Would totally recommend Fairfields Farm. Just a couple of pointers, that to get to the dog walking field, you have to get your dog through the Farm Walk (which is lovely by the way) but with a reactive dog, it can be tricky! The Farm Walk is fantastically well maintained with pigs, sheep, ponies, horses and lots of birds to see and interact with. Only thing with the birds, cockerels are very noisy at 4 in the morning and there are a few of them! Also peacocks & guinea fowl are very noisy all day too. Sounds like I'm moaning but I'm not. We had a great stay, just letting people know what to expect as we didn't. lol. Oh, the staff/owners are exceptional too!

Mostly peaceful site, although there was a distant road noise during the night Saturday. Friendly wardens and easy check in. Well spaced pitches, clean bathroom and shower, although they do need updating. Enjoyed the farm walk. Information about the bridal paths to Pevensey Bay and Sovereign Harbour would be good. There is a bus stop outside the site but we took the 99 bus from the other side of the village to Sovereign Harbour, 20 minutes away. The village of Westham is delightful and just 5 minutes walk. Also, Pevensey Castle, which we had visited before. There are tea rooms and pubs in the village. We enjoyed our weekend and so did the dog.

Beautiful site. Even though we had heavy rain on two nights, the grass areas remained firm and did not turn into a quagmire. Great location and friendly, helpful staff. Will return next year. Thank you.

My boyfriend and I stayed here as our first camping trip together. It was a brilliant experience. The site is excellent for beginners as it's fairly small and easy to navigate. We loved the farm walk and being able to feed the animals, especially the Shetland ponies! Facilities were close by and very clean. All staff were very welcoming and helpful too. The only downside is that we couldn't find a walkable grocery store to purchase things like sausages for our tea so we travelled to the gorgeous Hastings old town for the day and did some grocery shopping on our way back (definitely would recommend!) Overall an excellent stay and I would love to camp here again, (when we have purchased a more waterproof tent!)

Such a great campsite and in an excellent location. Loved everything about this place especially the animals, it gives it a very therapeutic feel. The people running the place are very nice too and everything was running smoothly and clean.

A lovely adults only campsite. Very welcoming friendly staff. The showers are lovely, spacious and plenty of hot water that doesn't dribble out and that you don't have to keep turning the on button every 3-5 seconds like our last campsite we visited! Relatively flat site, good shop and visiting ice cream van! Plenty to do in and around the area. Will definitely come back.

First, thanks Tony for the kind and informative greeting as this was only our second sit with our new caravan. The pitch, number 29, was a great location and the size of pitch made it very easy to manoeuvre (just what I needed). All of the amenities were good and clean, we felt very comfortable. As the site got busy, there was no noise at all, a great introduction to caravanning. Tony was especially helpful when I needed some heavy duty tent pegs. Thanks again to Tony and all of the team at Fairfield. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Nine nights on a nice quiet adults only site, all spotless well-maintained facilities. Huge pitches with electric hook-up, short walk to pubs and a fish and chip shop. There you can find all that you need to eat and drink. Train station was close by. Some lovely dog walks through the castle a short walk from the site. We had a very friendly welcome from the manager who went the extra mile to get this site to this high standard. Dislikes (small) lack of privacy. If pitched by the toilet/shower blocks lots of people walking past your windows. We will be back, thank you, Alan and Joan.

Honestly everything about this site (with the exception of one thing) exceeded my expectations. A huge pitch, reasonably priced, clean facilities, a little freezer which was a great help, friendly welcome and adults only - what could be better! We didn't bring a dog but we saw the dog field, which was enormous! The only thing that actually upset me whilst staying there was the conditions that the peacocks and chickens are kept in (and the pig, who was in an enclosure all by himself). The peacocks and chickens are in small enclosures with no grass, no green, just dust and dirt and stone. I felt that there are far too many all in together, and that there is no stimulation for them at all. The sheep are in a big space, the goats have company and a nice little patch, the ponies and donkeys have a huge field - but the birds will determine whether or not we return.

Firstly, we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again in the future. With regard to the pigs, as with any livestock, it is necessary to keep males separate from females otherwise they will simply produce too many offspring. They can be mixed if breeding is required but generally will be kept apart to control their numbers. Birds are extremely vulnerable to predators, particularly foxes and mink, both of which are very prevalent in our area. They need to be placed in secure locations for their own safety. If left to roam freely, in particular peacocks, turkeys and other of the larger birds, they are easily caught. Some of the birds are quite old and simply would not survive if left to wander so they are again kept in for their own welfare. The birds are shut up at night in a secure house, again to protect them from predators. If left to wander freely it would not be possible to close them up at night and offer this protection. Birds by their nature will peck and clear areas of plants and grass, hence why there is no grass within the aviaries. The birds are regularly provided with freshly cut grass which lasts several days allowing them to forage. They are fed green vegetables during the winter months. The birds are fed and watered twice per day, and regularly littered down with straw both inside and out. During the day they are free to wander both inside their houses or within their run and can shelter inside if it is either too hot or cold. We take the welfare of our animals seriously and would not subject them to conditions which wouldn't be in their best interests. We have never before had comments regarding the welfare of the birds and most of our visitors enjoy both seeing and feeding the birds.

Lovely weekend - stayed in the meadow at the back and it was a great sunset, and very quiet. Nice owner and clean facilities. Beach was a five-minute drive and 15 minutes walk to a local pub with darts.

Great stay at the campsite, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this campsite. Good and clean facilities. Nice and quiet. Great to see all the animals, although I did feel a bit guilty saying hello to the pig after I had just had a bacon butty!

Great location, close to Pevensey Castle, 2 pubs in walkable distance, walks to the beaches or 10 minute drive. Huge exercise field for pets, clean and good facilities. Working farm so lots of animals, however very quiet day and night, thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful campsite, the farm animals were delightful, would like a larger shop with longer opening hours.
Site's response
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you again in the future. With regard to the shop, unfortunately the demand does not warrant opening longer hours or expanding the items stocked. However, in the high season, the shop is open from 8am to 11am and 2pm to 6pm Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 11am Sunday.

Beautiful stay! Lovely, well maintained campsite. Warm welcome when we arrived, campsite entry is via a secure barrier, making it feel safe for our stay. Camping field is very spacious and well kept. Plenty of electric hook up points and close to mains water. Lovely walking area with many farm animals that are all friendly and happy to come over for some fussing. Toilet and shower facilities very clean, washing up area spacious with 4 large sink/drainers. Laundrette on-site but we did not use on this visit. Easy access to train station into Brighton and other locations. Overall a really lovely stay. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning in our Motorhome.

Great site, quiet, well stocked reception. Variety of farm animals along a mown, well maintained grass route around fishing lake, with a large field to let dogs off. Good facilities, good signage around site, friendly staff. Lots to do locally, Langney has indoor swimming pool complex. Langney Point has free parking in the road. There's a stop for the Dotto train which goes into Eastbourne. Pevensey Castle close, campervans park for £3 for whole day. Lots of parking in Eastbourne for campervans. Lots to do in Eastbourne, will be going going back to Fairfields Farm.

What a lovely site! Easy access from main road, beautiful setting. Very peaceful, nice toilets and showers. Sluice needs improvement, difficult not to get soaked feet! Lovely farm walk with unusual animals. Some pitches are a bit undulating but you can park whichever way you like, so easy to level without ramps. Short walk to train station for Eastbourne or Hastings. Only one shop in village (Post Office) but a couple of pubs and the Pevensey Castle tour is fascinating! Also nearby are a chip shop and some coffee shops. Would struggle to walk to beach at Pevensey Bay but could cycle or drive. £30 per night is excellent 👍 Will definitely be back.
