About Midshires Way Campsite and Alpaca Farm
Based on an alpaca farm by the Midshires Way, this tranquil adult only site is a lovely spot for enjoying the countryside whilst being just 25 minutes from Nottingham. There are five grass pitches and five hardstanding pitches with additional lawns alongside, suitable for tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. All take up to four people and include 16 amp EHU, fresh water taps and waste disposal points. For anyone looking for something a little extra glam, choose one of the five glamping lodges for a maximum of two people. Each one has a spacious living area complete with a comfy corner sofa, kitchenette, breakfast bar and fold up counter dining table. The kitchenette has an oven, fridge, hob, kettle, microwave, crockery and all utensils. The lodges also have the added luxury of underfloor heating. If you go through the lounge, you'll find a separate bedroom, complete with a double bed with all bedding and linen provided. Just off this is an ensuite, with a shower, toilet and wash basin. Outside you'll have your own shingle patio with seating, a fire pit and a BBQ, perfect for al fresco dining on those warmer evenings. Previous winners of Four in a Bed, this is a great countryside retreat for adults looking to escape busy everyday life. Dogs are welcome on the camping and touring pitches only, but are only to be let off the lead in the designated dog exercise area. Fire pits and BBQs are allowed but please keep them raised up off the ground.

Site rules and policies
Check in for camping and touring is from 1pm and glamping is 3pm.
Check out for camping and touring is 12pm and glamping is 10am.
Two dogs are allowed per pitch, but please keep them on the lead. No dogs in the lodges.
Things to do on site and in the East Leake area
Hop aboard the steam-powered Great Central Railway just a 15 minute drive away. If you just fancy a peak at the steam engine meandering its way through the countryside, venture along to East Leake and watch the trains puffing away.
Visit stunning heritage sites such as Calke Abbey, a National Trust country house with incredible architecture just 30 minutes away. Just 40 minutes away is Belvoir Castle, with stunning formal gardens perfect for an afternoon stroll.
