Amazing stay!

Can't fault this experience! Everything you could need in the pod and clean. Much easier than camping whilst also feeling like a more luxury break away! Lovely quiet site with only 2 pods and key safe on arrival, and numbers for owners if needed…but left to just enjoy the stay which is what we wanted. In a very peaceful location but lots around the area and supermarket 5 minutes away. Will definitely look to return when we can!

Amazing

Absolutely amazing! I booked this for my partner's 30th birthday and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I booked, Barbara was there if I had any questions, she also took in a delivery for us, which was really nice of her. The pod was amazing and the hot tub was brilliant. It was so peaceful and quiet, we loved every minute. We will definitely be back.

Stayed 3 nights

Stayed for 3 nights with my wife and two kids. We enjoyed our stay. It was a nice location and was fairly quiet. The pod and hot tub were nice. The owner is hands off, which we prefer. They text me the day before with a basic set of instructions and only came once to check the water in the hot tub. We would definitely go back again as we prefer these types of breaks where it's peaceful and you can just relax. The only downside I would say is that the cleanliness could have been a bit better. The glass panel on one of the doors had smudges over it and needed wiped and there was still hair in the shower from the previous people who has stayed there. Apart from that though, we would recommend it if you want to get away from it all for a couple of days. We told family and friends about it and they might consider it in the future.

Great weekend away

Overall, we had a really good time at this lodge and fitted exactly what our needs were. It was nice to be out in the countryside but be close to a couple nearby towns to pick up stuff. There was just a small couple issues with the cleanliness of the place. The rubbish from the last people that had stayed hasn't been taken out and the sink looked clean, but when you lifted up the plug, there was some dirt and food underneath, plus the sugar that had been left had spilled in the cupboard. These are just small issues though, which we could easily resolve ourselves. The rest of the place was clean just the kitchen area that had the problems I would definitely recommend coming here! Oh, and the hot tub was amazing :)

Another lovely stay

This is the second time we have stayed here. The weather wasn't so kind but nevertheless, great stay. Really private (we booked both pods), clean and has everything you need for a great weekend away.

Chilled midweek break.

We really enjoyed our stay, the peace and quiet really suited us, as we needed a break from busy city life and work. A compact, but comfortable pod with everything we needed. Nice location, but car essential . The hot tub was good too.

The Den

We had a fantastic couple of days, it was so relaxing, the pods and hot tub were great. The pods had everything we needed, and we will definitely be booking them again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easter holiday break

We stayed for 2 nights for some time out of the city. The weather wasn't on our side but the hot tub was warm enough to enjoy & the den pod was warm for us going back inside! :) Barbara was great with communication. Enough room for the 4 of us to be there comfortably for the 2 nights. Will be booking up again for the next school break!

Absolutely fantastic

What a fantastic place. This is secluded, nice and relaxed. Just what we wanted. Nothing was too much for Barbara who went above and beyond for us. What a lovely woman and what a lovely place!! We will 100% be back and will 100% recommend the pods at West Auchenean.

Booked for a second time

Loved this place so much that I booked again with a group of friends in February.

Relaxing weekend

Just spend the weekend here and it was so relaxing! Would definitely be back, owners were lovely and so easy to contact, brilliant service.

Ladies treat

Great wee weekend, nice and quiet and hot tub was good. Maybe a little too much chlorine but that's all. Will definitely be back.

Amazing time away

We really enjoyed our two nights away here. Loved the pod, it was so comfortable and cosy. Plenty to keep kids busy if we brought them as well. The area is so peaceful. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves as the roost pod wasn't occupied. One of the nicest birthdays I've had, the perfect place to switch off and leave the real world for a while. Thank you.

Our stay

Good price for this pod. 2 days of holidays is enough to spend a good time and to rest. The area was clean and tidy. I am happy back there and have recommended this place to my friends.

This place was very nice and especially the hot tub was fun.

Good stay overall, however could have been cleaner

Some crumbs under the bed when we arrived and the fridge, kettle and windows had greasy marks on them. Some glasses had water at the bottom too. Other than that we had a great stay!

Peaceful weekend away

Overall it's what you would expect from glamping. The location is at a quiet remote area, very peaceful & calm. The facilities are good, bathroom,kitchen, fridge, utensils, etc are provided as well as a BBQ & fire pit outside. Cleanliness is questionable though I myself have a pretty high standard, it's what you would expect I guess as it is glamping. There were areas in the pod that can do with more cleaning and there were stains on the sofa beds, etc which is a bit off putting but we did say we will return some day.

Sub-par stay

Lovely location & pod layout. However, there were a few disappointing factors to do with the cleanliness of the pod. Overall the pod was poorly cleaned including the shower & windows being dirty, we found a used plaster at the hot tub on arrival as well as the hot tub itself not being the cleanest. There was also old food found behind the bin, under the sink, which was also disappointing. Overall it was a good stay but the general cleanliness let it down.

I can assure you that, in compliance with the legislation, the hot tub was emptied, cleaned, and refilled, immediately prior to your visit. As we do for all guests. In any business, mistakes can occasionally occur, and we normally seek to respond to any issues as soon as possible. As you didn't raise any concerns with us when you arrived, or at any point during or after your stay, we were unfortunately not given the opportunity to rectify anything that had been missed.

Great stay

Great location, pods well equipped and enclosed garden perfect for dogs and kids alike.

A lovely and peaceful stay

We stayed in the pod with my husband and our son, his wife and their 1-year-old son. It was perfect. We had a barbecue (provided on-site) and we even had an archery contest! The jacuzzi was great to relax in the evening.

West Auchenean

My only complaint was there was food left in the fridge from previous guests.

Great place to stay

Could not find a fault with anything, apart from not staying longer. Great location and 10 minutes from large or 2 minutes from Lochwinnoch. Will definitely be returning soon.

Brilliant stay

Had a great wee stay this weekend. Ideal for a relaxing stay away from people, yet not too far if you wanted to go a wonder into Largs etc. Would defo recommend and stay again :-)

Peaceful break

Myself and my two boys stayed in the Roost pod. Inside the pod is bigger than I'd imagine which was good. Very clean inside and had everything you need for a short or long stay. Beds were very comfy. Hot tub was excellent. Perfect break away for folk who just want that peaceful and relaxing stay. Will definitely be returning in near future.
