Facilities clean but doors don't shut on the showers and lights don't work in the portashower part, so had to shower in the dark. Other than that great site, lovely and quiet, brilliant views, easy self check in pick your own pitch. Texted owners for advice before getting there who replied quickly and were happy to help.

Lovely site, close to Kendal but far enough out to be remote. Stunning views for sunsets with cows and sheep in the background. Friendly staff. Toilets a bit smelly and showers clean, but last for 5 seconds so have to keep pressing to get coverage. Clean chemical disposal and bins emptied every day. Would recommend.
Lovely quiet location!

Great area, nice and secluded and not too busy during high season. Owner is very friendly when checking in. Site itself is pretty and facilities are very clean.

If you’re looking for the wild camp experience you’d love this place. Pick your own pitch then phone and let them know you’re there and which pitch you’re on Toilets had plenty of loo roll however previous users had not flushed them but that’s not the fault of the owners There were electric showers but we didn’t use them but great to have. Plenty of water taps so you don’t have to carry it far Would definitely recommend 👍🏻

Great basic site. Fabulous views, peaceful location. Activity centre had a huge choice and was a brilliant wet day option. Definitely recommend!

Very clean and tidy. If I had to criticise something, it'd be the super hot water in the shower. No way to make it colder. My girlfriend loved it though. Beautiful views and 10min to town.

Arrived and got pick of the pitches, all a generous size. Under the grass is very rocky, so bring strong pegs. On the plus side, the extra drainage this provides meant we had no flooding even following a biblical downpour for the best part of 13 hours straight. Location was easy to find from motorway, which is great for routes in and out. However, also can hear motorway of a night. Not a problem just an observation should people be looking to avoid that. Basic portaloo toilets. Two sets, one each end of the campsite with bins in the middle. Area to walk dogs at top of site (if you don't want to go further afield). Showers provided. That said, the water temperature of the showers is similar to that of lava! They are extremely hot, so much so that I fear very young and elderly could scold themselves, so beware of this. I couldn't stand under the jet of water, so take a flannel or something to wash yourself without going under. There is plenty of room inside the shower to do this so again, not a huge issue. No electric pitches. No other recreational facilities for kids. Washing area for pots and pans and drinking water taps provided. Just a basic campsite. As the title suggests, it did the job. The site operate a quiet time between 10pm and 7am. Some individuals pushed this but generally by midnight it is very calm. If you just need a place to stay, this does the job. The basic facilities would, for us, make anything longer than a few nights be quite difficult but we enjoyed the nights we did stay.

We were on route from Scotland to the Lake District and needed an overnight stay. This was perfect for our short stay, everything that we needed was there, lovely well kept site just out of the way enough for some peace and quiet and beautiful views.

Good sized spacious pitches with lovely views over open countryside. Good walk by the river for the dogs that leads straight from the site. Drinking water tap easily accessible. No waste water disposal point, though we only stayed one night so this didn't bother us. Some road noise from the nearby M6 but nothing too disturbing. A lovely well kept site in beautiful surroundings.
