There's a few things that stop me recommending this park. There's really not much that can be changed about some of them. The road noise is awful. Peaceful location in the site, but the road was loud at night. The washing up sinks are back breakingly low for most people. I am not tall at 5ft 9in and my back was aching after 5 minutes. The showers are hot or cold. No in-between. Usually they're just hot, but they were broken one day meaning I had a freezing shower. There's very little to do for kids on the actual site, there is stuff in the Hop Farm Play Park, but that's another business all together. So yeah, I think 3 stars represents a fair review.

The road noise is annoying at times. We will look at raising some of the washing-up sinks for next season. We do not have an onsite play park, but we do not advertise as having one, the emphasis being on enjoying family time. Do bring your own board games if you have these at home. For any issues whilst staying please call us on the contact number printed on the front of your check-in cards for us to resolve. Thank you for visiting and hope you will come again.

We came here for a second time and this time we camped just beside the river. Amazing views, fishing just few steps away, and we were able to use our boat to go up and down the river. Greatly enjoyed peace and quiet. Bio toilets are nearby, but the clean toilets and showers are a short distance to drive, we did go with a car so didn't feel any big issue with it. Overall the location was perfect for our family, loved it!

The size of a festival location, you have full choice over where you want to pitch up, there are a number of fields available to choose from. You can have a lie-in as your neighbours are about 30 metres away. The showers and toilets were good, could have done with a bit more maintenance and more frequent cleaning. The sinks for washing-up are far too low, they're ideal for children, which is great as they should be given more responsibility to help washing up, but for adults, it's really bad to be bending down so far and hurts the back. There should be a number of sinks higher up as well. Having to enter a code to enter the washing facilities seems redundant, it's already a pretty secure camping site and you need both hands free to enter the code and open the door, which can be inconvenient.

Thank you for your review. The showers and toilets are cleaned thoroughly 3 times per day approximately 6am noon and 6pm. I agree a couple of sinks should be higher I will pass this on to management and ask if this is possible to do. We have direct access to the river with many public footpaths and before the coded locks were fitted the toilets were being used by the general public, this measure has been put in place to keep them for guests use only. The codes have been in place for several months and no-one has commented before that 2 hands are needed to open, I will continue to monitor this.

Changed our stay to an electric hook up which was no problem for the receptionist. Very nice lady and very helpful.
Great campsite with loads of space

We had a brilliant weekend here. There is so much space and a massive bonus for us was the picnic table at a lot of the pitches! It would be great if they sold firewood and one thing that made no sense was not having hooks inside the shower cubicles. That is such a simple thing which would save wet clothes, towels etc. But overall this was a great site - recommended!
Pleasant suprise!

I booked this to take away my very little children for a night. Went to the Hop Farm first (tip: check in at campsite first and get 1/2 price into farm - wish I'd known), and actually I wasn't expecting much from the campsite, but I was pleasantly surprised. There was only one shower block area but we didn't even visit it because where we set up, there were very clean portaloos, a picnic bench, and a fresh water tap right next door. We had no need to go over to the busier area. These facilities are spread all around the various fields, so no long trek in the middle of the night is necessary. Only half an hours drive from Pooh Bridge and the '100 Acre Wood' which was where we went the next day. You get to have a campfire too which is a must when camping with kids! Overall, a good site and cheaper than many others nearby. Thanks!
Peace & quiet, I think not

Had an EHU pitch. A large group of people set up 5 or 6 large tents and proceeded to play loud music about 15m away. They also unloaded boxes of booze, obviously ready to party. We like to party ourselves but looked like it was going to be a big bash with BBQ's etc. We were 200 miles away from home so decided to leave at 3.30pm and move closer to home.

I am sorry that you felt you had to leave without either coming back to see me in the office which is just a couple of minutes walk from the pitch you had, or calling on the 24 hour mobile which was given when you checked in. I would have moved you to a different pitch. We have a 10pm quiet policy therefore NO music can be played after this time, however if loud music is being played at 3:30pm and causing a disturbance, I would have asked for it to be turned down.
Lots of space!

Lots of space to feel private, good shelter with tree line. Good washing up facility (although sinks are really low and hurt my back). Showers are as expected, though toilets could use more frequent cleaning and few more cubicles. It might be overcrowded if there had been more people the weekend we stayed there.
Good campsite

We stayed two nights with two other families. If you don't have an electric pitch, the camping fields are huge. We camped in our own corner and apart from trips to the toilet/shower block, I wouldn't have known anyone else was around. Great being next to the river if you've got a paddle board or kayak, as you can launch from the site. Small shop where you can grab a drink/ice cream but not foodstuff like milk etc. We didn't explore enough though - as we were leaving we saw the cafe, the adventure playground… etc!
Will definitely come again!

I came here with my son and we were really happy. Great location on the woods and river and right next to the farm, which is great for kids for a few hours. Very spacious campsite. Clean and great amenities - we will definitely be coming back! Thank you for the great time!
