It was our 1st time caravanning, so was a bit nervous pulling on to the site, but everyone was so helpful from other caravaners to the host. I have already booked again as it was the perfect stay, very clean toilets and showers and a superb cafe for breakfast and coffee. Definitely would recommend.

Very nice site. Will stay again. Very handy for Clacton-On-Sea, Walton-on-the-Naze and Frinton-on-Sea.

What a lovely nice place to stay, nice and quiet. Me and my partner visited as we wanted weekend away. We wanted to stay another day, which we asked owners about and they said it was fine. We're definitely going to come back here with all my family as it child friendly, which is nice.

Absolute gem of a place. We had a lovely time celebrating my partners birthday. We hired the pod along with the fire pit. Tranquil setting, wonderful host, and spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble, even after a few requests. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we were through the gate. Would definitely recommend.

A lovely campsite for our first outing with our new tent. Phil is such a nice guy and makes you feel really welcome. There’s a playground and cafe. The facilities were immaculate, constantly cleaned.

Really clean site, good size pitches, friendly helpful owner and a great location just a short drive from Clacton-on-Sea, but maintaining a peaceful rural feel. The showers were exceptionally clean, warm and powerful (unlike most sites). The toilets were equally clean and well maintained. I had the best nights sleep, although the other campers may have been disturbed by my loud snoring. Woke up late and didn't feel pressured to vacate early. Loved the atmosphere of this site. Looking forward to returning again some day.

Unfortunately my trip was delayed due to bad weather. Phil was so kind to contact me a few days before to discuss postponing my trip, which I gratefully accepted. Fingers crossed for better weather when I'm back in England later in the year.
A great place to stay

A bit confusing on arrival, as reception was a post in the field. Someone who wasn't the owner approached and directed us to the pitch. If you've got dogs give St Osyth beach a miss, although it's got a good cafe. Martins Farm Park is best for dog walking.
Lovely little campsite, will return!

We loved our visit to The Pretty Thing. We stayed in a glamping bell tent, the bed was comfortable and the tent was clean and nicely decorated. The site was really quiet when we stayed which we loved, and the owner was very friendly. The coffee shop serves fabulous coffee and breakfast sandwiches. My daughter liked the little play area, and the park is located within a short drive of Clacton sea front.
As always a perfect break, and always pleased to be there

Great small site with great facilities, including a fridge and freezer to use. Owners very friendly, visible and nothing is too much trouble if you need anything. Very clean. George's is great for breakfast, great quality and great value. Park is good for kids to play and make friends. Would definitely return and recommend.

First time at the site. Lovely location, small site and well kept. The owner, Phil, is very friendly and welcoming and his staff member Katie was a joy. All in all a lovely relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay over the weekend. The campsite is cosy and well looked after. Cleanest campsite I have visited. Phil is a fantastic host and looked after us after during the visit. Lovely cup of coffee in the morning with food options available. We will definitely recommend to friends and family and will be visiting again in the future.

Pleasant well run site with a friendly owner. The only disappointment was not enough toilets and showers for the number of guests on a busy weekend.

The owner of the site was very friendly and helpful. Everything was very tidy and clean...the cleaners do a fantastic job keeping the toilets and showers clean. A lot of thought has gone into the glamping tents and huts . Very enjoyable stay.
More showers?

Great location for the Clacton/ Frinton coast, far better than Colchester where I stayed last time. Good, flat field, wide open, plenty of space. Good EHU connection along a low fence feeding both sides of fence for touring caravans, so tourers are in two separated fields. Peaceful outside school holidays, but fair play, kids deserve holidays too. Large field for tents, seems to be popular for overnight stays. Would like to see a dedicated toilet/shower block. What there is (pre fab units) are clean, well maintained, but would expect it to get very busy in school hols. Overall, will use this again. Can't say fairer than that.
