Really easy to find from the road, toilets and the washing up area was really clean. I was booked for 2 nights but unfortunately could only stay for one. Close to lots of walks and as a lone woman, I also felt safe. Will return again.
A very convenient site for the location

An excellent place to explore the slopes of Helvellyn. A very busy working farm, that provides clean and very adequate facilities. It's one for the adventurous, who want to be out walking the hills during the day and too tired to notice traffic from the occasional car during the night. The road is busy during the day. There is a great hotel and pub at the side of the site, for food and drinks, but make sure book as it does get busy. I want to explore that area again, I would be more than happy to stay at this site. It had Hardstanding pitches with hook ups and came with our own water supply.

Amazing place to stay. Some lovely views with sheep at the back of you if you like to just watch with a brew. Only issues, though not even an issue really, it is next to a main road, so may hear few vehicles go past. Gorgeous pub next door also. Amazing camping spot, definitely recommend.

I found the pitch quite a small size when you have a dog and felt a bit cramped.

Facilities are basic but very clean, showers are nice and warm. Campsite just off the main road, which can be noisy in the early hours. Surrounding area is very scenic, Keswick close by and easy to access by but bus if deciding not to drive (parking can be busy in Keswick). Pitches are ideal with power and water at hand, toilets, showers and washing up facilities a short walk from pitches. Local Inn/bar next door ideal for an evening meal.

Stayed only for a short weekend, but arriving was easy to navigate. Friendly owners who were very helpful. Love a smaller scale site, plot space was good easy access to your water tap and electrics. Having pub next door was very handy after a day hiking (gets busy advised to book yourself a table) and bus stop right outside site was good for those not wanting to move the van once all set up. Loved having the walking routes and the infinity pool from the site was wonderful. Toilets and showers basic but they were kept clean throughout the stay. What more can you ask for? Wi-Fi not on site, and signal not the greatest, so good for those wanting to disconnect a bit but won't be good for people wanting to stay online whilst they are there. If you're eating and drinking at the pub they do have Wi-Fi you can use if needing to connect phone/watches to routes to get GPS. Thank you for our amazing stay.

Although the site is next to a busy main road, it didn't negatively affect our stay. The pitches were fairly level and spacious. The facilities were basic but functional, the shower heads are a bit low but okay. There was a friendly atmosphere and the pub next door is very pleasant.

Perfect for the one night camper trip. Well presented and efficient, no frills but the essentials are all there. For once showers that don't wet your hanging bits and bobs. Food and hospitality at the Kings Arms next door was fabulous

Lovely little site in a great location for public transport and beautiful views. We have an elderly dog so sadly couldn't do the walks from the site, except to the pub next door ๐ Food there was excellent and staff were very friendly. Bus stops right outside the site and you can get to all the main places from here. The site is in a main road but traffic noise doesn't really affect the stay. Toilets and showers are clean but basic. The owners were helpful and friendly and I would definitely stay again.

Nice campsite in a nice location. The facilities could do with a little upgrading but it was fine for one night. Also, the road was busy, but I guess it's the downside of a good location.

Loved the campsite. We will definitely be booking again next year. We had some vehicle issues and were possibly going to be late, gave them a call and the lady was lovely and helpful. Once we arrived at site (with the AA) the gent who booked us in was very quick to offer us help with his tractor if needed. We waited for several hours the next morning for our recovery truck, we were late leaving site and they were really lovely about it, even going as far as running out to the main road to flag down our recovery vehicle. The views from site are amazing and the pub right next door serves absolutely amazing dinner Canโt wait to return with a more reliable motorhome

We had a great stay at Thirlspot, excellent facilities, brilliant location for a hike up Helvellyn and a pub in walking distance for a pint after! We would definitely recommend staying here and will be visiting again.

Lovely quiet and peaceful adult only campsite. People respected the peace when on site which made it a luxury rest, especially at night. Electric hook up for my van was simple and easy to use. Local walks and pubs were fabulous and there's a bus very close by. I would recommend Thirlspot and will return to stay again.

The location of the campsite was absolutely stunning with great access to local walks. The pub next door was also so lovely to have so close. The owners were friendly and there for all questions, even helped us with our ice packs which was so helpful. Our only issue was that the pitches were right by the roadside which was busy in the day, but quieter at night. Basic facilities but kept clean. Thanks for a lovely stay :)

Lovely stay at Thirlspot Farm. Really quiet, which was fabulous. Inn next door to eat, but we chose to stay on site and have a BBQ. I personally missed not having a reception on my phone, but hubby loved it and I got used to it. Overall facilities were good and we will stay again in the future. Bonus, you didn't have to walk a mile for water (right outside the caravan) and toilets had lovely views. Thank you.

Clean, tidy and easy to use facilities. Not directly the fault of the campsite but should consider campsite Wi-Fi as the signal is very poor in the area.

Great campsite for walking and even infinity pools. Great views and facilities were spotless. Next door to a lovely pub and bus stop across the road.

Loved this little spot. The site is small, and on a farm. That said, it is right on an A road which is noisy during the day but fine at night. Access is straight from the road, so no winding through farmyards. You are based at the bottom of Helvellyn and so a beautiful view every morning. There are all facilities, the toilet and showers are basic (it's a farm) but they are clean and perfectly acceptable. The benefit of the road is that there is a bus stop right outside, with easy access to all major towns. We did Keswick in one direction and then Grasmere/Windemere in the other. Our pitch was already allocated, so none of that 'trying to find a spot' and there is electric and water next to you so easy. Would definitely stay here again. Oh, and the pub right next door to The Kings Head Hotel and Inn - amazing food, lovely beer garden - what more could you want? We were treated well on arrival, the electric tripped once and the farmer sorted it immediately - absolutely nothing to grumble about here.

This is in a great spot adjacent to Thirlmere Water and has a lovely pub within a stone's throw. It is on a main road so expect some noise however the views and location are great. The farm is a working sheep farm with lots of sheep to count at night. ๐
