About Upper Hurst Farm
The owners, a mother and daughter duo, welcome you to their rural campsite. Sitting up in the southern Peak District National Park, the site has an ethos of peace and tranquillity, focused on preserving nature and working sustainably. The views at this site are stunning, and walking in any direction gets you into the open countryside in minutes. Whenever you feel like exploring further, all the best-known market towns of the Peaks are within roughly 10 miles of your base: Bakewell, Ashbourne, Leek and Buxton. All 40 pitches are on a large, gently sloping field boasting open views and high-quality facilities with underfloor heating nearby. Tent campers enjoy grass pitches with electric, while super pitches are complete with all the connections you need for tourers (grey waste, water and 16 amp electricity). Or opt for one of the glamping caravans, set in a private hedged area. They each have a double bed with a memory foam mattress and feather duvet/pillows. Bed linen and towels are included. There is also a small kitchen, a living area and a loo. Shared facilities are nearby. Outside is a table and chairs perfect for your morning brew! In a private little corner you'll find Gaia's Hideaway, a beautiful Mongolian yurt. Sleeping two, it contains a log burner and hot tub to unwind in after exploring the forest. A large, circular memory foam mattress with a luxury feather duvet and pillows awaits. Towels and dressing gowns are included. Gaia Lodge, a bijou stone cottage for two, with a log burner and hot tub, also enjoys panoramic views with stunning sunsets from the enclosed garden. The Manifold Trail is less than a mile away, the Tissington Trail is only 3 miles away, and it's just 11 miles to the Monsal Trail. Dogs are welcome.
The site is open all year for caravans and tents, while the yurt is available from February until November.
