A great location when travelling from the South to North of Wales. It had spacious plots, with lovely views, pleasant hosts and clean facilities . It was just the ticket.

My husband enjoyed the fishing and I enjoyed chilling on the porch watching the world go by, and even enjoyed sitting there watching the storm! My husband caught quite a few fish, not big, but he enjoyed it. I was worried that the pod would be overly small but it was perfect for 2 for 4 nights. Table & chairs were handy. We loved the peace and quiet. The shower/toilet block was extremely clean. Only problem was the pod door dragging on the decking. We would definitely go again.
Lovely campsite, quiet and peaceful

Beautiful area, helpful owner, just a little disappointed - showers (work very well) but awkward having to put money in a meter outside of the shower and just a hook for clothes, towel etc. Apart from this minor detail, we were very happy with the campsite and will definitely visit again.

Really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the site, good host/owner Andrew, always available and on site 24/7. Please note: no onsite shop so be prepared to drive to local facilities. If you are into nature and wildlife as much as we are, it's a must-visit to stretch the legs in Lean valley, then afterwards, take the mountain road to Aberystwyth and see the Red Kites gliding around in abundance. Great photography opportunity. All-in-all, a great site to use as a basecamp.

Nice small and peaceful site, convenient for an overnighter if traveling through mid-Wales on A44 or A483. Good value (as long as you don't spend ages in the coin operated showers - £1 gives you 5 minutes). Toilet blocks could benefit from paper towels or hand dryers, and toilet brushes ;-) Hardstanding are all good level pitches, but as they are gravel only, the grass pitches (summer only?) are nicer, although levelling ramps advisable. Friendly owner and staff on site are very welcoming and helpful.

Thank you, glad you enjoyed your stay! We looked into hand driers and other options when building our facilities. Hand driers are very expensive to run and would take up our solar power for heating the water and don't do a great job of drying your hands. Paper towels are really not very environmentally friendly just to dry hands and throw in the bin, so we settled on proving a hand towel changed daily that can be washed and reused as most come to the facilities with their own towel. We did originally put in toilet brushes but found this to be extremely time consuming as those that used them often put them back dirty and usually dripped mess on the floor whilst replacing them and those that didn't, we had to clean the toilets any way. It's far quicker and easier to just clean the six toilets as we did anyway and no longer have toilet brushes, toilet brush holders and mess on the floor to clean as well, making it quicker and easier to keep at a high standard for all our guests.

We needed a quick one night stopover and this location suited our needs. Very tidy facilities, and the landscaping is also very well kept. The fishing lakes look to be a very tranquil place to spend a few hours. We will definitely book here again, only for a longer stay next time 👍🏼

Best places nearby and great stay in the pod. Andrew is very good and maintains the site very well. You get to see North Wales from here. Best part is you can do a BBQ just outside the pod with a hill view. Cheap and the best. I say go for it, 100% worth it.

It felt nice and secure. Andy was there to greet us, we were able to pitch up easily as it's all on the level hardstand. The facilities were in a really good state. The scenery around the campsite was phenomenal, I'd say it was as good as it gets in the UK away from the coast.

We stayed here for the weekend and had a lovely time. The location is perfect for visiting the local area. It's close to Llandrindod centre and Builth Wells. The site itself overlooks a pretty lake with well-maintained, fantastic and clean facilities. It was a pleasure to take a shower and wash our dishes in the spotless washing-up room. Andy the site owner was helpful and informative. We will definitely return for a future stay. Thanks for making our stay so great.

Just spent four peaceful nights in our campervan at this lovely site. Located close to the Elan Valley, there is plenty of opportunity to get out and about and explore if you so wish or just fish and chill at this well maintained, adult only site. Our hosts Andrew and Helen are just lovely and are clearly invested in providing their guests with a memorable experience. The facilities and grounds are immaculate and are a real credit to their hard work. A highlight for us were the Red Kites that visited us throughout the day, every day. Just wonderful. Highly recommended.

This was very easy to book, quick responses from owner ahead of arrival and easy to book in. The pod was exactly as described. Quality bedding and basic kitchenette. Washing up facilities provided including washing up liquid, sponge and tea towel. Showers (20p per minute) were hot and powerful, toilets always clean. Very close to pod - literally just behind. Table and chairs provided in pod, folded under bed. Lots of space under bed to store bags. Smart TV was good, Wi-Fi worked well. Very quiet site which was extremely well kept and great for fishing if you so desired. Owner was helpful, on hand if needed. Fabulous value for money in August and we would highly recommend this site.
