Harbour Lights is located just outside the village of Haverigg on the south-western tip of the Lake District National Park. There are non electric grass pitches as well as electric gravel and hardstanding pitches, perfect for campers and tourers alike. Or opt for a camping or glamping pod for something a little easier. An idyllic spot for relaxing, a two minute walk from Haverigg Beach.

Location information not detailed enough. Direction instruction inadequate near site. We lost way several times even following GPS navigation closely, leading to late late arrival.

A perfect site for our weekend. The owners are lovely and the facilities are among the best we've seen - immaculately clean. The site itself is extremely well kept with a quiet, friendly atmosphere - well, it was quiet until I had my motorcycle running - sorry guys! We will definitely be coming back - just not during monsoon season!

Excellent site, the team were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, all the facilities were immaculate, can't rate the staff and management highly enough. The only criticism would be that they could do with better signage from the main road.

Lovely campsite with excellent faciliites. The showers were lovely and warm. You just pushed the button and the water ran for quite a while before you had to press it again (unlike some showers where you practically have to keep your hand on the button the whole time!). The towel rails were constantly heated. The beach was five minutes away and the village of Haverigg was just a ten minute walk away. Be aware though, that most of the businesses in the village don't take cards, only cash, though there is a cashpoint outside the post office. We had lovely, reasonably priced meals in the Ski Bar and the Harbour Hotel (both huge portions) and I can recommend the Ski Bar lager. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with some lovely walks and I would recommend Harbour Lights if you're wanting a relaxing break.

Very pleasant stay. When we arrived it was blowing a gale so I asked if we could upgrade to a pod. The ladies I dealt with in the office was great. It was out of hours but nothing was too much trouble.
Had a wonderful stay

Outstanding shower/wet rooms. Very busy site but plenty of toilets/showers and washing up facilities. Beautiful landscape, with views of the hills and next to a lovely nature reserve (great hour circular walk). Almost on site bar was lovely and Haverigg had a decent beach and local bars/shop. Great for families.

A fantastic campsite. The site is kept clean, tidy and well maintained. Plenty of facilities, the toilet/shower block is cleaned regular with good lighting and is heated. There is a homemade ice cream shop on site, absolutely delicious and even do cones for dogs. Ski bar, fish & chip shop, pub and grocery shop all within walking distance. My favourite campsite so far.
Loved it

This was the first time in our camper van and awning. Me and my fella. Loved it. I wanted a site near a beach. A family did turn up the day before we came home, and they had 5 boys. They were just having fun, but it had been quite peaceful prior to that. (You can't expect kids to be quiet, it's just exciting for them.) The site was lovely, location was great. Loved that it had a bar close and pubs, local chippy, walks, ice-cream parlour, water park near. I will definitely return with my niece and nephews. The only downside is the toilet hut that just had toilets in and didn't have toilet roll in on a few occasions. I tried to keep the shower and toilet cubicle free for those that wanted showers. It also needed a rubber broom in all the shower cubicles, so we could clear down after a shower, but I always go in flip flops anyway so it wasn't a huge deal.

We enjoyed our stay that much we booked an extra night. They really couldn't have been any more welcoming, dog friendly and locals were lovely. Really quirky bar 2 mins away and a great beach walk. All facilities were clean and easily accessible. We will most definitely be back 👍🤗

Loved this site. The lady at reception was friendly and showed us to our pitch, just opposite the homemade ice cream parlour. The showers and toilets were combined which was a great idea. Hot water and a towel rail. Very clean. Close to a local restaurant, pubs and a local shop, also a fish and chip shop. Great dog walking on the area. We came across the owners while out walking who introduced us to their pet sleep who they rescued. I'd definitely recommend this place and would be going back.

Ideal site if you have dogs, also if you enjoy going for walks. Small shop within walking distance of site for basic items, good showers and toilets. The ski bar is ok but felt it was a bit expensive.

The busiest park on our tour of the North West, but for the one night, it had everything we needed!

Owner is very friendly and went out of her way to get details of the nearest chip shop for us that was open. Great walks nearby.

On arrival, the staff in reception were absolutely brilliant, explaining where all the facilities were, which were very clean and well kept! The problem I had was I didn't think there is a lot to do unless you get in the car as you can only walk the harbour so many times! Not the site's fault but it rained on and off and the site became waterlogged very quickly, with an inch of water inside the awning making for a very dirty caravan - especially with the dogs!

Ignore negative reviews, the lady on reception is a star - so helpful. Toilet/shower rooms cleaned twice a day, lovely walk into Millom then back by bay to site via Ski bar, Great site, even in February.
Nice but too many potholes

The only downside to this park is the amount of large potholes that look like they have been like there a while. It made it very difficult for driving in and walking around. Plus when you have guests staying, I think you should have the shop open selling a few essentials. The staff were very helpful.
Just want to say a huge thank you

I bought this stay for my son's 18th birthday. Prior to the visit, I phoned to see if there was anything they could do (banner or balloon) in his pod to mark the occasion. There was a balloon waiting in his pod at no additional cost to me, which I was so grateful for. When my son arrived, there was a slight issue and when he spoke to the staff, they upgraded him to one of their best pods. All free of charge. He's had a great stay and the effort the staff went to was really great. I will defo be recommending this place to others and telling them how they went above and beyond for my son on his landmark birthday.

Lovely site - shame about the weather! Very friendly site, with excellent facilities that were kept clean. February weather in the western lakes is not ideal, but the dogs were happy with the beaches. Will look to return when (if?) the sun makes an appearance.

We stayed with our border collie dog, there were really good walks for her from site and a lovely beach at Haverigg. The weekend was really good, however the small coffee/ice cream shop was closed on Monday and the Ski Club next door only opened at 12.00pm and closed at 5.00pm. In the evening, you either had to walk to Haverigg to go to the pub, or stay in and watch TV etc, as we have a motorhome and we rarely leave the site once we've pitched up. We love to have breakfast out, so for this reason have marked down what would otherwise have been an almost perfect site for us. I've put 4 stars for standard of service, as the lady who checked us in was lovely but we never saw anyone else. I did go to reception a couple of times but it was closed with only an emergency phone number on the door. As it was out of season, it was perfectly reasonable, but not when you compare it with other sites. We felt it was also, at just over £30 per night, a little expensive for the winter season. But saying that, we would definitely stay again.

Myself, my partner and my puppy had a lovely weekend. The site was very well kept with good facilities. We will go to Harbour Lights again, maybe when the weather warms up!
