Friendly lady who was rushing about with lambing season. Basic site with very clean showers and toilets and with a class pub next door for meals and a few drinks. Will stay again!
Excellent site to access Helvellyn and adjoining Wainwright Fells

Good campsite in a great location for walking Helvellyn and the surrounding Fells. Pub next door was great with good food. We also enjoyed the local Herdwick lambs bleating!
Conveniently near main road

Easy access, clean and functioning facilities, convenient for travelling to Grasmere and Keswick, next door to good pub/restaurant. The campsite is in close proximity to a relatively busy main road, which caused more traffic noise than expected for this rural location.
Lovely campervan spot

Lovely spot to pull-up a campervan! Bathrooms were super clean, what else could you need?

The positioning of this site is really quite perfect for accessing Keswick, Windermere and Ambleside to name but a few. There is a really good quality Inn next door which has excellent food. The toilet facilities are clean and tidy. As a newbie on sites like this I wasn't sure what to expect, but for the price and ease of access, it's a place I would recommend. Only saw the owners for five mins when I arrived.
Good stay

The campsite is in good location, but basic facilities - would benefit from a fold down seat in the men's showers.
Clean and basic

Basic and simple. Lovely setting, open and sunny, with lambs in field next to the the hard standing electric hookup. Traffic noise during the day, odd car at night and hot showers with no charge. The Kings head hotel next door does not serve meals to walk in customers at the moment, however the Travelers Inn 5 miles towards Grasmere is excellent, try the fish and chips. Bus stop right outside the campsite. Will stay again!
Quality place for a quality price

Read a lot of negative reviews and they couldn't have been more wrong in my opinion. The spot is beautiful. The facilities are basic but clean and had everything I needed. There was no signal but that's not the farms fault due to it been sandwiched in a valley and it's close to a road but I didn't find that a problem. And for the price, I would have happily paid what I paid for two nights for one night there. People complaining about the farm owner been grumpy etc - he's a sheep farmer who probably does 20hr days, I'd be a bit grumpy. But I found him to be a nice guy! I will definitely be going back again soon.

Great campsite not far from Keswick, either a bus or taxi journey. Friendly owners and a pub right next door.

Great location with walks around the reservoir and the route up to Helvellyn. A convenient bus stops just outside the site for Keswick or Grasmere and Windermere in the other direction. The owner is very sociable and helpful. Will definitely be visiting again.

Problem with a blockage when we visited so toilets didn't flush. Overall we would stay again.
