About Top of the Woods
With 27 acres of nature, this is a sustainable, low density site providing camping and glamping and is dedicated to increasing biodiversity and new habitats and offering wild spaces for their guests. An easy drive of 15-20 mins to beaches (with the nearest being Poppit Sands and National Trust beach, Mwnt) and the gorgeous Preseli Hills and coastline of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the site is surrounded by the Ffynone Woodlands. With a delightful boutique feel, you can take it slow, relax and reconnect with the great outdoors. Friendly and welcoming hosts will give you a site tour and are always on hand to help, with local insight into the best things to see and do in Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. Top of the Woods hosts a variety of onsite activities (including foraging and yoga), events (such as their Wild Gin Weekend) and delicious seasonal food options, guaranteed to make your holiday experience something special. You can get back to nature in the camping meadow, with four acres of "pitch where you want" wildflower meadow to sun yourself in the company of buzzing bees and fluttering butterflies. Or, park up in their two exclusive campervan pitches providing plenty of space for one campervan plus gazebo/awnings, or two if you are coming with friends or family. If putting up a tent doesn't tickle your fancy, you can also book a stay in one of the stylish, luxurious, eco friendly glamping accommodations. All have private cooking facilities, fire pits/BBQs, luxury feather bedding, and a basket of firewood and heating included! The Pioneer camps are perfect for adventurous families and friends, who want to discover their frontier spirits! Each sleeps up to four on a king size and two single suspended beds in two bedroom compartments. The spacious tents also have a frontier wood burning stove, campaign chairs and plenty of space for your luggage. Outside you will find the iconic Pioneer waggon covered camp kitchen and campfire area. The splendid views might tempt you into one of the nature domes, fully furnished with one king size and two single proper wood framed beds, indoor dining table and chairs and a toasty wood burning stove. Step outside into bespoke ensuite galley camp kitchen and enjoy the birdsong with your morning coffee! The huge eco-boutique safari lodges sleep up to six on a king size, two singles and two sofa beds. With their own private toilet and showers, and a heating stove to keep you cosy at night. Inside your tent you will find an open plan living space with fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Outside you can soak up the views from your own veranda, sit around the campfire or totally relax in your narrowboat hammock.
The site is open from the 28th March to 14th April for glamping and then again from 2nd May to 30th September for camping and glamping.

Large, 15m x 15m, exclusive campervan pitches, with plenty of space for one VW type campervan plus gazebo/awnings, or two if you are coming with friends or family. Close to all the facilities but tucked away with views of the national park.

Looking for something quirky to do with your weekend? How about trying one of the site's Find Your Wild Weekends and discover your Wild with a River Trek, E-bike Trail in the stunning Pembrokeshire National Park, Coasteering or try a tipple at the Wild Gin Weekend, perfect for small groups and adventurers, these holidays include food, accommodation, and your experience.
Top of the Woods have regular onsite activities and events throughout the summer including a barn cinema, foraging, walking and bike trails, basketball, table tennis, storytelling, yoga, and meeting their friendly Kunekune pigs, Harry, Gertrude, and Myrtle.
There are also hosted evening meals, farmhouse breakfasts and local pop up restaurants serving delicious, locally sourced and seasonal food in the site's Dutch barn - a covered communal social and picnic area.
Alternatively, you could come at any other time and enjoy the outdoorsy fun of toasting marshmallows around the campfire, getting everyone together for a game in the meadow, or swinging lazily in the hammock garden.
There are 325 acres of woodland to explore direct from the site, where you can follow their hand drawn trail, discover the secret waterfalls, shady glades and other hidden gems whilst enjoying a relaxing time in nature.
