Lovely campsite. Beautiful views, plenty of space between pitches. Ideal for a walking holiday away from it all. Facilities were spotlessly clean with easy to use showers and even a bathroom with bath sink and toilet for family shared use.

Lovely stay in this beautiful campsite. Should more convene to couples or retired people than families and groups.

This is a beautifully kept site with areas separated by stone walls and bushes, which protect from the wind. We had a problem with our hook up so I made a call and someone came immediately to do a temporary fix and someone else came the next morning to do a permanent one. Our pitch was a generous size and flat. The toilets and showers are immaculate, although it was a nuisance that the hot water in the showers turns off every 20 seconds. I know they don't want to waste energy/water but no one can shower that quickly! If you like quiet and early nights, this is the place for you. But as two adults, having to be home by 11 and quiet after 10.30, we did rather feel that we were on the naughty step. However, this was all in the bumph, which I should have read before booking. There were a lot of rules but I found them to be reasonable in ensuring everyone's enjoyment and respecting the site. The site is quite remote and we found it necessary to drive everywhere. Parking costs in Weymouth are through the roof but our tent neighbours found a hopper bus, which was very reasonable.

Thankyou for your review. The showers are designed to turn off automatically. You can restart them as many times as you like for a longer shower. Our quiet time of 10.30 is well publicised. We live in such a fantastic quiet and beautiful location, we want everyone to enjoy just the sounds of the waves on beach and owls hooting.

Just returned from Sea Barn and I can't fault it. The reviews I'd read before our stay were a bit hit and miss. But I wonder if those who have provided a lower rating, were perhaps expected more for their money? I have very young children, ages 6, 4, 3 and 0 and the site was perfect for them, as it felt safe, secure and there is also a really nice park for them to play in. The shower block was very clean and we really appreciated the family room, which even has a bath in it so we could do our usual routine of bathing all the children together. I did some washing whilst there and used the laundry room and was really impressed with how clean and efficient the machines were. There is also a little shop which was useful but the location of the site is so good that we were only a 5minute drive from an Aldi. As our children are so young, I was very grateful for the 10:30pm rule of fire out, music off, so they weren't disturbed. I really do recommend this site if you are looking to be just left to your own devices, which I assume most people who camp are. I also recommend it for younger children, as it did feel safe for them to run around.

Nice site. Quiet compared to others in area, which is a surprise given the lovely views. Dog friendly with good walks from the site.

This was our first time camping with our two young sons. The site is beautifully located and very well maintained. The lady on reception was friendly and helpful. Both the old and new toilet/shower blocks were spotless throughout our stay. You can tell they're cleaned regularly and it makes such a difference when using shared facilities. Everyone else staying there was respectful of others. This is not a loud site with music playing late into the night - it's ideal for young families or couples looking for a tranquil base from which to explore the Dorset coastline. The sister site, West Fleet Holiday Farm, is better suited to older children and teens, as it's a bit livelier and has a clubhouse and outdoor swimming pool. Guests at Sea Barn Farm can use these facilities too.

Immediately found myself relaxing on my two night stay in this peaceful location with idyllic views. I bought three little route maps from the camping shop, and found them very easy to follow. Forgot to ask for the WiFi code, but assume there is one. Only criticism is that the shop doesn't follow its own opening hours, despite it being July. Would definitely recommend the site though 😉

Firstly, thank you for our fab stay, it was wonderful. The view was spectacular, the weather went in our favour and the beach was 5 mile away, so a 7-10 minute drive. As we were delayed, we felt the lady who phoned was quite rude. Due to an accident on the motorway we were on standstill for an hour, which obviously delayed us travel wise, and there's nothing you can do. After only being 15 minutes late, there wasn't any point in stressing as no one was there and we could pick our information pack up outside the office. Other than that, it was a great stay. The facilities were the cleanest I've seen on a campsite. There was a lot of rules, which people on previous reviews complained about, but I thought was fine. The campsite was pleasant and it was quiet and spacious. The cows were looked after well and added to the scenery. One tip; the information pack should be emailed before arrivals so we can read before our stay as it's a lot to read 👍 Once again thank you for the wonderful stay and experience.

This has great views if you get a plot with them. We didn't get one and as we had to self check in and never saw an attendant so we couldn't ask to move to a better place. Clean and tidy but dated in places. Large plots with plenty of space so you aren't overlooked/too close etc. It was peaceful as a result.
Site's response
Hi, sorry we were not there to greet you. Our reception is manned at peak times, morning and afternoon, during the quiet season. We are always on the end of the phone and where we can, we will accommodate any requests to move pitches, you just have to ask. All the arrival details, contact phone numbers, pitch location, details of the farm walk, were all in the welcome pack.

Great location. Checked in on a Sunday. Nearly empty, which was a pleasant surprise. Best shower/toilet block I've ever seen.

First time camping experience, the campsite was lovely and peaceful, with lots of space. We had a great view from our pitch. Facilities were very clean and tidy. Shops are only a short drive away, which was handy as we forgot a few bits. Had a lovely evening walk down to the sea to watch the sunset. Definitely will be visiting again and would highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Sea Barn Farm last week. The pitches were a good size and everything was spotless. My only slightly negative comment it that the tone of the leaflet we were given and signs around the place didn't come across as very friendly. It was mostly don't do this or that and I think the information could have been written in a more positive way. The shop was also poorly stocked and the welcome wasn't too friendly.

We booked for a long May Bank holiday for first time camping in years. The pitches were in a lovely location and took some great photos of the sunsets. Toilets and showers were clean. Small shop on site had loads of camping equipment if you needed anything and other essentials. Would book again.
Lovely view but missing some essentials for comfortable non-electric camping

We came here with a toddler and were surprised that there were no shared facilities such a kettle or fridge to store milk for the baby. Perhaps with older age kids it would be fine but without these essentials, it became stressful to keep milk cold for the baby, especially with the hot temperatures we've had. Also, not being able to have a warm cup of tea in the morning put a dampner on the experience (granted we could have taken a gas stove but we're novice campers). Also a changing table in the family bathroom and a shower head rather than just a bath would have made that space more useful. Saying that, the toilets were renovated and great and there was no noise after 10 in the corner we stayed, which we appreciated.
Site's response
Thank you for your comments. A few questions to us in planning for your trip with your young child might have been wise. We would have been able to point you in the right direction. In particular, for a relatively small additional charge, you could have booked an electric hook-up pitch which may have been more convenient for you. With regard to shared fridges etc. On larger sites such as ours, that really isn't practicable and presents numerous challenges with regard to health and hygiene, especially since the pandemic. Given that you chose not to opt for an electric hookup pitch, some sort of coolbox would have been a good idea and frozen bottles of water can be purchased from the shop. Similarly, tea and coffee is available by the cup from the shop or from the clubhouse at West Fleet. The baby changing table at Sea Barn is in laundry room, ensuring that it is accessible even if someone else is using both of the family bathrooms. We provide as many conveniences as we can for our guests, but ultimately we, like most other camping accommodation providers, tend to find that the vast majority of campers are a fairly self-reliant bunch and view catering for themselves and their families as part of the appeal of camping. Stoves and gas are available to buy from the shop when required.

Very easy to pitch up, neat grounds and clean facilities. Off season so quite and peaceful. Showers were unfortunately very cold.
Site's response
We are so sorry the showers were cold. We have invested in new boilers, and unfortunately the water pressure had dropped, and nobody had reported the showers being cold. A quick reboot solved the problem.

Great views on clear day, good circular walk from the site, signposted through farmland and the shoreline. The facilities were clean, modern and functional and obviously well looked after. Some ground works took place when we visited, but didn't bother us. Well located for getting about, useful printed information on arrival with bus stop locations, rules and regulations. Grass pitches were well looked after and spacious. Drinking water was nearby as were the facilities. Limited supplies in the shop, but hot drinks were on offer. There is a play park on-site for the kids. The site was very quiet when we visited and we only stayed a couple of nights. The toilet block was clean with a good number of separated wash basin cubicles, with elec razor points, showers and toilet cubicles and urinals. The laundry room was coin-operated. And a family shower room. The site is quite big, but has sensible hedges and fences located so you don't feel crammed in. Dogs need to be kept on leads around the site and the farmland surrounding it. But lots of good walks nearby where dogs can run off the lead.
