Such a lovely, old-school, campsite. Immaculately kept. Great for children. Quiet and lovely location. Exceptionally kind and friendly staff. We adored it. Walk to the beach. Drive to lots of interesting places. A brilliant find.

The campsite is set in a lovely peaceful area just a 15 minute walk to the local beach of Colwell Bay and the local shops. The pitches are huge compared to other sites we have visited which give space and privacy. The toilet blocks, showers and washing up/laundry area are spotless. All the staff are extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the local area; in the Tourist Information Hut there is a wealth of information about local walks and tourist attractions. It is worth picking up a bus timetable, the buses run frequently with the fare costing £2 per trip. The bus stop is just outside the campsite and is about a 10 mins ride to the Needles. We used the buses a lot which gave a complete rest from driving.
Green and pleasant land!

Such a lovely site and the warmest of welcomes on arrival. The pitch was large and well kept and level. We like level. Looking forward to coming back for longer next year. Big thanks to Annie and Brian who were so helpful and who offered great advice.

We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our holiday and it didn't disappoint, it was exceptionally clean with great facilities and a lovely warm welcome too. Wish we had discovered it earlier in the week, the best campsite by far!

What a lovely little site! Jed and Maureen were very welcoming, and had loads of local knowledge. It was so lovely we stayed an extra night!. Showers and loos were clean and tidy but only three women's cubicles. This wasn't a problem as the site wasn't full. Would recommend this lovely campsite and would definitely visit again.

A lovely warm welcome from wardens Jed and Maureen, 2 of the wardens working on site along with Brian and Annie. The site has a really good feel and clean showers and toilets. Good washing up and veg prep areas along with laundry facilities. You can swap your ice packs for the site ones for a donation towards a defibrillator. There are good walks near by and a bus stop right outside. The site has a good information room. Would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely loved Heathfield Farm. The managers of the campsite Brian and Annie were fantastic. I cannot say enough about their hospitality. The welcome was great, they are so friendly and so helpful, nobody could wish for more as they go out of their way to help with anything and they have great local knowledge. The showers on the site were great and the laundry room had everything you needed, Wendy does an amazing job of keeping it spotless. All the staff working their are absolutely lovely. The campsite itself is kept very maintained and spotless. Lovely flowers and they even have a herb garden you can pick herbs from to add to meals. The space allowed for each tent or motorhome is very large, so lots of room to set up. In my opinion it is situated on the best side of the Island, there is a bus stop just outside the camp, it is £2 and the bus service is the best I have seen anywhere and goes all over the island, meaning we did not have to use the car much and we enjoyed the views through the beautiful villages on the top deck. I will be returning to Heathfield, I would have liked to stay until the end of the season, its a great place to stay. Brian & Annie, thank you for adding to a great holiday and look forward to seeing you again.

What a lovely site. Very clean, well looked after and well thought out facilities. Loads of little things, like free herbs and the use of bricks and boards for BBQ.

We had a lovely low season stay at Heathfield campsite. The facilities were very clean, staff friendly and helpful and the pitch was large and flat. There are hedges between fields and a lovely dog exercise area. Showers were hot and water plentiful. It is only a short drive to/from the Wight Link ferry at Yarmouth. Close to a beach at Colwell Bay. Shops within a ten to fifteen minute walk including a fish and chip shop. My only reticence about recommending this site is that there are limited toilets and showers for an 80 pitch site. In high season when the site might be full this could lead to queuing. Fine if you have your own on board facilities.
Family friendly, peaceful site

Location was good - on the quieter side of the Isle of Wight, close to beautiful quiet beaches & a bus service at the end of the road, very handy! We did a lovely walk to the Needles straight from the campsite. The site itself was spacious and we had a good-sized, clearly defined pitch.Toilets & washing-up areas were clean and spacious. The showers were clean but extremely small - too small. It was a real squeeze to fit in and get things out of your bag, get changed etc. Site staff were friendly. There's a little hut with attraction leaflets, bus timetables etc in which was handy. The playing field had goals and a basketball post which my children really enjoyed. The play park in the middle of the field was also great - enough to keep the children entertained whilst being able to see them from the tent. I would recommend it.

Heathfield Farm Campsite is in a perfect position for visiting the local beaches and places of interest in the west of the island. The site staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and gave us lots of information about the local area. The camp facilities were kept very clean and the whole area was kept very tidy. We had a very nice stay and would return another time.

The owners of the site are super helpful and really friendly. Really warm welcome when we arrived. The site is very well kept and really quiet. We would recommend this site to anyone wanting a quiet location. We only have one recommendation and that is for more showers. For the size of the site, it could do with another shower block. Three showers in the men's block is not enough and they are very small. However, this did not spoil our stay at all. A lovely site run by lovely people.

Much larger pitches than usual and perfect ground for tent pegs. Really friendly staff and incredibly well-maintained facilities. Feels very quiet and countryside-ish and yet, you're less than 10 minutes walk from shops, cafes etc.

We just loved this campsite - friendly staff, beautiful setting close to all the attractions/beaches we had planned to visit. No fuss, everything was just so easy here. We had a lovely stay and will be back again in the future, that's for certain. Thank you Heathfield Farm.

We all had a super time at Heathfield - it is conveniently located for the Yarmouth ferry - although we came into East Cowes via the Red Funnel line (highly recommended too). The plan was to soak up some sun, do some walking with the dog and get in some paddle boarding (first time). We came during a heatwave, so plenty of sun. Our dog, although he is small loves to walk and there are plenty of English Heritage properties to visit that welcome dogs, plus the camp's own dog walking meadow was great facility to use first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Both Colwell Bay and Freshwater Bay are great for water activities, we tried out paddle boarding in Colwell Bay - you can walk there from the campsite (with your board on you back) - beach is a bit stony so bring some flipflops. The town of freshwater (short walk from the campsite) has both a Co-op and a Sainsbury's and a range of coffee shops, pubs, restaurants and take-aways to satisfy any palate. Everyone is so friendly not just on the campsite but all the locals they really make you feel welcome. All-in-all, an excellent experience and we and our dog, Barney, will definitely be coming back to Heathfield and the Isle of Wight real soon.
Great quiet break

Stayed at the site for 4 days. Annie and Brian warmly welcomed me and showed me to my pitch. Brian supplied me with a piece of wood for my motorbike stand. Facilities were good and clean. There will always be a wait for the showers at peak times, no big deal. The pitches were well looked after. There is a Co-op locally, along with a couple of takeaway places all within a 25 min walk, round trip. The local boy racers on their motorbikes and cars make a bit of noise in the evenings but it's no fault of the campsite. Colwell bay is walking distance away with great food and drink. If you are staying there with a motorbike, the roads are fantastic to ride, in particular from Chale to Shanklin or Ryde. Would go back but the ferry prices are a little expensive for a 45 min crossing.
