Me and my friend stay here for two nights. We absolutely loved the hike along the coast. We camped facing sea view and was so amazing to wake up to view. Would highly recommend.

A lovely stay with clean facilities. The welcome could have been better and friendlier but other than that, a nice place in a great location.

Hi. We are glad you enjoyed our fantastic location and views. We reminded you on arrival that fires and burning or wood was not permitted. Sorry if the reminder about the rules that we don't allow fires may have appeared rude.

We originally booked on a 'Whim' as we couldn't get our usual location and can safely say, we will definitely be returning. We were a little concerned after we read about all the rules and previous experiences occupants have had, but it created the perfect environment for our family, and would certainly put most of these bad reviews as individuals believing they are entitled more than others - and yes, I experienced these individuals questioning the rules. If you don't want to follow them, don't book at this site. The kids play park could do with a revamp, but with the option of nice walks and sea dips, you can certainly burn kids' energy off easily. Locally, shops are not too far of a drive away to collect your basics. If the area is experiencing high winds, ensure you have decent pegs to anchor your tent. Overall, if you want a relaxed evening, with loads of beautiful scenery, this is most certainly one of the best I've been too.

The positives are that the site has the most spectacular views of the coastline and the facilities are immaculate. Unfortunately, the customer service isn't what it should be. We found the receptionist unfriendly. Whilst we appreciated the peace and quiet, it did feel a little oppressive with so many rules to follow. In summary, this site has amazing potential with some customer service training.
Site's response
Thank you for your comments. As you were advised at the time, you had parked your van incorrectly and so were not ensuring an adequate gap between units. This is explained in the information all our guests are provided with on arrival. Apologies if asking you to the right thing was the wrong thing for us to do in your view, but those are the rules under which we and other licensed camping parks are required to operate.

Beautiful view of the sea, that's about all that's good. I found the receptionist to be rude, toilets and shower facilities extremely outdated and unclean. There was a couple who stayed near us, they asked to move due to extreme winds and wanting to protect their tent. However, were told that the site was full, it was near on empty while we were there. We booked for four nights but left after one. A lot of rules on the site which I feels takes the fun out of camping.
Site's response
Our park rules clearly stipulate that dogs are only accepted if kept on a lead at all times. For both our customer enjoyment and safety, and for our farm animals and staff. Being reminded of the rules should not be interpreted as our staff being rude. We welcome responsible dog owners.

The place was wild, clean and tidy. Nice bathroom with modern and spacious showers. Laundrette and sinks for dish washing. Not overcrowded and lots of space between tents or caravans which we loved. Only a small shop on site, the lady was a bit dry and not particularly friendly. 12 min only by car from the Isle of Portland.

The location is great, with superb views and amazing sunsets. The facilities were good and clean. The campsite was fairly quiet, so we weren't sure why we had to be pitched 3 tents right next to each other when there was ample room to have an empty space between each tent pitch. The only other negative was that there was very little welcome when we arrived, with no chat and nothing to explain that we could use some of the facilities of the sister campsite down the road etc. it didn't feel particularly friendly and welcoming.
Site's response
Thank you. Our pitches with a view are very popular, and these get booked up. We had other pitches available and would have been happy to move your booking to another pitch if you had requested.
Lovely, would come again

Lovely, peaceful location with great views. Easy to visit attractions from the site, and the site itself has a nice play area for children. The facilities are excellent and spotless. Will definitely be back.

Nice site and location. The toilets and showers were clean. The few staff we met were friendly. The actual pitch was a little small compared to other campsites. We booked for a medium sized tent and paid the surcharge to take our gazebo and only just fitted within the pitch lines. Like the rest of the site, the field that we were in was less than half full during our stay but we were allocated a pitch right next to another tent, rather than spacing everyone out, which was a shame.
A very clean and tidy site

My only criticism is that having paid extra for a sea view I only got a view of a hedge.

Peaceful campsite with large pitches. We paid the extra £5 per night for a sea view pitch which was totally worth it. Not far from Weymouth beach and a short drive to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Showers and toilet facilities were always clean in the newer block, didn't use the older block. Only downside was the on site shop, the lady wasn't welcoming and I felt she came across quite rude. Opening hours were 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon, so we had to make sure to stop at a local shop for anything we needed before returning to the campsite.

Lovely, peaceful campsite in a beautiful location overlooking Chesil Beach. Beautiful walks along the South West Coast Path direct from the campsite. There were two other campers in the large sea view field and all three of us were put together. It was a pity we couldn't choose where to pitch, particularly as the site was so empty. The signs were strict telling us to pitch in our reserved spot, there was no one around to ask. Pleasant stay nonetheless, thanks.
Site's response
Hi, we did allocate pitches so there was no one adjacent to you. We did allocate you a pitch with your requested sunset view, as was also requested by others. Sorry, we cannot offer exclusive use of the park when paying the usual nightly fee for one unit.

We stayed 6 nights on Sea Barn Farm Camping near Weymouth. The location is great, and so are the facilities. The only downside, if I may say so, is that the hospitality can be improved. The opening hours of the stop are also rather limited. Apart from that, a great campsite.
Site's response
Our shop is open for a couple of hours each morning and afternoon only due to high costs. The shop on the neighbouring park is open 9 - 5 daily in school holidays and is just 10 mins walk. We are only 5 mins drive from the village shops.

We stayed for 5 nights in July, paid extra for a pitch with a view, did not disappoint. Facilities were clean and nice, shop on site only open for 2 hours a day, but may change during peak season. One walking route as not able to walk on certain parts of land as these are private property. Couldn't fault the place to be honest, only that we encountered a few very windy nights and that broke out tent, but that's not a reflection of the site itself. Would happily return.

Thank you. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay.

The pitch is quiet with a wonderful view of the sea. We miss the demarcation of individual places by hedges or trees. What irritated us: the many prohibitions, for example no groups, not even two families, and the strict ban on receiving visitors. The place didn't feel as friendly to us as England does to tourists.
Site's response
Thank you for your rating and comments. We're pleased you enjoyed your stay. Many camping parks in this part of the UK do not split individual pitches with fences or hedges, especially those in more rural settings such as ours. Not only does this make maintaining the camping area less costly and easier, but it also helps to maintain a more natural environment and feel in what is a beautiful piece of countryside. Like many other camping and caravan parks we do not allow groups, and this is clearly stated on our website and elsewhere. We do accept up to two pitches or families under very specific terms and conditions. We have found that this helps to enhance and protect the enjoyment of all our guests in this peaceful and most beautiful part of the English Countryside. For the same reason, we do not allow guests to invite additional visitors onto our premises. Like many other businesses, we restrict access to those people and vehicles named and registered at the time of booking.

This is a beautiful site in a great location. Lovely walk down to Fleet Lagoon where you can pick up the South West Coast path. Toilets and showers were immaculate and plenty of them. Don't be too put off by the rambling, repetitive rules listed in the confirmation email. It's actually quite a laid back vibe! These could do with a rewrite with a friendlier tone I believe. Pitches are arranged in mini fields surrounded by dry stone walls so feel quite secluded. The site was not that busy for my visit as it's not yet school holidays. It felt very safe (I'm a single female camping alone) and was very peaceful. The shop has loads of camping equipment essentials and is handy if you forget anything. It was only open for a couple of hours morning and afternoon during my visit. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The strict no groups rule seems a bit of a shame but I believe it may be negotiable on a case by case basis. I would definitely return here I've had a lovely peaceful few days also helped by the weather. Locally you can easily walk down to the little Fleet church and the original Chapel nearby which are open to visitors. I also visited Abbotsbury and spent some time at the Swannery. Short drive to Weymouth. Watch out for the seagulls at campsite, they are quite bold. One pinched a packet of crisps from me and flew off with them!
Disapointing

Park is kept immaculately and the facilities are very clean and excellent condition. We were put in a field with 8 others when other areas were empty. Looked like a housing estate in my home town! Tents and campervans were mixed. The guy on a nearby pitch turned up at 10:10 pm and proceeded to setup (woke my wife and I up). At 1:45am, we were woken up by a toddler in a tent screaming and proceeded to do so until approx 3am. No one to speak to after hours - no phone number on any of the 100 or so notices around the campsite telling you what you can and cant do (in addition to the 4 page leaflet you get on check in!). Shop shuts at 4pm (that's handy!) the guy I asked for information on what the latest we could return to site didn't speak English. This is a very good site. It has the views and the location. For me, what it doesn't have is that extra 5 star touch to make it worth paying premium money.
Site's response
Thank you for your star rating and comments, although we would disagree with several aspects of the latter. You arrived with us at around 4 pm and then left again at 5 pm and did not return until after 7 pm. All other arrivals to the park were on site and set up before 7 pm and no one on the pitches in the immediate vicinity of your own arrived after 4 pm. Those around you were mostly in campervans, with just two tents in that area. The area of the park in which you were located is one which many of our guests specifically request because of the scenic outlook over the coast and countryside and that is why we put you there. Other pitches were available and had any request been made to relocate to another part of the park, we could have accommodated that. Contact telephone numbers are listed in all booking information sent to customers prior to their arrival, on the leaflets provided to all guest on arrival; on the shop door, as well as on the pitch tickets which guests are required to display on their tent or campervan. With this in mind, we are a little surprised that you were unable to make contact. We are sorry if your were disturbed by the crying of a very young child, however, we are not an adult only destination, but a family camping park. Young children and babies do sometimes cry and that is something outside of our control or the control of the child's parents. No doubt they will have been just as frustrated as you, perhaps more so. Our sympathies to you, them, but especially the little child concerned.
Impressed!

A lovely spacious campsite with lots to do nearby. This was our first camping trip as a family, 2 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs. We couldn't have picked a better campsite to start our adventure into the camping world. The site is immaculate. I didn't see one bit of litter the entire time we were there. The facilities are immaculate. Plenty of toilets, showers and sinks that are open 24hrs. They also have a dedicated area to clean dishes, which again had plenty of space. Free drinking water on site was a pleasant surprise (Not sure if this is a regular thing at campsites) We didn't use the small shop at all, but when checking in, could see it had the usual bits and bobs you'd expect at a campsite. Everyone is very respectful of the rules which ensures the site remains clean, peaceful and safe. The children's play area was perfectly situated behind some trees away from the main camping area but with a stunning view to sit and look out at when the kids were playing. Overall, this was a great experience for first time campers, lots to do in the surrounding areas and good access in and out of the site.
Great all round

Location was good, local shop is a little too far to walk but easily accessible by car. There is a shop onsite for convenience but it didn't have everything we needed at the time. Staff in the shop were friendly. Facilities were a little run down but as toilet/shower blocks go on a campsite, they were clean. We had a field to ourselves as we arrived off season, which was a lovely surprise, so it was perfectly quiet. Lots of wildlife around and perfect sunset views!
