Noisy

Lovely staff, nice location but pitches are very uneven and it was very noisy where we were. We were put up in top right hand corner on pitch next to the safari tent, which had non-stop music and loud kids. Think we will stick to the wee adult only sites from now on. I do think loud music should be banned from all sites, you want peace and quiet not somebody else's music blasting out all day :(
Great place, great price

Good location and reasonably cheap. Nice and quiet too. Very clean and fancy bathroom/toilets that would put many hotels to shame.

This is one of the best campsites we have stayed on. Perfect for everyone with lodges, park ups for motorhomes and caravans and anyone with a tent. The layout of the site is spot-on with all the necessary facilities close by. Several superb toilets and shower blocks along with sinks for washing up and all extremely clean. The staff are around all day, attending to cleaning etc. There is a handy shop at reception with all the essentials. We're already planning a return it was so good š

Great find! Quiet (unless the groups in the lodge decide to have a late night hot tub singalong) and spacious with a designated one mile dog walk around the grounds. Friendly and helpful staff, and clean facilities. Lovely walk across moorland to local village of Caldbeck.
Lovely relaxing campsite

We stayed in the safari tent for three nights. It was lovely and clean on arrival and everything was supplied even tea, sugar and coffee. We only had to take our clothes. The campsite is very tranquil and the owners were friendly and welcoming. The location is in a rural area so you have to drive to get to places, but if you are looking for a quiet getaway it's the perfect place. Plus there is a lovely pub just a 6 min drive away. We would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

Really enjoyed our visit, the site was extremely well looked after and services were of a high standard. There were plenty of people about but it never felt like you couldn't get some peace. The facilities were clean and well presented, the shop was stocked with everything you could need. We hired a fire pit with all the trimmings and had a lovely evening watching the birds and drinking cups of tea. I would 100% recommend the campsite and already planning on visiting with family in the summer. The lady on reception was really helpful and went out of her way to make sure we had a lovely stay... One thing to recommend, if you like chilling watching the birds, bring some binocularsā¦ we saw baby birds being fed, a Woodpecker in the tree, a Kestrel hovering about and a million Swallows, and Sparrowsā¦ really dog friendly and great walks around the fields on site.

Booked to stay on campsite, however, on arrival it was raining heavily, so payed extra to upgrade to the Barn Owl Bothy, which was absolutely amazing, dog friendly, comfortable, had a hot tub and everything you needed... 5 stars!

I would highly recommend this site to everyone, very friendly and welcoming, the toilets and showers were spotless and so was the dish washing area. The campsite is very well looked after, lots of space and a nice dog walking area around the whole campsite which is about a mile and a half. We will definitely be back - maybe to stay in one of the cabins next time!

Amazing time at Wallace lane farm, we were greeted and shown to our pitch, nothing was too much bother and the facilities were fantastic. The bbq and drinks was a great touch to the weekend and to donate all money to charity was great too see!! Will be returning again.

First time taking our 3 & 5 year old camping. Loved the farm - plenty of space to run around and explore, plenty of animals to see, great facilities (shop, clean toilets & hot showers, washing machines & driers, fridge & freezer in laundry room, can hire fire pits for camp fires). Good location with Allonby beach 20mins away (recommend Codfather fish & chip shop), Caldbeck 5mins away (child friendly walk, several nice places to eat, lots of geocaching, duck pond). Great fun.

I was met with a lovely welcome by the owner (and her dog), she was understanding when I phoned to say I'd be a little later than planned and was very welcoming and friendly. Campsite was fairly quiet and the facilities was really good. If I'm down here again, I'll be sure to stay at this site again.

Was spacious; mix of caravans, motorhomes and chalets. It was peaceful and near the pretty village of Caldbeck. We had a lovely meal at the pub. Communication was good before our visit and we were greeted by friendly staff. Showers/ toilets were clean.

My partner and I have never done the whole campervan/camping thing before, so for our first experience, it really was very pleasant. The facilities are fantastic, I would love to come back and stay in one of the lodges as they looked incredible. The place was very easy to find and had everything you could need for a stay including electric hook up, WIFI, water hook up, fire pits, logs, clean facilities (including toilets and showers) and was very reasonably priced. Would recommend and would stay here again.

We didn't know what to expect when we booked this site to stay over with our motorhome but we were blown away with how beautiful the farm was. The grounds and facilities were so beautiful and well maintained. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. We have booked again to camp in July. Would highly recommend.

We booked for 3 nights on 12th February, but unfortunately due to the extreme bad weather we came home on the second day. The campsite was extremely clean and friendly, we were on pitch 17, right next to the toilet facilities and must say, we have stayed all over the country camping and the toilets were by far the cleanest and largest I have seen, felt like I was at home instead of being on a site outside! Really luxurious. Quite disappointed there wasn't any pubs in walking distance but saying that, the weather wasn't the best. Overall, in better weather we will definitely return and I do recommend this site, really is nice, so clean and well kept.
