Great site, Great food and bar including takeaway. Clean, tidy, well run and excellent value for money. Good location and easy access from the M6 with a large van or motorhome. Spacious pitches. Really cannot fault anything.

100% would recommend this site, it was perfect. The Engine Shed was an amazing part of the site selling very reasonably priced food and alcohol. An amazing atmosphere.

We had a great couple of nights at Pennine View, from the first point of contact from the helpful lady on reception to the maintenance team. We were made to feel very welcome and was very impressed with the facilities, especially the campers kitchen. Looking forward to coming back to visit next year - 10/10.

We had a great two nights here. It was the first time we had used the site but we'll definitely be returning. The lady on reception was very friendly. The site layout was well thought out and the Engine Shed bar was fantastic for food and drink. I had read a few reviews saying the toilets and showers were a little dated but they were very clean, so had no problem with them. The location is ideal for walkers and cyclists.

We only stayed one night on our way home and the weather was pretty miserable so nowhere looks at its best. The site is about 20 mins walk into the main town and there are pavements all the way. The town itself was not much and I won't rush back there but the site was lovely. It's quite small and I believe they are doing up the toilet block which is clean, but perhaps a little dated, but more than adequate and if they had not told us it was getting updated, I certainly wouldn't have thought bad about them. The location for walks looked fab. We didn't get much chance due to one night and the rain but I did walk into the next village along and pub in Nateby had been recommended to us. Wasn't much from the outside but the dining area inside looked lovely Having a pub on site though is the best. It makes all the difference having somewhere with other campers to have a drink. Food was nice but very limited and would've been ace if they offered more. Overall, we will return here in the summer months so we can see it at its best

2nd time we've stopped here. Main reason as just the right spot for a break on the way to Scotland, but a beautiful well laid out site. Clean shower block and toilets, and nice pitch. The main draw though is there is a magical gate at the end of the park leading to waterfalls and beautiful walks. Kirby Stephen has some great pubs and places to eat. Would definitely stay again.

Had a 4 night stay just after the Bank Holiday weekend. Staff were very helpful on arrival and managed to pitch reasonably well, although it was a bit of a tight squeeze due to the angle of the pitch. The onsite bar/dining area is great with how they have converted it, in-keeping of its original use. Very cosy. Only thing I could fault was that there were 4 loud dogs directly opposite us throughout our stay, and felt other dog owners were put off walking past as sometimes, they were off their lead. Not really a reflection on the owners but maybe they could, in future, have a quiet word or put up a sign up around site to respect other campers. Other than that, I would definitely recommend for a quiet-ish little getaway. Would definitely return next year.
