An absolute gem of a campsite. Very well priced at £15 for electric hook up, showers and toilets, which were very clean. Would recommend without hesitation. All run by volunteers and an easy walk to the town pub. Thank you for a really good stay, despite the rain, we loved it.
So good, we stayed an extra night!

What a wee gem of a find. Roomy pitches in great condition. We had a 240v power on our first night and was absolutely no problem to move to another pitch. Toilet and shower block was fine. A really hot, powerful shower, if just a wee bit cramped, but we're told it's due for a revamp over the winter. Great location, just a 10min walk into Langholm, where there's everything you'd need for a short break.

Just returned home after a 3 night stay. The site is run by volunteers from the rugby club and is a credit to them. The pitches are well maintained and the grass kept short, you can tell they take pride in the campsite. We received a text the day before allocating our pitch number and giving us lots of information so we didn't have to hang about when we got there, we could go straight to our pitch and set up. The warden came to say hello later in the day and collect our fee, a really nice chap who gave us lots of local information. The toilets and showers, although a bit dated, were spotlessly clean and always had plenty of hot water. We did some nice walks from the site, it's a great location to explore from. The village is only 10 mins walk if you need supplies (Londis and Co-op) and there's a nice café just outside the site entrance with home cooked food at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back, we couldn't fault it

What a lovely site! Nice, level pitches. Very well maintained. Toilet and shower block very clean. Excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back. Five stars all round from us (our dog loved it too).
Very good. Would stay there again.

Very good for the price per night. Would stay there again. Booking system works well. Text sent before arrival tells you all you need to know. Plenty of space to exercise and walk the dog (around the perimeters of the rugby pitches). Not far to walk into town. A short stretch along the A7 but pavement all the way. Some nice touches like wildflower beds planted around the site so it feels like a dedicated site and separated from the rugby side of the grounds.

Beautiful location and very well maintained. Only downfall is the very outdated ablutions block which is going to refurbished in the winter ready for the next season.

We own a teardrop and we have been staying quite local while ironing out some teething problems. This site was such a good find and we are so glad we stayed here. The site is small but the facilities are great. Fresh water, chemical toilet disposal, clean toilets and lovely powerful showers! Langholm itself is within walking distance so not far for essentials if you need them. Dog friendly which was a big plus for us with a nearly 6 month old Labrador. We will definitely be recommending to friends and will no doubt be back again, thank you for having us.

Ewes Water Campsite was a nice friendly site, we used it as a short stopover for couple of nights. Had a nice walk up to the monument on the hill and there is a nice café just outside of the campsite.

Basic toilet facilities but does not detract from a well-kept little site. Will definitely use again.

Just had a great three night stay here and it was perfect for us. We requested two pitches together as we were with family and we couldn't have been given a better spot. Plenty of space and the way we set up made it nice and private. All the staff were really friendly and it was a great price. I was told the showers are being updated in the very near future and although they probably do need updating, they were fine, did the job and were clean. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Would definitely go back to this site. Only one point to note, beware the wasps nests on the river side. My niece stood on one and was stung twice with a wasp still in her clothes. On looking, there were a couple of nests we could see.

I arrived a week early - my mistake - and phoned the owner. Luckily, there was space! My van has no toilet so it was a bit of a walk to the toilet block. However, the facilities are well set up and maintained. My only issue was that I had to post the fees through the office letterbox. This is a great base for walking into Langholm or further afield. There's an excellent café nearby and the Co-op is a mile away. A peaceful spot.
Stopover on the way to the Lake District

We've hired a Motorhome for the week to see if it's something we would like to do more of in the future. We booked Ewes Water campsite as our first stop on the way to the Lake District. When we arrived we had a slight problem due to inconsiderate parking! We contacted the on-site attendant and within minutes the problem was sorted. The site itself was spotless as were the toilets and shower blocks. The cleaner was busy cleaning the toilets/showers as we were leaving and the facilities were gleaming. Everyone on-site were very friendly. Although the site was quite busy, everyone was respectful of others and there was hardly a sound during our stay. The village of Langholm is a 10-15 minute walk away with plenty of shops, pubs etc. As our first stop of our first Motorhome experience, we were very pleased we chose this site and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to visit the area.

This is a site with basic but very well-presented and maintained facilities. All the facilities were easy to find and use. The staff (who are all volunteers) were friendly and very helpful. Well located for touring the Borders and eastern end of the Solway Firth. Pitches were well spaced and easy to access. All this at a bargain price. We even got to see a game of rugby and enjoy a few beers in the rugby club! Highly recommended and we will happily visit the site again.

Fabulous week staying at Ewes Water. Nothing was any trouble and on the occasions we needed help with the anything, someone was at hand. Lovely meeting all the friendly people on site. Facilities are dated, but always kept clean and was informed they are all being turned into spanking new facilities for next year. I definitely recommend the site and lots of beautiful places to visit around the area.

We had a fantastic stay at Ewes Water (despite the weather!). The facilities were great and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We are big rugby fans, so being able to stay and take in a rugby match whilst there was fab. We will definitely be back some time in the future.

We had been invited to a wedding being held in Langholm and were fortunate to stumble on this site. 15 minutes walk with footpath into town, great hardstanding pitch with everything you would need. Run by volunteers at the rugby club, the toilet/shower block was a short walk from the site centre, spacious plots and great value for money, including EHU. Apart from the midges, which can't be controlled, the only improvement that could be done would be to the shower cubicles. There were two available in the female area; the first didn't lock and the second only had one hanging hook on the back of the door which was a challenge when trying to keep clothes and towels dry. There wasn't enough room for a shelf but that would certainly help to keep wash bags off the floor. The shower itself was powerful and clean. If we are visiting the area again, we will definitely stay.
Brilliant site!

This site is gorgeous! Small, friendly, very clean and in a beautiful location. We loved it here, next time we will stay the duration of our holiday! My two grandkids aged 13 and 16 loved it here. The village is beautiful, very peaceful. Our verdict on this site is 'YES!'

First time on site, very easy to find. The layout was good, the shower block could do with updating but did the job. Overall very nice stay and great value for money, surrounding walks👍

We used this site as a stop over. We were texted our pitch number with contact details if there were any issues - there weren't any. Note, this is a rugby club so facilities are small and aging, but kept clean and in good working order. Showers are hot. The toilets do not run out of paper. The toilet and shower block is heated and windows are opened for fresh air. Washing up sinks are also clean. The site is quiet and small. It was perfect for what we needed. We would use again as a stop over.
