A note from the site themselves...

East Crinnis Farm was originally established by my great granddad William Olford in the late 1800's. Prior, East Crinnis had been a thriving mining community with the 19th century being the peak of production from Tin and Copper.

During the 1920's, the farm expanded and gained productivity especially leading up to and during the Second World War.

During the second half of the 20th century, my grandfather, Roger Olford, farmed with the arrival of holidaymakers staying in the farmhouse. In 1989, Glyn and Betty (mum) started a small certified location campsite beginning with just five pitches.

Year after year they added to it and by 2005 they had built three log cabins. In 2010 I came back to run the site and now with my family, we are developing the site every year.

Following on from University, I travelled and worked in various hospitality environments from the USA to Holland, Austria and South America before returning to my beloved Cornwall and spending ten years as an operational manager at the Eden Project.

We run the site how we would like to holiday ourselves and we like to maintain a friendly, peaceful, safe, extremely clean site which respects the habitat and environment around it.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2024

Had a wonderful stay at the East Crinnis Holiday Park. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the facilities were always kept clean and tidy, especially the toilet & shower areas. The campsite is nicely set out, with bushes and hedges breaking up the areas and there was a nice area for dog walking. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Up to two dogs are welcome to join you on your stay, provided they are well behaved and kept on a lead whilst onsite. A two acre field is located above the pond area here and is ideal for dog walks, and it's just a short stroll onto the South West Coast Path and 25 minutes by foot to Spit Beach, the closest dog friendly beach.

Campfires are permitted on your pitch provided they are in a fire pit, metal fire basket, or chiminea, and prevent damage to the ground - BBQs are also welcome, as long as they are kept raised off the grass, and the site can supply bricks if required.

Youngsters can enjoy a runaround in the handcrafted play area here equipped with tower slide, climbing frames, swings, see-saws, and the sports area onsite is ideal for ball games. Challenge yourselves on the giant chessboard or take a walk and discover a range of secret trails here too - free fishing is also available (rod licence required) and you can also enjoy seasonal entertainment from live music to quizzes, with prizes to be won too.

One of Cornwall's most famous attractions, the Eden Project, is just a five minute drive from the site and well worth a visit to explore the tropical Rainforest Biome, while a short 20 minute stroll takes you to sandy Crinnis beach, and the South West Coast Path is a mere 15/20 minutes away. Wander through Charlestown's vibrant harbour and soak up the naval history at the town's Shipwreck Treasure Museum or admire the ships from a bygone era, used for many film/TV sets including Poldark. Other attractions nearby include: *The Lost Gardens of Heligan (9.4 miles), explore its outdoor jungle before a picnic on the Pleasure Grounds. *Tintagel Castle (29.4 miles), rich with Arthurian legend, this English Heritage Site overlooks Cornwall's breathtaking coastline.

Pup tents and gazebos are allowed for a small nightly charge. Sorry, awnings are not permitted.

During the summer holidays there are a range of activities onsite to keep children entertained! Every Tuesday there is magical storytelling around the campfire, there is live music every Wednesday for all of the family to enjoy, and Sunday is treasure hunt night!

The Shack also sells cooked breakfasts and evening takeaways during the school holidays so everything you need is catered for!

Also in the school holidays is Carlyon Beach's pop up bar and food which is just a 20 minute walk from site and offers some more activities. Or, you can take part in water sports at Polkerris Beach!

Beaches along the Cornish Coast are in easy reach and the unmissable coastal path is just 15-20 mins away. Plus you can nip to the harbour of Charlestown and watch the lazy bobbing of the boats.

One of the most famous attractions in the county, the Eden Project is only 40 minutes from your base, or an easy drive will also take you to the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

If you fancy exploring the coastline, the northern coastline is a handy 16 miles away or half hour away from the park.
