Peaceful and secluded, Newhaven Holiday Park is a family friendly space in the heart of the beautiful Peak District where you can relax, or cram every day with great activities. It's only 20 minutes to Carsington Water for incredible water sports, while the Tissington Trail and great High Peak walks will have you itching to explore.
About Newhaven Holiday Park
A truly family owned site, Newhaven has been in the same family for more than 50 years, passing through generations until it reached the present owner, who grew up on caravanning. Newhaven's setting is in mature woods and spacious farmland and its grounds include attractive picnic, barbecue and play areas. The park is modern and tarmacked and offers grass and hardstanding pitches to suit tourers and campers. Whether you're bringing a tent or tourer, there's electric for you here.
The site is open for tourers from 1st March to 31st October. For static caravan owners it is open from 1st February to 30th November.

Max 8 people
Non electric grass pitches for tents. Maximum size is 6m x 6m. There's a backpacker option for those travelling on foot or by bicycle.

Electric grass pitches for tents and trailer tents only. Maximum size is 6m x 6m.
65 x Electric Hardstanding Pitches
Max 8 people
Hardstanding pitches for caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Maximum length is 8m.

Things to do on site and in the Buxton area
Fabulous walks are right on the doorstep, starting with The Pennine Way, Kinder Scout and not forgetting Lady Bower Reservoir. You can only really enjoy The Dales of the Peak District on foot, and these are well worth it with their crystal clear rivers and sweeping cliffs.
The park is beautifully placed for the High Peak Trail and Tissington Trail, so perfect for traffic free rides. Carsington Water is the start of an idyllic family-friendly route, off road and lovely to experience.
It's also a renowned spot for sailing and canoeing, and other reservoirs will also have your splashing around with kayaking, boating and much more.
See the district's inner beauty with caving at ideal places like the Peak Cavern, Blue John Cavern, Speedwell Cavern and Treak Cliff Cavern. They're brimming with unique formations, so come get your stalactites and stalagmites sorted out!
Look no further than here for elegant estates and grand houses steeped in history. Places like Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall and Keddleston Hall all offer a full day out.
The Heights of Abraham has cable car rides and is only 10 miles from the park, Alton Towers is a must for rollercoaster fans, Go Ape has all the adventure you need and The Chestnut Centre is the place for animal lovers to meet fascinating four legged residents.
