Well kept campsite, immaculate shower block and right by the Tarka Trail. Short walk to Instow beach, which is dog friendly, but the advice is not to go swimming due to poor water quality.
Lovely camping spot!

Lovely camping spot, right on the trail. Clean toilets and showers. Plenty of room per pitch which is a life saver. Very pleased with my stay. Thank you very much!

This is a lovely, small site with new toilet block. The couple who run the site keep very well and the toilet block was spotlessly clean.

A lovely and peaceful campsite with really good and clean facilities. A great starting point for Hartland and Exmoor and perfect for cycling fans. And let's not forget the Brewery next door - an absolute treasure 😁

Good size motorhome pitches with gravel wheel tracks for parking. New washroom facilities which were clean. We loved the brewery on site, really quirky & we got to meet other lovely people who were staying on site. The pizzas looked amazing. Would highly recommend this site.

Well planned and executed flat field site with hard wheel-runs on grass pitches. But very exposed to this week's high winds. Facilities new & spotless but may be a bit crowded if the site was full and the showers need somewhere to put toiletries. Also, I feel they need somewhere to fill motorhome water tanks, could probably run on to the grass next to the only obvious tap, but it would soon get messy if everyone did it. Did not try the adjacent café/restaurant/brewery but it did look a bit jaded during our wet and windy stay. That said, a local we spoke to recommended it.
Lovely and quiet!

We spent 2 nights here. The site is lovely and quiet. The showers and toilets are brand new! There is a Tap Room open in the evening! We would recommend the beer and pizza, both reasonably priced. The site is located right alongside the Tarka Trail, great for a walk or bike ride.
Nice, quiet site with a good basic set up

Great place to stay, it could do with an area where dogs could be off lead. Shower and toilet facilities are really clean and of a really high standard.
Nice, quiet location

We found this campsite significantly exceeded our expectations. It's adjacent to the Tarka trail so no diversion for cyclists. There is a brand new very warm and top-quality shower and toilet block. There were some free USB charging points here too. However, some pitches include a caravan hook up if you want more electric. Overall this is an excellent site. There's even a small brewery on site, but has limited opening hours.

It was a lovely small site, right next to the Tarka trail. The toilet and shower block was brand new, a full size mirror and additional hand driers are needed in the ladies block. There’s an on site bar, brewery and cafe, open in the evening. We didn’t use it as there for only one evening but looked nice. I didn’t see any bins/ recycling point but again only there a short time. No one in reception at all but everything worked so no problems.

Fab site still under development, great for bikers, walkers and dogs. A new shower and toilet block, a micro brewery and café on site! Shops, cafes, restaurants, beaches all close by- if you want to chill and relax, this is the place to be.

Brilliant. Lovely hosts and the site is metres away from the Tarka Trail. Quiet, but with everything you need. Excellent brewery on site as well serving Yelland Manor Ale. Superb.

Wonderful, big field has a really peaceful feel to it. Very much at home among the tents, big and small, and some campervans too. A very well organised site, with clean facilities and new buildings promised for next year! An exciting place to visit Westward-Ho! And other North Devon towns and villages. Showers were lush- good water temperature and pressure, surprisingly enough for an outdoor shower block.

An absolute gem of a campsite! Peaceful and calm with spectacular views! The only sounds are the local wildlife! Excellent, clean facilities and a quirky eatery with fabulous pizza and home brewed beer! We loved our stay here and highly recommend it to others!

Site was great, loved it, right next to the Tarka Trail so perfect for cyclists to get to all the fantastic places in this area. My only negative comment would be that the ladies facilities are poor (partly in a very small garden shed) and that the toilet waste disposal is right outside the shower units, with no screening. On the whole though it's a great spot for a camping and cycling holiday.

Lovely campsite in a superb location for exploring North Devon and the Tarka Trail. The microbrewery next door is great fun and we loved being just 10 minutes away from Instow on our bikes. Our only suggestion would be a little bit of stuff for kids, like a rope swing or some wild climbing.

Fantastic location. There is a micro brewery on site but only opens when the owner wants and does just one type of bitter, but he also does a fantastic pizza. I am not a great fan of pizza but thought I would give it a go and did not regret it! So worth a visit if you can catch him. Opens normally about 7pm.

Good pitch and easy booking. Could do with a couple more toilets and showers when the site is busy.

We stayed here for the weekend great location. Nice walk into Instow along the Tarka trail. Would recommend stopping at the Sandbanks café on route. We also went to the micro brewery - very different but worth a visit. Facilities were ok and the showers needed airing. Gents toilets were ok. Two female toilets - one in a portable cabin and the other in a shed. Please be aware that you need to take your rubbish and recycling home with you as there is limited waste disposal.

Lovely location, not a lot of services

The location with easy access to the Tarka Trail was lovely. Though the services are limited and if all 20+ pitches were occupied, it could be an issue. There is only one ladies toilet cubicle, but there are two male cubicles and two urinals. There were also 4 shower stalls, all of which were nice and clean. There was no one at the site, only a text asking you to call to get your pitch number. At £30/night for a two person tent and no electricity, it did feel a bit expensive.
