Shallow Grange Farm has the right combination of eco friendly ethos and a location worth travelling for - sitting just three miles from Buxton in the activity-filled Peak District National Park. Campfires welcome and fishing provided on site.

About Shallow Grange Farm

This working sheep farm is home to 110 luxurious acres of grassed farmland, with views across Derbyshire's green hills - and excellent stargazing at night thanks to its location in a Dark Sky area. Today the site offers camping with the comfort of flat and well drained pitches, for tents and tourers, including electric. Only small motorhomes up to 7m can be accepted. It's a pleasant space, environmentally friendly and steeped in a spot of history - this was where an iconic Sherwood regiment once camped, at the turn of the century. One dog per pitch is welcome to join you.

The site is open from Easter until October.

Facilities and amenities

The site uses solar panels for electricity and offers flushing toilets which use rain water. Toilets and showers benefit from under floor heating powered by an eco friendly system. Fire pits can be hired on site and there is a well stocked fishing pond.
