Really lovely site and great facilities- highly recommended.

Awesome stay

Awesome stay, huge pitches with plenty of space for all your stuff. Nice and quiet, brilliant for kids with there being a park and pool. Will defo be back.

Good campsite

Good location, quiet and everything you need on site. Toilets were alright, but need more cleaning. Staff very friendly.

Fantastic site, amenities and staff

This was a great find for a last minute bank holiday getaway! The site was really good, with lots for the kids to do, the play area was centrally located so we could see kids playing from our pitch. The swimming pool was a golden addition as our kids loved waking up and having an hour in there playing! There were lifeguards on duty and comfy loungers for spectators. The reception/shop was well stocked and it was a nice surprise that they sold freshly baked pizza, plus the local fish & chip van arrived on Saturday night. The staff in reception were so helpful and friendly which was lovely! The washing up area also had lots of space and a washing machine/dryer to use. The showers were clean and easy to use with hairdryers, sinks and mirrors. I didn't see any cleaning staff myself but the facilities were always clean (even at 3/4am!) The site had a big safari tent which had tables and chairs where families could sit, socialise and it was stocked with books and family games/DVDs. Outside the Safari tent was a drinks bar, which was staffed, so it was nice to grab a beer and sit out together while kids played. Only cons were that the staff at the outside bar were socialising with their own friends and seemed preoccupied with this. The Fish & Chip van was only on-site until 6:30pm. The site was quite quiet and everyone seemed to go to bed early! This is a personal preference of ours that when camping we like to sit out and enjoy the evening! And lastly it was a shame that they didn't allow firepits - again only personal preference as we enjoy them when camping. Overall the 'cons' are minor and were outweighed by the pros! So we would return if in the area!

A couple of the team live onsite and do like to socialize with the guests in the evenings, lots of friends made over the last few months. We now have a pizza oven at Reception so we can cook pizzas to order! Unfortunately fire pits can be quite dangerous especially in a wooded park like Parbola, we had no rain for about 2 months and fires can start so easily we don't allow fire pits to keep everyone safe. We are proud of our park and its peaceful and tranquil setting is magical. Come back and see us again soon.

Disappointed

On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our pitch. The pitches were incredibly close together and what was meant to be quiet time between 10pm and 8am wasn't adhered to, We were kept awake the first night until the early hours by a rowdy group opposite. There are only six toilets for each men and women, which is far too few for such a large site. It didn't seem they had been cleaned or restocked with toilet roll throughout the time we were there. They were dirty and smelly and the water was lukewarm. The swimming pool was used by our children which they enjoyed and great to see two life guards. The mini golf hasn't been maintained, signs had fallen down and it was covered in leaves making it difficult to play. The food van opened and we were one of the first to order. However, our two portions of chips took over half an hour to cook. Sadly, the food van was closed for breakfast due to staff shortages. This I feel is a shame as the park is in a great location and the staff were lovely. We will not be returning.

We would like to reassure you that if you have any issues after 10 pm we would ask you to call the warden's phone and our onsite team would be happy to help. The showers and toilets are cleaned regularly and the toilet roll is replenished as necessary. Unfortunately, we had a lot of wastage this August due to children being disrespectful of the facilities, which spoils it for others. The free mini golf is maintained to the best of our ability and obviously being under the trees we have leaves on the course a lot of the time. We have installed a pizza oven and we cook pizzas to order in reception. Thanks again for your valuable comments.

Great site

Great campsite. nicely separated areas and great park for kids. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Only thing that could do with improvements are the shower and toilets facilities. Could do with more of them and updating. Wouldn't put me off staying again.

Lovely family campsite

Lovely, friendly holiday park. Very welcoming and now a family favourite!

Not very clean

I felt that the toilets and showers were not cleaned properly.

Great site, great team and facilities

Back from an amazing week. The staff were amazing, always happy to help. The site is great with lots of good points. The wood toilet block needs updating, but the other block was clean, tidy and great. We loved the water machine and fresh local milk refillable machine. Nice produce in shop. Overall, great.

Excellent

Such a lovely site. Friendly, great facilities but not tacky at all. Fantastic live music on Saturday night. Loved the bar and food cart was a great addition to camp. Teenagers loved the Wifi tent! Very close to phenomenal beaches. Very friendly helpful staff. Really sad to leave.

Amazing family friendly campsite, with super helpful and friendly staff

We can't rate this campsite highly enough. Everything was great, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was what made our stay exceptional. Every single person there couldn't have been more better. I've never experienced customer service across the whole staff quite like it. We will definitely be coming back here for years now.

A little gem

What a find. Such a peaceful location within an easy drive of both north and south coasts of Cornwall. Lovely outdoor pool. Great play areas and don't forget to try the mini golf. Also a well stocked shop.

Excellent stay

Absolutely loved every minute of our stay here. Fabulous park, clean showers and amenities. Lovely staff and added bonus of a outdoor pool. Brilliant location to so many different beaches and beautiful places to visit. St Michael's Mount is a must see!! Thank you for a wonderful experience. We will see you again soon!

Family fun camping

Fantastic park, we stayed for an extra 2 nights. Highly recommend, very helpful staff, clean hot showers, great for kids.

Just such a lovely stay and felt welcome throughout!

Such a lovely venue. We had so much space and it does not feel like a vast campsite - everything is divided into small areas of grass with about 6 good size pitches. The park has lots of amenities - we didn't have to suffer waiting for bathrooms or showers. The pool was lovely on some very warm and sunny days. Even the washing-up room offers a great deal of space when cleaning up. However, it is the staff that create so much value for this place. They were so lovely and friendly and gave lots of advice and recommendations. There are a number of 'fringe' freebies that are really thoughtful - from free doggy biscuits to a beach toy 'library' where you can borrow items for the day. Even a little miniature golf course is available and free, and was great fun for the kids (and the adults!)

What a great place!

What a great find! Never been to Hayle before, but would highly recommend Parbola! It's so quiet here, beautiful trees and we woke up to the birds singing. Lots to do in the area and the swimming pool is opening next week! We will be back!

Beautiful location

Beautiful and quiet spot, with amazing wildlife and birds around the park. Great location for exploring the local area, with one of the highlights being Gwithan beach, 3 miles of golden sand less than 10 mins from park. Everything was clean and the staff were very helpful!

Can't wait to come back!

What an amazing location! It's so central to everywhere in Cornwall, such a good base to travel to the North & South coasts, Lands End or the Eden Project! We stayed a few years ago and since then Lovat Parks have taken over under new management. We understand the holiday accommodation has all been upgraded and we can't wait to come back!
