Located between Leicester (30 minutes) and Birmingham (45 minutes), Stanton Lakes is an adult only site with lakeside pitches suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Watch the wildlife from your pitch or enjoy a drink and tapas on the waterside terrace by the Bar and Bistro. The peaceful site offers seasonal onsite open swimming in the lake, and for those wanting to stay on dry land, there are lots of local walks available. Dogs welcome too.

About the site
This peaceful, adult only site provides lakeside pitches with an onsite Bar and Bistro. Located just a 30 minute drive outside Leicester, it is an ideal spot for exploring what the midlands countryside has to offer whilst also being close to a city. The site has electric grass pitches suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Some have a lakeside view, others are set slightly further back and are slightly more sheltered. There are hardstanding pitches available in very wet weather or in the winter when the grass pitches are closed. There are seasonal opportunities for swimming and paddle boarding on the lake, or take in the wildlife from the waterside terrace whilst enjoying some food and drink. Dogs are welcome to join you on your stay. Please note that the water is not fenced off, so dogs should stay on leads at all times. Open fires, fire pits and wood burners are not permitted onsite. You can use a BBQ but they must be raised off the ground.

Electric hardstanding pitches suitable for heavy motorhomes, very wet weather and the winter season situated along the lakeside.

Site rules and policies
*Check in from 2pm - 6pm
*Check out by 12 midday on your day of departure
*No unauthorised swimming in the lake.
*No fires of any sort are allowed on site.
*BBQs are allowed but must be raised off the grass - no fire pits may be used.
*When / if the lake is frozen do not walk on it or allow dogs to do so.
*Only one car per pitch. There is plenty of space available in the car park for additional cars.
Things to do on site and in the Leicester area
The site offers seasonal open water swimming, taking place twice a week in the summer and for good swimmers, it is a great opportunity to try wild swimming in a safe environment. Guests who have their own paddle boarding equipment are also able to take to the water, and Hinckley Canoe Club use the lake every Thursday summer evening.
Take in all the nearby city of Leicester (25 minutes) has to offer. Look back at history with the King Richard III exhibition and the city cathedral, or watch a show at The Curve Theatre.
If you are looking to take in more of the local views and nature the Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve is a 30 minutes drive from site. You can take a walk around the reserve and then stop at the picnic area or tearoom for a bite to eat.
