A lovely site with good sized pitches. The staff were all friendly, and the on-site bar was a great place to spend an evening. Even though we were parked very close to the play area, once it was dusk all children left, and the whole site was nice and quiet. Shower rooms were always clean, and the piped music was a bonus! Very dog friendly. Would certainly visit again. Thank you for a lovely break 😀

Great site and friendly staff. Toilets were clean and washing up area was large and clean. Climbing frame and bar were lovely additions. Our only criticisms would be the road noise being loud (expected from the location) and the food at Norfolk Nibbles wasn't great.

Really enjoyed the stay on a part gravel, part grass fully serviced pitch which was quite level and a real sun trap. Lovely people and very welcoming upon arrival. A nice small bar and outdoor area to relax. Only gripe to be had is some road noise from the traffic.

Nice and clean, nice stylish toilets. Shower was one where you had to keep pressing the button to restart. I get the need to save water but the timer on this was 3 seconds (I timed it) which is ridiculous. Nice bar, well lit areas. Having cars parked in front of pitches instead of at the side made it tricky when you came to leave. Constant road noise was awful but actual site noise was minimal. Some owners left their dogs in their caravan unattended with all windows closed on hottest day of year whilst they went to the pub. Dogs were clearly distressed, barking and crying. Security guy was great but wasn't able to contact the owners as the office was shut and he didn't have access to the contact details. Perhaps this can be addressed in future so security have access to owners contact details in case of emergency?
Site's response
It is very unfortunate that we did have one guest that was irresponsible, they left their dog in the caravan on a very hot day. We tried to make contact with the owner via their mobile number from 8.30 pm until 11 pm with no reply on the number. The guest returned from the pub (that is dog friendly) at 11pm, our site warden advised the guest that we were less than happy. We had tried to get the police to attend during this time and they advised they were not set up to deal with this. Whilst I accept your review I do feel we did everything in our power to try to assist the dog. Martin.

Good site staff very helpful. However, our holiday was spoilt by inconsiderate dog owners not keeping control of their animals, making a nuisance of themselves and others not following site rules. It is a shame.

Thank you for your review, had you made us aware of what was happening we would have gone and spoken with the people who were at fault. We do hope that this will not deter you from visiting us again. Thanks, Sharon.

Friendly staff. Good security. Tidy and clean. Convenient facilities. My recommendations - lights around the tent and sandy area of the site as it's pitch black and dangerous at nights. More bins and washing up room would be good near tent blocks (Sandy Acres) end as can be quite a walk and bags and wash bowl can be heavy and hard work to carry.

We only stayed for 4 nights out of 7. Unfortunately, the nearby A road was too noisy. We couldn't sleep. Everything else was good. Ben's Bar excellent and a good informative welcome. Just that road...

Had a wonderful stay at Pinecones. A friendly mix of caravans, motorhomes and tents. Well organised and attentive staff. Lovely bar/restaurant but only open short hours, hence my odd 4 stars. Very, very dog friendly and will return again. Road a little noisy depending on pitch. Excellent fully serviced pitch.

First time at Pinecones. Lovely, clean site. Food was value for money and tasted amazing. Great place to take a dog as bridlepath was right next to the site. The pitches were large and well lit at night. Would recommend to friends and family.

Enjoyed our stay, was welcomed with a smile when we arrived. Our only observation was not enough space for cars to park on the pitch and having to use roadside.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The site and facilities were really good but, unfortunately, it is next to Dersingham bypass - daytime means a lot of traffic and also some throughout the night which disturbed our sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful, giving lots of information to make our stay enjoyable, like printing suggested walks from the campsite.
Site's response
Thank you for your review, we are thrilled that you found our staff to be friendly, we do like to try and make sure everyone who visits has a nice stay. Thanks, Pinecones Team.

I managed to book for the wettest possible week, but the rain, high winds and thunder could not dampen this camping experience. The site is well laid out, with spotless toilet/shower facilities. I was with friends on the grass pitches, and the pitches were a good size. The staff we met were kind and helpful, Ben's Bar was a great place to hide from some of the more inclement weather, and the camp seemed to attract really friendly campers. The only niggle we had was that the pitch number markers are hard to spot from a car. And that was sorted by getting out and looking at the ground, and the handy map we got at check-in!

The facilities were good and the staff very pleasant. Well placed for Sandringham. Pitches well organised but not to our liking. Too regimented in rows and too much gravel everywhere. Not good for children falling over and dog paws. Felt hemmed in with a car park feel to it.
Thankfully the weather was great

First time at the site. The information given was first class and informative. The maps for the walks would benefit if there were distances rather than time.

Lots of great facilities, including friendly bar area which was a nice place to meet other guests, and a picnic hut on pitch was lovely to sit at to have food and play games in evening. Great onsite company "Norfolk Nibbles" did really lovely food which was good value and excellent quality. Site provided good information prior to and on arrival, including map to visit Sandringham only a walk away. Nearby road was busy so noise did detract from stay but realise this makes it a convenient site for larger motorhomes and caravans.
Site's response
Thank you for your review, Bens bar is a new addition to the site, it opened Good Friday this year and is proving very popular. Norfolk Nibbles do do lovely food, I will pass your compliments on to them. We do hope you will visit us again in the future. Many thanks, Pinecones Team.

Really lovely campsite. Clean, friendly staff, lovely size pitches. Newly built bar area and they serve food which smelt lovely. The noise from the A149 was loud especially at 6am. Unfortunately we were pitch number 2 on the site, so very close to the road, but I would still recommend.

Having stayed here a couple of times prior to Covid, it was nice to see the many improvements made during this time. The camping area along with the new bar and outside seating area was a great improvement, along with the additional lodges available.
A must try campsite

Really nice site. Lovely new bar/cinema, only downside was Monday/Tuesday when we were there it was closed at 3. Would come back but end of week. Easy self service check in if arrive later, so no need to rush, the toilets and showers felt really well thought out, so did the whole site. Though, not sure why, when there were empty plots, three caravans were next to each other, but sure that was thought out too.
Site's response
Thank you for your review, we are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us. Our new bar opened Good Friday 2024, we have found that Monday/Tuesdays and Thursdays it is very quite, so do not feel the need to have it opened. We are thrilled that you like our facilities and the lay out of the park. Where you find caravans next to each other and empty lots around them could mean that we have a group booking or visitors have selected a desired pitch if they have been with us before. We very much hope that you will visit us again in the near future. Thanks, Pinecones Team

Just returned home from 3 nights at Pinecones, this was our first visit. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The bar is a great addition so nice in the rain or sunshine. We are seasoned campers in our 20th year. We had quite a bit of rain and having spent other camping trips in the rain, the drainage on the field was brilliant. Never was it boggy or squashy underfoot, electric pitches great. The private bathrooms give a more luxurious feel than shared facilities on other sites. Pinecones is really well managed with all the rules set out and a quiet zone from 9pm, which I liked, not that it felt militant, just giving people a relaxing break. The walks from the site were really good we did a lovely walk to Sandringham and the pub, The Feathers, a lovely friendly place with a large beer garden. Thanks Pinecones. Also, I need to mention the fantastic onsite takeaway team, Norfolk Nibbles, who serve reasonably priced lovely food (especially the burgers and the family breakfast) - a really friendly team 😀
