Cae Du Campsite offers guests a relaxing getaway from the busyness of everyday life, with peaceful pitches set at the foot of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). Boasting picturesque views from every pitch, campers will be surrounded by nature, especially with the onsite lake and river! A great location within walking distance of the village. Generous pitches and good facilities to hand. Loads of hot water on tap or in showers. Detailed walking guides to choose from, led us to a super walk. I appreciated the facilities, which were well thought out and practical, and always spotless. The site is also kept immaculate with plantings in hand and some delightful wanders on site, especially the scenic lake and lovely river.
Well worth a visit

The park was easy to find and in a prime location for exploring the Snowdonia National Park so the location is absolutely amazing, you wake up in the morning to the most fabulous views of the Snowdonia National Park. The park was reasonably priced, due to the location. The facilities are pretty basic and could do with a bit of an upgrade, especially the shower block. We also thought £4 for use of the tumble dryer was a bit steep. That said, the site was family friendly and has a policy of no noise after 20:30hrs. What was lovely was an early morning dip in the river which runs through the site.
Great location for Snowdon

Lovely campsite in great location for climbing Snowdon and exploring surrounding area. Good facilities. More hairdryers would be good.

Lovely site. Well equipped and looked after. Busy but the set up and sections meant it didn't feel it. Beautiful surroundings and showers and toilets plentiful and clean.

Location was fantastic. Value for money, compared to others, very expensive. Standard of service was great, except that they had booked someone else under my name before I arrived. Young lady said "you are booked already, what can I say." Hearing this after 6hrs drive to get there was not a nice welcome. Facilities, I felt there were not enough showers and toilets for so many people. Queuing every morning to get to the shower or toilet! Also, very old toilets, broken and showers should be replaced. Tall people are struggling to get under the shower. Cleanliness, it was spotless, everyday all facilities were cleaned. Overall, good but could be better if few things will be improved
A fantastic getaway

Lovely campsite! It sits within a 10 minute walk of Beddgelert which is a great little town for exploring. Lots of walks nearby too. The site has a lot of things to do and the pitch was massive. We really enjoyed our stay. The only negative I could say was that the toilets were nice when we arrived on the Friday and by Sunday, they were really smelly and unclean. That's the only thing I could say about the site that was negative. Still recommend going, just maybe when it's quieter and not in peak season.

It's in an amazing location and there is a really good walk to the nearby town. We will definitely be back, especially if we can stay on the same site, D2. Thanks.

This must be the perfect base to explore the stunning mountain scenery of Snowdonia and sample the picturesque delights of Beddgelert, a 10 minute stroll away. There are spacious pitches with stunning views to suit everyone, from campers in tents, to motorhomes/ caravans with electricity and water taps provided. The two facility blocks are well planned and very well maintained. Free WIFI is available, it seems more than adequate to cope with the demands of a large site. Cae Du's biggest asset is it's location, it is stunning. The site takes full advantage of its river, village and mountain surroundings, without being a blot on the landscape. The staff are brilliant and take the time to ensure that everyone gets the most out of their time at Cae Du.

A beautifully-located campsite with well-kept and spacious pitches. Lots of lovely green space and specific areas to sit and enjoy the views, not a campsite that is trying to cram as many campers in as possible. Staff are so helpful and accommodating. I marked the facilities and cleanliness as lower due to age however I'm sure this is a project that will be modernised in time as campsite is newly owned. Cleanliness was good and so hard to keep on top of the insects that this location naturally attracts! Beddgelert is a stunning village and so well-situated for exploring Snowdonia. Rachel (manager) was very helpful and accommodating and lots of useful information re: things to do in the office and the barn. Lots of different areas in the site to camp depending on your needs: backpacking, groups, families! We will definitely be back!
Can't wait to go again

Had an amazing break in Snowdonia in our Motorhome. We chose to stay at Cae Du because of its proximity to Snowdon and surrounding areas. The campsite has everything you would want, clean, tidy with a wonderful welcoming & helpful team. There is a little village which is a 10 min walk away with shops, cafes & pubs and a bus service to Snowdon routes. We had an amazing stay - all facilities were fantastic. Thank you for the tip on how best to approach the site avoiding the wrong narrow road! If there is one critique to be made is that the Wi-Fi is a little intermittent - due to number of users perhaps, but we go to be in the wilds I suppose, not to surf, lol!

After a very rainy first night, the very helpful staff relocated us, they had offered earlier but we were settled. The site was newly opened and they had no knowledge of flooding pitches. A month worth of rain fell in one night. Very good staff could not have helped more. We then unfortunately had a car break down before we left after two lovely days in this stunning area and they were really helpful. Looked after us, made us a brew and let us and two dogs camp in office to wait for the AA. Stunning location, lots to do. Very clean, quiet campsite. 5 stars from me and company.
Loved it

A stunning location, perfect for all our planned activities. Facilities good with hot showers with decent water pressure. Friendly staff, grounds well maintained, tidy and clean. Firepits are allowed and can be rented if needed. Large site with lots of different areas, so has a small site feel. Would definitely recommend.
Very tranquil, amazing views and good facilities

Loved our time! Our site was spacious and despite the site seemingly full you never felt busy and facilities didn't result in queues. The weather whilst we were there was very changeable - lots of rain, drizzle, sunshine, humid with midges and cold! There are just 2 things that I think would really elevate the site (especially given then likelihood of bad weather!). Firstly, some dryers for clothes - being damp/wet can really take the joy out of a day! Secondly, the ability to borrow a table - there are a few dotted around the campsite but would love to be able to borrow one at the site. Other than that, the highlights! Wi-Fi! The shower pressure and temperature, the ANPR entrance give your comfort, the polite and helpfulness of the staff! Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay with you but the last night wasn't so good 😕 Think there were a few lads in the tent not far from us who were noisy until about 12:30ish, laughing and joking, so we didn't get much sleep at all.
Site's response
Hi Robert, I am very sorry to hear you had a bad evening on your last night of the holiday. Please note, we have wardens on call 24/7 which are there for any late calls. I am sorry we couldn't help on the evening. We really hope to see you again.
