Linwater is an award winning family run caravan park, situated on farmland close to Edinburgh. It offers pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, as well as self catering lodges and caravan holiday homes. Set by the Union Canal for fishing and beside a pretty country park. Open year round.

Absolutely loved staying here. From the moment we arrived at check out we could feel the friendliness. I stayed with my daughter and am looking for campsites that I can feel happy to stay in on my own with my dog. This will be one of my regular campsites. The facilities were so clean. I liked the fact there were private sink cubicles in the shower/toilet area. Nice friendly shop on site at reception so if you run out of essentials, it's there. A short drive away to a dog friendly gastro pub with amazing food. Close to park and ride for Edinburgh city was a bonus. I only stayed one night but will definitely be booking again. Sorry I didn't take any photos.

We've stayed before and really liked the site. The facilities are spotless. The shop is great and all the staff are so helpful. Its in a great location for Edinburgh. We drove to park and ride at Ingilston, which is free parking, and got tram in, was brilliant. There are sheep and chickens on site. We enjoyed seeing the chickens and their eggs are delicious . There's so much to do in the area, fantastic shopping, forth road bridges, Queensferry and beautiful Fife. We liked it so much we decided to stay for winter season.

Stayed one night staff member extremely helpful personally showing us to our stand and showing us where everything was. All areas were very very clean.
