A note from the site themselves...
We are Pete and Sara Bull, owners of Poplars Farm. We enjoy welcoming visitors and seeing them relax and recharge their batteries. It is lovely to see many people return and bring friends, whether you are new to camping and glamping or a seasoned pro, we are happy to help you and chat or leave you in peace.
The farm has been in the family for over 70 years and had dairy cattle and pigs at one time, Pete also ran a successful firewood business, but we are semi-retired now with just a few chickens and ducks for lovely fresh eggs. We run the campsite with our spaniel, Jess. Jess would like to join any small gathering, BBQ or picnic, but, don't worry, we keep an eye on her.
We pride ourselves on running our campsite well and its beauty is in the magnificent views, as well as the low number of visitors even when full, allowing for a sense of being at one with nature. We do not seek to increase capacity, but we are always looking for ways to improve the site whilst maintaining a wholesome camping experience!
5 x Hardstanding Touring Pitches (Optional Electric)
Max 2 people

Very relaxing stay. Great for adults and dogs on bus route. Friendly welcome.
Amenities very clean. Dogs very welcome - good local walks and exercised in the fields. On the bus route between Belper and Ashbourne - bus stop just outside the farm. Close to Carsington Waters.
Lovely farm shop in nearby village. Some road noise, but not excessive - appeared to stop overnight. Excellent value for money - would recommend.
We came up to the area from Cambridge from Friday to Sunday and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of site.
Pete was there to welcome us when we arrived and showed us the facilities. It's a lovely little site with 5 pitches, with a lovely view across the hills.
Facilities were perfect for what we needed. Location is great and super easy to get to some great walks. Also good pub about 20min walk away.
We really loved our stay and we'll definitely be back.
Thank you! Harriet & Katy.
