A warm welcome was offered, a choice of pitches on this small, friendly and perfectly-formed campsite. Having completed our set up, we wandered over to the harbour and sat in the sun looking out over the water, what a great beginning to a weekend. The site was small, quiet and friendly, some lovely conversations with fellow travellers, we lent cushions to campers who forgot their pillows and were grateful for something to rest their heads upon. Hamble-le-Rice was a gentle 15 minute walk away, where there are plenty of locations to find food and refreshments. We look forward to returning here as a couple very soon.

We were a party of 10 split over two tents and one VW campervan over three pitches. Lovely location, well kept - the toilet and shower areas were outstanding!
Site's response
Thanks Amanda: we're delighted to hear that you thought the facilities were outstanding!

Lovely clean showers nice and big individual ones with a sink. Each toilet also has a sink in each one. Nice big utility room with big sinks. Washing machines and dryers, iron and board. Small fee needed. Campsite is ideal as a base! There is a restaurant/bar which can be accessed from site. Very quiet site with nothing to do for kids so it's best for couples wanting a quiet chill and relaxing time or just a base for trips out! Really nice and clean and I would recommend it. We went on the Hamble ferry for a boat trip for the young-uns. Only takes about 15 minutes and is £2.50 adults £2 child each way (cash only!). Not much in the other side, so we just walked into the village then came back to get the ferry back. We did enjoy the boat ride though and it's a novel thing to do with the kids. There is a café there but the service was so very slow we gave up waiting in the queue! To get to it driving, turn left out of the campsite drive down the road about 5 minutes and you will see the sign for the Hamble ferry (roads are very tight but we managed it). If you walk it takes 15 minutes.

Just returned from a really enjoyable stay - the showers probably need a bit of maintenance as the water didn't drain away but otherwise, everything perfect! We will visit again I'm sure.

Never been before, but will definitely go back. Beautiful laid out site with plenty of room between units. Even the ground is even 👍. Taken to pitch and had a choice of location, very helpful staff, toilet and showers were individual and immaculate. Very quiet and no ball games was a bonus.

Fabulous place to stay, close to Southampton and all it has to offer. Touring park fivr minutes walk to the marina. Gaff Rigger restaurant serving fabulous food and drinks overlooking the marina. Mercury holiday Park is spotlessly clean and staff friendly. Pitches are a good size, quiet site but dog and families welcome. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely stay and will be back!

Lovely little site so convenient for Hamble marina (our son was sailing in Cowes week on a boat out of Hamble). Very convenient placing of all pitches around the central facilities. Best wash up area we've found. Laundry on site too worked well. All grass pitches with 16v electric. Good for dogs with walks on site and nearby. We will definitely return and would highly recommend.

This is the cleanest and most well-run site I've ever visited. Individual toilets and individual shower rooms, all kept immaculately clean. Well situated with a bar/restaurant only a minute's walk away, and 15 minutes' walk to the pretty village of Hamble. Site managers were hands on and kept everything well managed. I will definitely book again. The only problem I had was I sprained my ankle on a hole/groove in the grass pitch caused by the tyres of a previous vehicle. Very painful! In fairness to the management, it couldn't be seen because the grass covered it and they were grateful when I told them about it. Apart from that, it was perfect and didn't put me off this wonderful site. Many thanks!

Well maintained, level site with a good restaurant next door, but no play area for kids. The site is at the end of a no through road and shares a boundary with the marina car park, so traffic noise is minimal. All the caravan pitches are level and well spaced. The toilets and showers are newish and maintained to a very high standard, as are the dish washing facilities and there's a convenient dog walk along the river. We had a very friendly welcome and the manager was very helpful throughout our stay. The only amenity that's missing is a children's play area and ball games on the site are strictly forbidden - something for family campers to bear in mind. The Gaff Rigger restaurant is on the other side of the marina car park and has a full menu which is good value. Dogs are not allowed inside but there are outside tables under a canopy.

The entire site is very clean and the pitches are not too small. Unfortunately, the neighbouring restaurant spoils the overall impression, but that cannot be blamed on the campsite.
Nice, clean campsite

Clean campsite, staff with humor! It's a pity that dogs are not allowed in the associated restaurant. Now off to Hamble village for dinner, it would have been a turnover of 7 evenings after all. (Translated from Dutch).

We had an excellent 2 night stay and we will be back for longer next time. Your chap at check in who showed us the pitch (Didn't catch his name) was brilliant and funny. Very pleasant as well as having a sense of humour. Excellent site and view was fabulous looking down the Hamble River from the restaurant/bar. Pitch was nice and level with electric hook-up, we had a corner pitch which was very quiet and private. Absolutely no complaints with regards to all facilities, all very clean. We will be back but next time it will be for longer. Lovely area with lots of pubs close to hand.

Nice site in a good location. The facilities were clean and functional but some of the doors and locks could do with an update. The Gaff Rigger restaurant was good and very friendly, but somewhat on the expensive side. There's not a lot on site for kids, but it would probably be okay for younger kids.

A real gem of a site with friendly, informative and professional staff (nothing was too much) and modern, spotlessly clean facilities. Eateries within easy walking distance, supermarket a short drive. Grass pitches. The whole site is beautifully maintained. Very recommended, we will be back!

Pleasant stay. Very quiet site, Clean facilities. Staff welcoming and friendly. The only thing that could have been better is the weather, and you can't do much about that 😉

Great to walk into Hamble and lots of lovely pubs with great food. Little ferry to other side £2.50 each way cash only. Not too far to walk to Hamble Station, but walk is on road. Easy to get to Portsmouth or Southampton by train. Can use sailing club bar and restaurant on site, not cheap, but nice setting to sit out at night.
