener Camping Club making sure your camping trip is responsibly offered with respect to nature and the environment. For every member enrolled a tree will be planted on site.

Facilities and amenities

There is a toilet and hot shower in a converted horse box, as well as an outdoor washing up area with hot water. A communal fridge and freezer, an area to charge up your devices and also a space to hang up wet clothes can be found in a stable block on site.

The nearest shop is Minions Shop and Tea Room which is a five minute drive and the closest pub is the Crows Nest which is a 25 minute walk.
