About Ruberslaw Wild Woods Camping
Pitches here are beautifully different, with a great range of spaces to choose from. You can camp in an Edwardian walled garden, with its orchard and terraced lawns, in tents of any size. The garden has plenty of original features, a glass house and space for lawn games. It's an area of tranquil quiet. Groups and individuals can also make themselves comfy in woodland pitches with gorgeous views, which are between ten and 20 minutes from the main hub. Woodland areas are secluded and each has a maximum of seven pitches. Home Wood is approximately a ten minute walk from the car park/reception through a grassy path and field with steps, Minto View is around a 15 minutes walk away, via an uphilll track. Castle View is an adult only pitch and about ten minutes away via a woodland path and then uphill through fields with steps. Fancy glamping? You'll be bound to love the site's four safari tents, each set in lovely natural surroundings. Inside the off-grid tents, you'll have your own private camp kitchen, lamp lighting, gas stove, comfy beds and your own lovely veranda to take in the tranquillity. Choose from Woodland Escape (five minutes walk through woodland, including steps) or Roe Deer Rest, the most secluded site, around a 20-30 minute walk via an uphill track and then across fields. The other safari tents are also around a 15 minute walk away. The site has a strong eco ethos, with careful thought put into caring for the environment in all areas. Dogs are welcome to join campers and glampers.
Ruberslaw Wild Woods Camping is open from 29/03 to 02/11 in 2024 and from 28/03 to 01/11 in 2025.
