The Old Wheelwrights Retreat is an adult only touring site located in the small village of Firsby, at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB. The site has five electric grass touring pitches for campervans, caravans and motorhomes. The site is within easy reach of many of Lincolnshire's best beaches, including Skegness just 20 minutes away.

About The Old Wheelwrights Retreat
This adult only site is tucked away behind large wooden gates, and set in two acres of restful land, making it ideal for peace and quiet. Close to both the Lincolnshire Coast (20 minutes) and the Lincolnshire Wolds (35 minutes), it is an ideal location to explore all that this beautiful county has to offer. The site has only five touring pitches available, all with 10 amp electric. The pitches all offer picturesque views across the wildlife pond but do require levelling blocks due to the sloping terrain. If you're wanting to enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches of Lincolnshire, you are within 30 minutes of Ingoldmells Beach, Huttoft Beach and Mablethorpe North Promenade. The site is a certified location with Caravan and Motorhome Club and is for members only. Dogs are welcome free of charge.

Things to do on site and in the Spilsby area
For those wanting to explore the nearby countryside, there are plenty of public footpaths leading from the site, ideal for dog walks.
Skegness is just 20 minutes away and is packed with things to keep you busy. Head to the aquarium where you can snorkel with sharks and see an array of fish and underwater creatures. Or, visit Natureland Seal Sanctuary (20 minutes) and see the seals being nursed back to health along with penguins, meerkats, crocodiles and much more!
Head to the beach and enjoy an ice cream or even a donkey ride. The Skegness Pier also offers the nostalgic feel of a traditional seaside holiday with its arcade, ten pin bowling and now modern escape room!
Visit the ancient port and market town of Wainfleet All Saints (ten minutes) and find the famous Batemans Brewery which has been crafting beer since 1847. Enjoy a tour or just pick up some of the amazing beers to enjoy back at the comfort of your pitch.
To take in some of the area's history, head to National Trust - Gunby Estate, Hall and Gardens (five minutes) where you can enjoy the 18th century manor with its preserved paintings and charming walled gardens. Or, visit Tattershall Castle (30 minutes) and learn about its 800 year history and explore its moats, bridges and grounds.
