About Fallow Fields Camping at Selson Farm
Every camper remembers their great camping trips, and the campsite normally has a lot to do with it. It's the vibe of the place, where you're pitched, the surroundings, the facilities and the local area. You come back exhausted and grubby, but you've loved every minute. You felt a million miles away from reality, had a smile on your face and were already planning the next trip! That's the Fallow Fields feeling! A family-friendly site in a great location with more than enough room for everyone. It's a chance to escape the daily doldrums and get some much needed open skies. You'll be staying on a beautiful fruit farm, nestled close to the apple and pear trees. Camp in a tent or campervan, the aim here is to make camping easy! This is a car-free site where kids can roam freely. Pitches are allocated, but broken up by fruit trees and long grass for a relaxed atmosphere. There are campfires to cook on by day, or keep warm by night. If you'd rather not bring your home with you, you can even glamp in either a part-furnished or a fully furnished bell tent. The bell tents feel really special and sleep 4, including a full double bed and two futon mattresses with some chic furnishings. You'll want to bring some food along too, as in the furnished bell tents there is camping equipment for cooking and eating. Don't worry if you forget the essentials though as there is a stocked onsite shop selling all the basics including bread, pasta, condiments, local produce and camping equipment! For the part furnished bell tents please bring bedding and camping equipment. Sorry, dogs can't join you in the furnished bell tents but they can in the part-furnished bell tents.
The site is open for weekends in May, a week over the late May bank holiday, weekends in June, from 7th August to 1st September and also the first two weekends of September.

Things to do on site and in the Eastry area
If you fancy heading off the farm, just a short walk from the campsite gate and through farmland leads you to public footpaths that disappear across the fields in the direction of Ash or Woodnesborough. You don't need to travel much further afield to take in the best of what the local area has to offer:
The Five Bells at Eastry will offer you a warm welcome with traditional pub grub and there's a few more worth checking out a short drive (or cycle) away - the famous Griffin's Head at Chillenden (10 mins) or the Black Pig at Staple (5 mins or a 25 min walk).
Sandwich Bay, is the best place to breathe in the sea air. Five miles of unspoiled sand flats, salt marshes and sand dunes for you to explore.
Sandwich is a perfect place to mooch. A beautiful medieval town on the River Stour that yes, made 'the sandwich' popular.
Deal is a great spot for a walk along the promenade or pier and stop for a brunch or a cheeky drink in one of it's many pubs or eateries.
Dover Castle is for both big and little kids. Be taken back in time to the 11th century as you explore the most iconic of all English fortresses.

Broadstairs is your stop for beautiful sandy beaches, brimming with old fashioned seaside charm.
