Friendly team. Clean and tidy site. Best shower on a camper site that we've ever had. Good location. Good views and easy access to the steam train route.

The location was so peaceful and the hosts were excellent. It was great to buy their own organic burgers and cook them on the pit fire they hired to us. You could also buy food in their onsite shop to feed the donkey's etc which seemed a great hit with the younger children onsite.
So quiet and peaceful

Lovely campsite in a beautiful part of the country. Very friendly staff and clean facilities. Information about walks from the site, I caught the bus into Caernarfon, which was also easy after a 15 min walk into the village.
Lovely one night stay

When we arrived, we were shown to our pitch, gorgeous scenery and very accommodating. Showers and toilets were immaculate, small tuck shop on site where you can purchase anything from sweets, mushrooms to milk and fresh eggs, - absolutely spot on, we will definitely be back!

The staff at Tyn-Yr-Onnen were great. We had booked as two groups separately and upon arrival, they kindly allowed us to pitch together anyway. They gave us a tour of the facilities and were up front about some plumbing issues and when we could expect to them to be resolved. We hired a fire pit for 3 days and due to poor weather, were unable to use it, so they allowed us to keep it free of charge for another 3 days. Facilities were always clean and the showers were lovely. The location is a close drive to a lot of great walks and attractions. We had no issues at all during our stay but I don't doubt that the staff would have been happy to help. We also had our dog with us on her first camping excursion and there was plenty of space around our pitch to allow her some freedom of space while tethered. The site has an on-leash only rule which I feel was wise given the livestock on the farm, but may be a turn off for some owners. We had a great stay and hope to visit again in the future.

The location is situated in a beautiful part of Caernarfon with owners who were very welcoming and friendly. The facilities such as the showers, toilets and utility area were maintained to excellent conditions. I highly recommend it for families with young and older children to go camping. I've never travelled to North Wales so it was our first time and would definitely revisit this beautiful part of Wales. The site is truly breathtaking and will be back with teenagers as they missed out on this trip. Thank you to the owners who have taken great care in maintaining this site to an excellent standard.

Good host, good service, clean facilities, fabulous views, super location with things to do close by, kids playground. Hard to pitch, tent-soil full of stones. Allocated places for tents could be slightly bigger.

Very nice and friendly, helpful staff, lovely camping site with nice views. There is a lot to do round the site: walking, bike-riding, and its not too far to get to the beach and to Tesco, the harbour and other places. Nice shop on campsite.

The campsite was immaculate, the staff were extremely hard working. The location is great and the site itself felt safe and had a great atmosphere. We will 100% be going back soon.

Not much into camping/campsites, so all a new experience. Stayed in a pod. Great facilities on site, pod had a heater and electricity, with table and chairs and a BBQ outside. Shower blocks as clean as you could expect for a communal site. Good mix on site of couples, families, groups of friends and hikers. A site for everyone. Definitely want to come back and have a longer stay.

My partner and I had a short but lovely stay at Tyn-yr-Onnen. It is down a track, so sounds of nature, plus the occasional distant toot from a regional steam engine, replace those of traffic. Facilities were spotless, with good, hot showers and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Llanberis is a short drive or hilly cycle away. We were there for the Snowdon Trail Marathon, but too tired afterwards for a planned excursion to Caernarfon. Fortunately, there is a pub close by (a 15 min walk) where we ate and drank perfectly well and (unfortunately) watched England lose the Euros final! Great place to stay.
What a gem!

We had a lovely 2 nights stay here in June 2024. It was a good base for climbing Snowdon, 30 minutes drive to the Pyg Track. We arrived very late and the owners were brilliant at communicating with us and informing us where our pitch was. The pitch itself was great, we had electric hook up, the ground was flat. We were in field 1, a great location for the toilets and showers and utility room. The showers were clean and tidy, there were 2 shower blocks which was handy. There is a children's play park and a small shop onsite. There is a pub a 11 minute walk away. The food was good hearty food just what was needed after walking. A lovely site, would recommend x

Lovely little campsite, toilets and showers were nice and clean. The grass was a bit rocky so we struggled to get the pegs in but it was no drama, we got there in the end. Our tented neighbours were very noisy, not sure if the campsite has a 'no noise after a certain time policy' - maybe something to put in place. The location was lovely.

We spent a lovely 3 days here. The road in is a little bit narrow so large motorbikes may struggle, although there were plenty of caravans and some small motorhomes on the site (not sure if most of these are there permanently?) The site staff were very welcoming and friendly. There is a bus service at the end of the track to the site that will take you to the walking trails for Snowdon or to the coast. Would definitely recommend this campsite!

Excellent site, definitely will go back. Lovely location. Wi-Fi is an issue. There was a weak signal, but a lack of online access to services like listening to music and sending WhatsApp pictures - maybe charge for this service?
