We stayed as 2 families with young children on a very wet and windy weekend, but had a fantastic time. Really lovely site, the facilities were great and there were plenty of showers. The games room was very useful when it was tipping it down and they also opened a large barn with seating, where we could take the kids to play. Planning to return when the sun is out!

Turned up after a long drive up hill and down Dale, in torrential rain. The site weren't aware we were coming, so some digging around in the system was required before they eventually found our booking. We were told to head to any hard-standing pitches - ultimately the only ones left were furthest away from the main facilities. From what we could see none of the hard standings were level, and as we had no levelling blocks so we had a night sleeping at an angle. The site was full of Duke Of Edinburgh campers, who posed no problems, but the four toilets became three as one ended up being blocked. Four toilets for the whole site. We had no experience of the showers as the weather turned poor and we made the decision to leave in the morning of the first full day, as high winds were promised and we were worried about the integrity of the pop roof. Overall, I can imagine the site would be wonderful in glorious weather, but sadly for us it wasn't to be.

This was a great find. Perfect for walks at the bottom of Stanton Moor. Birchover has a couple of nice pubs with friendly staff and great food. The cleanliness of the site and facilities were exemplary. Would definitely recommend.

This campsite was lovely and so clean, in a beautiful location. Our only complaint would be the 4am or 5am peacock alarm call 🙈

What a beautiful spot! Barn Farm is a wonderful campsite. Very well run and everything feels spacious. That makes such a difference. Friendly helpful staff. Everyone who visits is bound to remember the peacocks - there are about 10 I think and apart from being beautiful, they are full of character. Listen out for Honk and Kazoo (my names)!

As a spot for relaxing and touring the Dales, it'd be hard to find better. Just beware there are some well steep hills around.

This is a nice site, backed with well-maintained showers and toilets. The shop is small, but has the basics. The site was busy being what appears to be a central point for school kids doing Duke of Edinburgh and other similar activities. The school kids can be noisy at acceptable times, but are quiet at the appropriate times so don't let this put you off. Games room for older kids and a small area for younger ones. This is a good spot with Stanton Moor above it, surrounded by loads of walks and visitor points like the Blue John and lead mines.Good pub food in the village and multiple alternative pubs within a short drive. Staff were happy to answer questions and polite. The caravan pitches drop quite a lot at the back and at the sides, so be prepared to do quite a bit of levelling and don't be scared to ask for bricks. Despite some rain every day, we had a good week.

Great facilities including powerful hot showers, a lovely playgroup and other activites for children, and all the animals; set in gorgeous countryside. We couldn't have asked for more to make the weekend perfect. Will definitely be back again!

Fantastic site, clean showers, beautiful setting & friendly staff. Shop on site for essentials, we went to the family weekend, the kids absolutely loved the day. This is our second visit & we are planning on coming here yearly with the kids as it's safe for them to run around and play in the playground and make friends with other families.

This is was the third visit for a few days of remote camping with our friends and it never disappoints. Clean facilities & lovely staff (who help you out when your car battery dies!) The family fun day was lovely and the band in the evening was amazing. 2 pubs in walking distance and some lovely scenic walks to stretch your legs. We'll be back again for sure!

We took our grandchild away for a weekend break and the campsite more than lived up to what we needed. Loads of safe space to run and play, a handy shop for those forgotten essentials, animals to entertain us and clean, well stocked bathroom facilities. Would definitely stay here again

Best caravan site with everything you need. Great site, children's playground, on site shop, games room and well looked after toilets and washrooms. Very well run and know the needs of campers. We visited last year and returned again for their amazing events that they put on. All had brilliant time, even if weather was a little cold and windy! Accessible, well run campsite which is ideal for families

Went with a group of friends. Able to set up near each other. Play area for the kids is good. Toilets facilities cleaned regularly. Surrounding bins cleared often. Onsite shop had reasonable prices. Festival was super and great to hear the live band.

Great weekend. Quite busy as there was lots on a band, stalls, pizza, pony rides, face painting, but the site was quiet at night. Clean and didn't feel too busy.
