Really can't fault this site. This was our third site in the week and by far the best. We had a premium hard-standing pitch, which had ample room for our 7.5m motorhome. We still had loads of space had we wanted to put a tent on the side. There was power and water for each pitch, and a TV connection had we wanted it. The washrooms were very clean every time we used them. Loads of space in the disabled toilet/shower rooms as well.
Great holiday week!

This is the perfect kind of campsite for us; adult-only and dog friendly. It was SO quiet and peaceful and the frankly huge field set aside for dog walking is THE best we've ever experienced. To the eye it is bigger than the area of the grass and hard-standing pitches and it is extremely well maintained with a mown strip running all the way around the outside of the perimeter and alongside both sides of the picturesque river that runs right through the middle of it. There are foot bridges at either end so you can do a loop-walk (the best kind IMHO) or two and it is only for residents of the Cosawes campsite. The toilets and facilities are spotlessly clean and cannot be faulted - the showers, wash basins and toilets are on the first floor above the laundry, male and female toilet, disabled/family room facilities and a packed tourist information room. Public footpaths from the campsite are short and dead-ends but it is only a short drive to Falmouth and Argal Lake for longer and/or circular walks.

This is the perfect kind of review for us! Thank you so much. It is great to know that you enjoyed your stay and that your four legged friend was able to enjoy the walking fields and stream. Many a ball has been lost and found in that stream! We will pass on your fabulous comments about the facilities to the cleaning team, and we look forward to hopefully welcoming you back again in the future.

The site was perfect for what I needed/wanted. I only had a small campervan in which to sleep, so I appreciated my pitch being located close to the very clean toilets, and the overnight lighting at the site. It was beautifully quiet, and it was also great (once I had the required change) to be able to wash and dry my clothes. The toilets, showers, and area for washing dishes were all kept immaculately clean. I felt safe (as a solo female) and, for me, the location was great as I visited friends near Newquay, in Praze, and in Truro.

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was a convenient location for trips out to Truro, Falmouth, Penzance, even Land's End is a reasonable distance. The toilet and shower blocks were immaculate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dog field was fantastic, very large, with a stream running through. The best dog field we have encountered on a campsite. There was a lot of space for a caravan, awning and car on the pitch. There are quite a few pitches in a small space, which made it feel a bit cramped compared with many sites we have visited. The turning space was a bit narrow and we would have struggled without a motor mover. We were not informed before arrival that diggers would be on site doing renovation. It was a good job we went out and about on trips, as we felt the work detracted from the nature and peace and quiet that we had expected from the write-up. But we didn't let it spoil our holiday. It was still a lovely stay.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to know that you very much enjoyed your stay and that you were able to enjoy some of the local attractions and places to visit. We will be sure to pass on your comments about the immaculate facilities and the friendly staff to the cleaning and warden teams. Fabulous as well to know that your dogs were able to have some fun on the walking fields and by the stream. Regards the site renovations we can only apologise. We are working on some site improvements which we hope will make Cosawes even better in the future. That said, we are pleased that you still managed to enjoy your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back to a digger-free site in the future 🙂

Really nice site, we were warmly welcomed and shown to our pitch, which was really spacious. Toilet and shower blocks were really good - big showers with spacious dressing areas. Nice and quiet. If it hadn't been raining and we weren't only using it as somewhere to get our heads down for the night, there were some walks nearby.

Thank you for your review. We will pass on your comments about the warm welcome and the facilities to our cleaning and wardening teams. We hope we can look forward to welcoming you back again in the future, hopefully this time for a longer stay.
Lovely site but showers not hot

The site is lovely - very large plots and extremely clean and tidy. Unfortunately, the showers were only just warm (far from hot) which, on a winter's evening, is essential. It's a shame as the site itself was lovely, but at nearly £30 for 1 night, I'd expect a nice hot shower.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay overall, and we can only apologise for the shower being 'cold'. Usually the showers are lovely and hot, and we especially aim to keep them that way in the colder months. If we had heard a guest report otherwise we would definitely have checked the temps and got that sorted. Hopefully we can look forward to welcoming you back again in the future

On arrival, the reception was very good and our plot was very generous and all facilities were first class. It was a bonus to find out that a bus came into site twice a day, but a short walk and you can get a bus to Newquay or Falmouth. Locally you can get fresh fruit and veg. We had a walk around the dog walk which was huge, dog bags were provided, which was nice.

Thank you for your review! 5 Star - what more could we ask for! It is great to know that you enjoyed your stay on Cosawes, and we will be sure to pass on your comments about the friendly staff and first class facilities to the wardening and cleaning teams. What a fantastic site. Quiet, but not too quiet. Pitches are huge with facilities not far from anything. We booked two pitches as two couples, and when we received the welcome pack the day before, we were allocated pitches quite far from each other, but on the day the warden was great and moved us to adjacent pitches; great service!! The facilities block is great. Toilets downstairs, with showers, changing rooms and toilets upstairs too. Tourist information with lots of leaflets (if you're doing attractions I recommend as lots of leaflets have offers in). There's also a large area for washing up and a small laundry room with a fridge freezer. Practically, the location of the site is also great. A very short drive from both Falmouth and Truro, as well as the best public transport links. We used the bus most days (including Sunday and bank holiday!) Local amenities are also spot on. And a recommendation for if you want a bit of indulgence, the Norway Inn (about 2 miles up the road) do the most incredible carvery on a Sunday! We highly recommend this site and look forward to coming back soon!

For a wheelchair user, a drop down kerb at the edge of the grass pitches would make it easier. Internal door leading to the disabled facilities, would be better to be on a hold open and close on fire alarm fire door to assist with access for wheelchair users. Other than these 2 small points, the facilities for disabled users was of a high standard. And the overall park was clean, tidy and peaceful.
Perfect site - it’s a solid 10/10

We stayed here for a week in August, not something we would normally do in the middle of school holidays. Being an adults only site, it was very quiet, albeit fairly full with campers. The facilities were excellent - spotlessly clean and never crowded. there were ample showers, toilets and washing facilities, as well as several sinks for dishes. We stayed on a serviced hardstanding, with water and drainage. The only (very slight) issue was that the entire area was hardstanding, with only a few bushes to break it up. Nevertheless, the pitches were very large, plenty of room for awning and car. There were several 'permanent' pitches, which meant that a lot of the site was unoccupied while we were there. The is a village store about 5 minutes drive away, and ASDA on the outskirts of Falmouth, about 10 minutes. The site is well situated for exploring the south coast. While the north is accessible, traffic at this time of year doesn't make it a tempting proposition. Finally the cost, which was extremely reasonable. We are members of the C&C Club, and this site was over £100 cheaper than their sites. The facilities were also better!
Site's response
Wow! What a great review! It is great to know that you enjoyed your time Cosawes and we will be sure to pass on your comments about the facilities to the cleaning and wardening teams. The 'permanent' pitches are actually our Seasonal customers, so granted there are times when they are not visiting and so the site can appear to be more occupied than it actually is. It's great to know that you found us a good base from which to explore Cornwall, and we sincerely hope that we can look forward to welcoming you back again in the future.
Very noisy road but great facilities

Summary: camping is next to a national road causing lots of road noise making it hard to sleep/relax but very good facilities. The camping area only had a thin hedge separating you and a national road, resulting in a huge amount of road noise, with the pitches lined up along this hedge. During the first night, there was also what seemed like some loud live music nearby which kept us up for a number of hours. It was very hard to sleep - however, I could have got past this with earplugs, but worse for me was that when sitting by the tent, rather than peace and nature, all I could hear and feel was cars. The team running the site were lovely with very clean facilities and great showers - there was also plenty of them with a covered wash area. The freezer was very frosted, meaning the ice packs did not freeze properly which could require replacing.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. We can only apologise that your stay was noisy, this is very unusual as Frog Lane (the B road that runs alongside the site) is only small and normally very quiet. We can also only apologise for the 'loud noise' that you mentioned. Sadly this was completely out of our hands. There was a Truck Show happening at Stithians showground that weekend, and despite the showground being 3 miles away, the acoustics of the valley and countryside meant that somehow we were hearing some of their festivities. Thank you for your positive comments about the staff and the facilities, we will be sure to pass them on to the cleaning and wardening teams, and we will also be sure to double check the frostiness of our communal freezer! Thanks for letting us know about that one. We sincerely hope that your positive experiences outweigh the negative ones and that you will consider camping with us again.

This is our new favourite site, nearby bus routes into Truro and Falmouth. Huge dog walking field opposite campsite, approx 1 mile to walk around with a river running through the centre. The site is clean and well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. In my opinion, no room for improvement - well done Cosawes, we will definitely be seeing you again.
