Very nice location, we were on the top field and as described the sea view was beautiful. Spotless toilet and shower block. Amenities would have been good if they had been open. We stayed for 3 nights in June from Monday until Thursday and unfortunately, the fish and chip shop wasn't open on these nights, neither was the shop. We did manage to have a drink sitting outside the bar with our pooches. It was very quiet, but it didn't spoil our stay.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. Lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Just a couple of replies to your comments. The fish and chip shop is only weekends at this time of year. The shop was open daily during your visit for a few hours before the bar opening, there is also a sign on the shop door stating to ask in reception when closed. We hope to see you again.

Lovely stay, spacious corner pitch, dog loved it! Just come back from a few days away, 1st impressions were a lovely end/corner pitch, (please can we have that one again) close to the shower blocks. We arrived in the afternoon and it was clear blue sky but very windy. Our dog immediately found the off lead dog field and soon made himself at home, haha. Several more vehicles were now arriving and soon it seemed fully booked. The noise at night wasn't too bad, although we did wake several times to hear chatting still going on, but at least there was no music playing. We had some very nice fish and chips from the onsite chip shop, and the site shop seemed fully stocked. We had good weather on the Saturday and took the coastal path to Cayton for a mile and a half. On the Sunday, we went down the road to The Plough pub for a carvery. Now, the staff were very helpful and cleaning was obviously a priority as they never stopped cleaning the bar and the tables, but I won't say much about the food as people were leaving their plates half full and I've got to agree with other reviews that it was bland and the gravy left a greasy film in your mouth. Back to Crows Nest and yes I would recommend the site and hope to return.

A fairly late decision to drive north (from the south coast) to visit Bempton Cliffs left me searching for a relatively nearby campsite. This place is a jewel. Great service, very clean and large facilities and spectacular views. My only complaint is that the chip shop was not open midweek, but I get that off season.

This was our first time camping and putting a tent up. We had a really lovely time, and our grandson enjoyed the park and swimming pool. We all enjoyed the bar and the entertainment. Our grandson loved the disco and enjoyed making new friends. The site was great and kept clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful, so we would like to say thanks for making our first trip so good. Shame we had to pack up in the rain. We will definitely be back.
A really friendly site

A well thought about site with a good layout, friendly helpful staff, spotless and very well maintained. Club, pool, chippy shop - everything lovely. Even the shop staff were helpful and lovely, thank you. A really friendly site. Everything spotless and well thought about for our comfort. Brilliant.

Lovely site with everything you need, lovely views and walk straight from the rear of the site. Shop was only open twice while we was there and bar twice but other than that perfect.

Great stay for 2 nights. It's early in the season so the pub was only open Friday and Saturday. Chip shop was open Friday and Saturday too, but well worth the visit. Toilets were warm and very clean, electric showers can be touch and go...
Good, quiet site

Well placed site, especially if you have a motorhome that you don't want to move once parked up. Very clean shower/toilet facilities.

Touring pitch (upper no 1) had awkward access, the pitch was small and very far out of level (particularly side to side). The surrounding ground was very muddy, which I realise was caused by the constant rain. However, if the pitch was wider, this wouldn't have been an issue. The site had decent facilities but I get the impression that touring pitches weren't well thought out.

We had a lovely stay here. Quiet on arrival and busy during the Easter weekend! Facilities seemed clean. Would have liked a bit of heating and lighting in the conservatory area but otherwise very good! Had a blast in the pool!

We had a great stay, location is lovely and very scenic. Toilets and showers were extremely clean and very well maintained. In fact, the whole park was well maintained. A lovely, quiet & peaceful stay.

Lovely, friendly campsite, just a short walk to the picturesque cliffs that overlook the sea. Well-stocked shop, easy check-in. Would definitely visit again.

On arrival, we got to choose where we would like to pitch our tent, which we chose right next to the cliff side, we saw some beautiful views and sunsets from there. There are some really nice walking routes and beaches not far from the campsite. Wouldn't recommend going to the swimming pool as an adult if you want to have a chilled swim, it is more suited for children. The bathroom/toilet areas are not so clean.

The site is really equipped with great facilities for families with younger kids and those with a family dog. A dedicated dog park allowed us to exercise our 3 month old puppy without annoying other campers. The campsite has an incredible fish n chips shop, the fish especially is great! Not your usual greasy batter but fresh and crisp. The site is less than 1.5 miles from a massive beach that isn’t flooded with the Scarborough crowds. Dogs are also allowed on the Cayton beach without a lead.

Very nice view from the campsite, had a lot of fun with the kids in the pool and at night with some good music and magic tricks at the pub. Fish and chip shop at the campsite and close to Filey or Cayton Bay beach. Highly recommend.

We didn't really get to experience much of the park as we had to leave after one night of our 4 night stay due to family bereavement. Was so looking forward to this break and from arriving with a very easy check in, to the location, it looked absolutely perfect for us. We will definitely return at some point.

Lovely site, excellent pitches. All the staff are lovely too, couldn't fault it. Lovely views too. The cleanliness in general was great. However, I've had to take some stars off, as when the camping field at the bottom was full, the toilets and the showers were disgusting. Otherwise, it would have been perfect.

A wonderful campsite. Great views from the top field which was on top of the cliffs and easy access to the Cleveland way footpath. The shower toilet block was kept clean and well stocked. The bar and social club were friendly. The shop was great. We didn't need to use the launderette or the swimming pool but it was good to know that they were there. Dogs were all kept on leads and the site was very clean. All in all we had a fabulous few days camping. The only thing we missed was a café/restaurant for meals so ended up driving to Morrisons for breakfast.

Great park, clean showers and facilities, washroom and laundry room. The site was a bit crowded with tents, so there wasn't much room in between us and our neighbours - but this didn't take the shine off. Would definitely recommend.
