About Gwel y Mor Camping and Touring Park
The site is nestled beside the Llyn Peninsula's southern coast in Wales, between the popular town of Abersoch and Llanbedrog. The sandy beach at the Warren is only a ten minute walk away, so all the fun of the seaside is on hand. Other family friendly beaches can be found at Abersoch and Llanbedrog, a 5 minute drive. On offer is a spacious 1 acre camp field within easy access of site facilities but separate from main touring park. Staff limit numbers on the camping field, giving plenty of space. There are super size pitches with electric hook ups which can accommodate units up to 10 metres squared. There are also water points on the field. Both hard and soft standing pitches are available and in total there are 75 fully serviced pitches with electric hook ups and water, along with 50 unserviced pitches.

75 x Serviced Pitches For Tourers
There are 75 fully serviced pitches with both hard and soft standings available, benefitting from EHUs, and water. Pitches can accommodate caravans and motor homes up to and in excess of 30 feet.
50 x Unserviced Grass Pitches with Electric
There are 50 pitches without services. Pitches can accommodate units up to 10 metres squared and there are water points on the field.

Things to do on site and in the Pwllheli area
During the school holidays Gwel Y Mor is a children's paradise, with ample space for children to play on the play area and on the football pitch provided.
There are stretches of stunning beaches and coastal walks on the Llyn peninsula. The nearest sandy beach is the Warren beach just a 10 minute walk from site. From the beach at Abersoch you can learn to sail, windsurf and surf. For those wanting to travel to other beaches of Llyn or keen walkers, there are stunning routes to other sandy areas available.
Abersoch village has a vibrant night life with many restaurants and bars. During the season the village hosts the Wakestock Festival, Jazz Festival, Dinghy Week and these are unique favourites.
Regular fishing trips leave the beach twice a day. Further afield in the small market towns of Pwllheli and Porthmadog, you can find traditional markets and a cinema, bowling, go-karting, quad biking, archery and a leisure centre with plenty of indoor activities.
For the golfers there are 7 courses within 15 minutes drive as well as a driving range 5 minutes up the road at Llanbedrog.
In the wider area you could visit castles at Caernarfon, Harlech and Criccieth, take in the sights of Anglesey, and explore more of this lovely peninsula.
