Set in the delightful Suffolk countryside with easy access to the coast, The Croft Campsite is a small family run campsite located halfway between Framlingham and Halesworth. Welcoming tents and tourers on grass pitches, along with a cosy pod and canvas tent for glampers. It is the ideal location for a family holiday with friendly owners, good facilities, a playground, play barn and an indoor area with picnic tables for communal dining!

A great site, very friendly owners and really well run. Lots do including table tennis! The Friday night BBQ was really good. Really clean toilets and great shower facilities (hot and powerful showers!) You can charge your phones, get wifi in reception and even order croissants for the morning. A great place for a family to go.

We didn't realise until part-way through our visit that we had actually stayed here exactly two years previously. On our first visit we stayed in the pod but by this visit we had invested in a large tent. We were in the back corner of the middle field which was a great location. Although it was a longer walk to the toilets and showers (less than a minute walk still!) it was perfect. By being in a corner we felt we had our own space when we wanted it but there was still plenty of other people in the field to chat to. There was ample space in the plot for our large tent and our car with a bike rack on. The facilities at the campsite would suit a wide range of campers. We were too late to book to get a plot with electric but we didn't feel we needed it to be honest. There are fridges and freezers to keep food and drinks cold in (make sure you label your items with your name and your check-out date) and I made myself a cuppa each morning with the handy kettle provided in the reception area. We had bought a foldaway solar panel for charging phones/power banks so there was no need for access to electricity. For the kids (we took our 11 year old with us) there is a big barn with table tennis and table football in and a small wooden play park but the kids spent most of the time riding around on their bikes and taking it in turns to roar around on the pedal go karts (which were much in demand). There is also a large field that is for playing rather than camping and we saw football played and kites flown on the space too. Two musts are the Friday night BBQ hosted by the campsite (book in advance and there is an additional charge). The food was yummy and it was good to get to know the other campers. The other must is to order freshly baked pain au chocolat for breakfast each morning. They are proved and baked fresh overnight and can be collected from 8.30am each morning. We will definitely be back.

Excellent little family run site. Staff were so friendly and co-operative. Lovely setting, brilliant breakfast on the Sunday morning, we missed the BBQ on the Friday, but would definitely want to be there for that next time.? Would highly recommend.

Fabulous site, very flat and very peaceful. Spotlessly clean toilets and showers and very welcoming hosts. Lovely amenities (use of fridges/freezers and plenty to keep teenagers amused) and wonderful to be able to have a fire pit in the evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hosts Maria and Guy have put a lot of effort into this site and it shows! In a great location with access to the Suffolk countryside and coastline. We attended a wedding at the site which was booked in its entirety - this worked out brilliantly over a 4 day period. The food at the barbecue was excellent, as was everything else.

Thank you so much for this lovely review. We were so pleased that the wedding was a success, and a memorable time was had by all especially the bride and groom. We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of something so special. Maria and Guy

Beautifully clean toilets and showers. Really lovely family feel from the owners who go out of their way to say hello and help. Lovely family feel campsite and great for kids. Lots of space around tents which I'm noticing is hard to find with some campsites cramming people in to make money. Will return next Summer for sure.

Lovely stay! Very well maintained campsite. Toilets and showers very clean. We had one of the firepits which was great. Maria and Guy are very welcoming lovely people. They offer a cooked breakfast roll on Sundays which was clearly made with really good quality ingredients - Maria is noticeably meticulous about hygiene when preparing/serving. There's also two under cover areas and plenty for children to do. We took our Labrador and made use of the enclosed area for her. We would definitely recommend this campsite.

A great campsite. Lovely, spacious, flat pitches. Mostly tents with families, which we liked. Great idea to hire out firepits and also to have the communal BBQ, which was good value. Only small downside was that there was not really enough showers, so at busy times, there was a bit of a queue. A really well organised site, without feeling regimented.

We were really impressed with this campsite. The pitches are of good size so that you are not on top of your neighbours, the toilet and shower facilities were always spotlessly clean. It's a great site for children and is situated in the countryside, but near enough to Laxfield for the Co-op and 2 pubs. We will certainly return in the future.

We stayed 3 nights. Toilets and showers were very modern and spotlessly clean. Very child friendly - grandson loved the go carts, table tennis and table football. Large field for games. Arrival to the site doesn't reflect the standard of the campsite itself. Waste bins, trailers etc. are your first views. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

One of the best campsites around, and we've tried a few, we love it so much we've kept returning over the last ten years and have yet to find its match. We're a mixed group of friends - two families with young kids, one with a dog, and a couple. All our needs and interests are well catered for: optional fire pits, excellent frequently cleaned showers/toilets and kitchen blocks, a barn open to one side able to accommodate all guests for an optional fun Friday BBQ cooked by the owners, where there are several large fridge-freezers, plus another barn with various games and go-karts etc and an outside playground area for kids to enjoy. Pitches are well-spaced apart in several small fields, groups are able to book pitches next to one another, providing a safe, private yet spacious and friendly atmosphere. Fab location, lots of nearby villages with pubs, about half an hour drive from Southwold and the coast. The owners have continued to make improvements year on year and really couldn't do more to make it a special and wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Beautiful site in a lovely, quiet and accessible location. The toilet and shower facilities were first class, very clean and warm. This was our first camping trip of the season and it could not have been any better. For us, the grass pitches were dry and well tended. We do not use our vehicle when camping so it is important for us to have places to visit within cycling distance. The Croft has Laxfield nearby with great Pubs and Guildhall museum. Lovely rides through quiet lanes.
