My wife and I stayed for 1 evening on the way home from Scotland. We thought the toilets and dishwashing area were very clean. The Engine Shed was a treat, with a few drinks and a roast dinner. And finally, the river walk was a fantastic surprise. Well worth checking out.

We stayed here for one night on our way back from Scotland after doing the NC500, we wished we had more time to stay longer. We arrived after the reception had closed, but the information was left for us and everything was explained fully. The site was beautiful, exceptionally clean and there was plenty of space not to encroach on your neighbours. An added bonus was an onsite restaurant and bar, which we enjoyed a couple of drinks and some food. The facilities were immaculately clean, modern and a pleasure to use. We will definitely use this site again and we would thoroughly recommend.

Ticks every box for me. Good pitches with plenty of room. Facilities excellent and spotlessly clean. Main issue I had was no concrete to park motorcycle on next to tent. A row or two of paving slabs is normally sufficient and saves problems with soft grass/mud giving stand issues. Fab site and Kirkby Stephen is a lovely town.

Absolutely amazing campsite. Extremely clean. Everything available. The walks are superb and the young lady on reception is so friendly and happy to answer any questions. Some of which, I'm sure she thought I was daft, lol. I'd personally recommend this campsite to everyone and can guarantee the time spent here will be one to remember. The crème de la crème.

Fantastic site. Lovely facilities and the "Engine Shed' is a great bar and eating place. It's like a site pub on the doorstep. Site is perfect location for lots of walks that this part of the Dale's has to offer too. Highly recommended.

This is a great little campsite in a picturesque location. The added bonus of an onsite bar called 'the engine shed'. There was a live band on when we got there on bank hol Sunday, there was brilliant food available too. The weather was rubbish so was great to pop into the engine shed for some respite from the weather There was a little kitchen to use too which was handy on our last morning so we could pack our stove and kettle away etc and use their kettle toaster etc. Can freeze icepacks at reception, very handy. Lovely walk by river into Kirkby Stephen. Will deffo be back.
Feeling vulnerable

Very friendly, helpful staff. Lovely new toilet and showers. The site has some good street lamp type lighting, but I discovered that my pitch, no.10, was in complete darkness on the door side of my van when I walked back to it on the last evening there. I had reversed my van onto the pitch. If had I realised how dark it would be, I'd have parked the other way round. I felt vulnerable because it was at the end of the site in a cul de sac, next to a gate leading to a public footpath. I'd suggest that you don't place single people on that pitch in future.

We stayed for one night at Pennine view campsite, on an electric tent pitch. I had a kind, welcoming email before arrival and we were welcomed at the reception by 2 very nice members of staff, Hannah and Pam. The campsite exceeded our expectations! The main shower and toilet block was excellent, very modern and clean. The showers were excellent and powerful, there is even a small block with 2 excellent showers and toilet cubicles next to the tent pitch. The park was nipping clean everywhere, with lots of bins and great dishwasher facilities. The on - site pub was fantastic! The campsite is in a brilliant location in Kirkby Stephen, a lovely village with nice pubs and shops, all very friendly. Top notch, 10/10 and would highly recommend.

Enjoyed one night here in our camper van but will definitely return and stay longer next time. Friendly site with clean modern facilities and a brilliant onsite bar. Level pitch half grass half hardstand with hook up at a very reasonable price. Lovely river walk from site and just over half a mile from Kirkby Stephen town.

I very pleasantly surprised at how clean and fresh the wash rooms and general condition of the park lawns and flower beds were. The staff were very happy to help with anything we needed and the bar was nice. Highly recommended campsite.

We really enjoyed our short stay at the park, even though the weather wasn't great! My family appreciated the hot showers at the end of the day and also, the welcome for us all at the engine shed, including our dog. My little boy was happy to play in the park and was delighted to spot rabbits each morning on the site. The site was well thought out with enough space for each family to stay. Thank you.

Great, small campsite. Received a warm welcome on arrival. Facilities are good, clean and tidy. We really enjoyed our stay but due to the weather were van bound. Would recommend and will visit again.

Nice little site, ideal for walks into the moors, nice bar on site (The engine shed) that sells different street type food on different days. Also some nice cosy pubs a short walk into Kirkby Stephen. We’ll be back next year!
