Things to do on site and in the Wrexham area
Numerous shops and great pubs will give you a proper Welsh welcome in the Hope and Caergwrle villages. From there you can visit the market town of Mold with its own range of independent shops and tasty farmers' market.
Take a stroll along the pretty River Alyn and watch the sun go down. Wrexham and Chester are only 7 miles away, both well worth the visit.
Chester isn't just about its famous zoo, it's ringed with ancient Roman walls, has a racecourse where you can have a flutter on the action and wind down with the peaceful blooms at Ness Botanic Gardens.
Spend a day getting to know Wrexham's pretty country parks and from there it's an easy hop to Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and the National Trust's Erddig.
