This was our first time ever on a campsite. We were in a campervan so didn't need to use the facilities as much as people in tents would, but the showers and toilets looked clean and were heated. We were welcomed and given all the info we needed. The site wasn't very busy, so the shop wasn't open all the time, but the people at reception were very happy to open it when needed. The site was very well looked after and we had no problems finding a pitch and setting up. There are a few peacocks roaming around and although they are quite vocal, it didn't bother us. There are lovely views and walks straight from the campsite, and although the weather was mixed, we took advantage of a few dry hours here and there to get out and about. We ate in a local pub one evening which was welcoming, with good food. Definitely recommend this campsite.

We stayed at Barn Farm for 3 nights in our caravan. It was lovely, clean and we felt very comfortable. Lots of peacocks around the site that were amazing to see. Staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. Very clean and well maintained, with helpful and friendly staff, beautiful fresh mornings with beautiful views.

Lovely site. Stayed here with our two little dogs and found lots of walking routes. Short walk to two local pubs and shop on site, which was handy. Staff were lovely and informative on arrival. The only slight negative was that the peacocks were shouting at 4am, which disturbed our sleep. However, we have not been put off by this and will return.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay. Very friendly welcome and the staff were very helpful. Lots of things to do in the area, including a visit to the Drovers pub for a splendid meal. Lots of animals around the site, and very noisy Peacocks, but that's what you pay for. Plenty of hot water and lovely showers. What else could one wish for?

Before I review the campsite, it must be known that we left early as the weather was awful and there was damage to our awning, but that's no reflection on the campsite itself. The staff there were more than helpful, the facilities were clean and well maintained, village pubs were good and there is a bus route to Matlock and Bakewell if needed. The scenery was as lovely, as expected, so no gripes at all about the site. We just arrived at the wrong time. We would go again to this site.

We had a wonderful stay at Barn Farm, Emma greeted us on arrival and was really friendly and helpful. The showers and toilets were very clean and had great facilities. My daughter enjoyed the games room and play park along with some great walks just off the campsite. We had a great pitch with a superb view. There were 2 local pubs that served gorgeous food, just a short walk into Birchover. The peacocks and bunnies were my daughters favourite, she hasn't stopped talking about them! We will definitely be staying here again. Enjoyed it that much we stayed another night! Great value for money!

Would certainly recommend - weather for us was not great, which in turn created a mud bath on the field. The walks were beautiful and the meal at the Druid (one of two pubs in the village) was great, with superb friendly service (dogs welcome too). Will certainly come back in the less rainy months and enjoy all the facilities a little more! Note, everything is spotless and there is nothing in the onsite shop you can't get. The team running it all are accommodating and friendly - thank you 😊

Wonderful site in the Peak District. Amazing facilities, very clean shower blocks and plenty of them to choose from. Has a sauna, sunbed, games room, washing machine and dryers. The staff were wonderful and friendly. Little shop on site, which was very reasonably priced. Excellent base for walking routes around the Peaks. We will definitely be back!! The only comment I will add is to plan your route and not follow Sygic as this sent us up a very steep hill and we did have to be recovered!
A really lovely place to stay

We stayed at Barn Farm in our caravan on a hardstanding pitch with full electric and water hook ups. We took our 2 grandchildren and dog with us. The site is in a lovely location with wonderful views and direct access onto Stanton Moor and easy access to Bakewell and Matlock. The caravan pitches are well maintained with plenty of space between them. The facilities are also very good with very clean showers and toilets and a shop. The sight of peacocks running around is quite something too! We will be returning and would highly recommend.

Such a gorgeous site with loads for all of the family! The local walks were just about right for smaller legs and the staff are super helpful! Also, highly recommend The Red Lion Inn pub for food and it's only a short walk away!

Lovely site with great views. Would imagine the site could get a bit cramped in the holiday season with the amount of campers it can hold versus the size of the facilities. We have been over Easter half term and it was lovely and quiet. Great location for exploring with many places and activities within a 15 minute drive.

Fantastic campsite! Excellent facilities, including a games room. Very clean facilities and the water in the showers was actually hot - unlike so many campsites we've been to in the past. Would definitely recommend this site. Perfect for walking - the dog loved it! The roads/lanes on the approach to the site are a little narrow. Definitely avoid Stanton Lees and Birchover Lane, if you are towing or driving a large vehicle. Staff were lovely - very friendly and helpful. There's a couple of lovely pubs, only 5 minutes walk away too!

Lovely site, showers clean, hot and spacious! Need to take levellers as the pitches are a bit wonky but to be expected in the Peak District! Games room is fabulous but take some 50ps for the pool table and other games. Peacocks are everywhere and the children loved all the other animals the park had to offer!
Nice stay

Great campsite but could massively be improved by removing the patch of grass in front of each pitch as was very muddy and difficult to tow caravan away as car was slipping on mud.

Lovely views from the campsite. Very sloped pitches so, as stated on the website, you will definitely need ramps/blocks to level up. Kids enjoyed the arcade room and playing in the woodland area.

Visited in mid October, site is in good location & close to village of Birchover (15 mins walk). Showers are private & very warm inside. Shop on site but at this time of year needs to be opened via visit to reception. Games room is available. Hardstanding pitches are on a slight incline so leveling chocks are required. The Druid Pub in Birchover is a great place for a drink and food " Fish & Chips" are highly recommended & the bus stop gets you into Bakewell etc. Rotor Rocks behind Druid pub is worth a visit. Would recommend.

Good ground even though on a bit of a slope but what do you expect in the Peak District. Very clean facilities. Nice area with good walks and places to visit.
