Great campsite for anyone but especially with children of all ages. Lots of great walks straight from the site.

We have stayed here previously about 10yrs ago. This is a lovely campsite with several fields. The facilities are great (shower blocks, toilets, pot washing, shop, games room and barn area to escape the elements). They had several food outlets (hog roast, pizza and coffee shack) and a cocktail bar for the bank holiday weekend. There was lots of activities and entertainment going on for kids. Two pubs within a short walking distance. Fields around to walk dogs. We was woken early with the cows mooing but didn’t bother us in the slightest as better than a beeping alarm clock. Short drive to Matlock or Buxton and plenty of walks around the area. We will definitely be back and won’t leave it so long next time.

First time here in the caravan, been a few times in a tent. The staff worked so hard, went above and beyond in ensuring people who had booked were put together, moving chairs and tables inside for the weather. The site was really busy with it being Bank Holiday but the facilities were always clean and fully stocked. Really well organised weekend and great fun had by us all!

Spotlessly clean campsite, well-priced products, great for families. Enjoyable stay. I think maybe a pull-in on the drive whilst you check in would help with the congestion in the reception area. Other than that 10/10.

Had my first solo camping adventure! All the facilities were fairly clean when I arrived. Great price, live music and a bar, plenty of food wagons, bouncy castles and a party bus for the kids due to it being a bank holiday, though the live music ended at 10:30pm which was a good time for a decent night sleep. It's slightly windy due to the forecast and open location. The site itself is between Matlock and Bakewell with plenty of walks in the area too. Birchover has 2 local pubs both within a 10 minute walk and isn't too far from a nice walk near the 9 ladies stone circle.

Amazing site, great facilities and staff take care of everything throughout the day/night. Great entertainment for the bank holiday weekend, shame the weather tried to spoil it but again, the staff solved the problem and moved the entertainment indoors. Our 4th time coming and will definitely be back again.

Great campsite - liked the fact you could pitch where you wanted - we were on a hill but that's all part of it. We had a very wet and windy night so great drying facilities. Also great to have the picnic benches under cover to have breakfast whilst too wet to sit outside. Loved the homemade pizza van which came on the Friday night and the Butty Box for a bacon cutty Saturday morning! Lots of space for kids to run and play - nice play ground area but as only small got quite busy.
Great campsite!

We had a lovely stay at Barn Farm Campsite. This was the first time our son (and Labrador) had ever slept in a tent and both loved the experience. Sadly, the weather forecast of strong winds and heavy rain meant we had to make the difficult decision to pack up early. However, we will definitely return to Barn Farm again - fantastic facilities, beautifully maintained and situated in the ideal area. Thank you Barn Farm Campsite - see you again in the future!

The site was peaceful and very clean and the staff were really friendly and polite. It's an ideal base to explore the more remote areas of The Peak District.

Great site in a wonderful location. Facilities were fantastic and the staff very friendly. I think this site is great for children as there is a lovely games room and play park. Red lion pub a few minutes away serves excellent food and home made beer, will visit again.

Just left Barn farm after 3 nights. We had an amazing time whilst there. Very little we found fault in and already discussing when to return. The campsite had just what was needed. The amount of amenities made the stay so comfortable and laid back. Lots of showers and toilets so you never had to wait. These were always clean and well tended, just a shame campers decided to leave dirty nappies in sanitary bins to cause a terrible smell, but no fault of the camp at all. Fields were in great condition and not too busy. Safe environment for all children to have lots of fun. Location was perfect for exploring locally and further afield if required. We loved the walks by the camp finding the nine ladies' stones and Cork stone, as well as climbing to explore the Druid's caves. Wow, what an experience that was. The on site shop had all emergency supplies but Aldi was only 15 minutes away. The Alpacas and peacocks made it great for the children and a lovely wake up call in the morning. Such value for money. Doubt we will look for another site when we next return to the Peaks. I think the only thing I would address is the kids park. Didn't allow the kids there too much as we were a tad tired with a few risky prices of play equipment. Broken fence, cracked slide and wobbly structures. Saying this, with all the open space and other games and equipment dotted around camp, this didn't cause an issue at all. The large games and nets were a great addition. P.S. We did lose a drone in the field so keep a look out🙈

We had a great weekend at Barn Farm. It's a beautiful campsite, with excellent facilities and amazing views. There were a lot of great walks right on the doorstep and the lady in charge helped us plan our routes. Absolutely brilliant and we will definitely be returning here.

The site owners were friendly and helpful. It was clean and tidy, there was plenty for children to do. A games room and a park. The toilets and showers were very clean and the prices for washing and the shop were decent. Will be visiting again soon!

A lovely first stay for us. Perfect for families. Everything you need on site. Nice pub a short walk away. Lots to explore near by. The fields do have slopes, so not easy to find a flat spot when busy, but it wouldn't put me off going again.

This is our 7th year going to Barn Farm. Their facilities and rural-relaxed setting are amazing. Beautiful views and walks aplenty. We love walking to the next village, Winster for some eye-catching views and brilliant pub food at the Miners Standard.
