Very friendly welcome from reception. Lovely clean site. Great access to the lake we had so much fun on there. Not far from Barmouth, the Mach Loop and surrounding areas of interest. Will definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The site was immaculate and the facilities, such as toilets and showers were modern and always clean. The views onto and over the lake were stunning. Considering how wet it had been, the site was surprisingly dry but there was some standing water. We were given the option to track down a dry pitch rather than just being allocated one. We would definitely book there again if looking for site in that area.

Lovely campsite situated on the edge of lake Bala. Great for paddle boarding and kayaking. We pitched one large tent and paid for an extra car. When we arrived we were told only one car could stay on the site the other car needed to be placed in the car park. This meant emptying everything which was a pain.

We had a brilliant family weekend away here. The site was really good. Very clean and spacious. Being right on the lake was brilliant. And only 7 min car ride into the main high street. We definitely will be coming back again.

Beautiful site, lovely views and the lake was great for our paddle boards. Well stocked shop on site with pretty much everything you'd need for a weekend away. Toilets were clean when got there but unfortunately, some kids filled the sinks with grass and made a mess by flicking water everywhere. More of a parenting issue than the campsites fault though. Me and my partner went down separately, so we paid an extra car charge of £3 per night. There was plenty of room on the pitch for both cars which was handy. Lovely and quiet at night, had a great sleep. We would absolutely come here again, best site we've been to!

We recently visited this campsite and had a mostly pleasant experience. The location is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and plenty of scenic spots to enjoy. However, we were disappointed to find out that they only rent water equipment on weekends when it is the summer season.

Busy but lovely site. Most excellent location for paddle board and kayak. Easy shallow 'beach' type area for launching.

Friendly welcome. The ablutions (toilets, sinks & showers) blocks were spotlessly clean. Pitches were level and well maintained. Easy access to the lake for water sports. £1.50 bus fare to get into Bala. Well stocked shop, but limited opening hours. Be warned, the lake is a low level (250ft) flight path for fast jets entering Snowdonia, 5 or 6 times during the day.
Lovely site, really enjoyed and will return

Lovely location and facilities clean. A little out of the way but buses run regularly into Bala. Would have liked Wi-Fi to be free but I suppose not choosing to pay added to the peace and quiet!

The whole family came for a long weekend and loved every second. We had our two little lads with us (2&3) and there was plenty of space for them to run wild in the fresh air. Really nice and quiet at night, all other campers were really respectful. Waking up to such beautiful views of the lake just a stones throw away was a bonus. Toilets and showers were faultless, really nice and clean! Zero complaints from this happy camper. Will definitely be returning.

The campsite was in a fabulous location right on the lake, with lots of water activities available. It was very quiet and well kept, and the facilities clean and modern. There was a small shop which stocked essentials and the staff were helpful and pleasant. It would have been beneficial if the dog walking area was larger. Bala was a short drive away and there was also a reliable bus service. The views were beautiful.

Stayed for 2 nights. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parked caravan near to site gate opening which was very convenient. Toilets and facilities were clean and close at hand. Shops, restaurants and bars, easy access to Bala, a small town about 3 miles away. Regular bus service. The only criticism we have is the showers. They are powerful enough and clean, but having to press a button multiple times to keep the shower going is very inconvenient. We would still recommend this site.

Bala Lake is beautiful and the site is right on its shoreline. Great private beach area for launching and a very reasonable charge for a permit for paddleboarding. The facilities on site are plentiful and kept very clean considering it's a busy site. Ideal for families and groups of friends. The ladies on reception were very welcoming and helpful too. Wished we'd have stopped longer.
We left early!

The campsite location was great. We sadly had a family next to us who didn't care about any surrounding people. Loud music, dogs barking, several footballs bouncing off our motorhome! We did not enjoy our time here and left after two nights. It's very much a family campsite which is nice, but sadly some families simply don't care about others.
Site's response
We are extremely disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We do provide vehicle tags and site maps for every arrival, and on these there is a 24 hour telephone number. Our guests can contact us any time using this number if there are any disturbance or cause for concerns whilst you are on-site. This message can also been seen on posters in our shop window and in all our facilities.

Great site and amazing pitch right by the lake, used green dragon activities for sup lessons which are right on site on the private beach. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

We had never been to this campsite before and were pleasantly surprised at the location and quality of the site. Situated at the side of Bala Lake in North Wales, the scenery is stunning. The camp has all the normal facilities for motorhomes, caravans and tents. Our caravan pitch had hardstanding for the car and caravan, with grass on one side to erect our awning. There was a spotlessly clean toilet and shower block and all the other things you need for a camping weekend. The local area has everything you could want from a holiday with beautiful walking country, water sports and the nearby town of Bala with several pubs, restaurants and a narrow gauge railway. Highly recommended.

Lovely site. Pitches at the shore. Pizza van with delicious pizza. Map of site was a bit poor, we hunted for the MoHo service point and found it at the gents toilets, nowhere near the pic on the map. Had to walk a distance for water, grey waste and black waste, but it's all exercise. It was £6.20 for two, each way to Bala. Lots of grit stones on site, so have a door map. Staff very helpful and polite. Site was very picturesque and will be back again.
