About Little Seed Field

This site is a haven amongst the natural wilderness of the landscape. Each of the cabins is tucked privately into the surroundings, set along the edge of the moorlands and farmlands of Nidderdale. The cabins at Little Seed Field are octagonal in shape, providing an inside space that is comfortable and roomy. Six of the seven glamping cabins have double beds and bunk beds and the seventh has a king size bed with a single pull out bed. Four of the cabins are ensuite, complete with shower, basin and toilet. In addition, each cabin includes lighting, electricity, crockery, cutlery, bedding, inside seating, outside seating and a private BBQ. Dogs are welcome in all of the accommodation! The cabins are secluded and peaceful, so guests are treated to stunning views, crystal clear dark skies and the chance to observe hunting owls and grazing deer. Car parking is a short walk from the cabin site, with wheelbarrows provided to transport your luggage to your base. The site does have accessible parking close to the cabins if required and the hosts are very happy to accommodate any additional requirements or personal requests if they can. The site is open all year, with each season providing different opportunities to explore and discover the natural beauty of the wild Yorkshire Dales.

Little Seed Field is open all year round in 2024 and 2025.

Facilities and amenities

Guests in standard cabins have access to a centrally heated amenity building containing shared toilets and two wet rooms. There is also a small kitchenette facility with water, a toaster, a microwave and a kettle. Outside, there is a communal area with undercover seating and a log burner.

The site is remote and rural, however a local village is a short drive away and has a great fish and chip / pizza shop, a pub and a shop.

A note from the site themselves...

We are a family run site, located on the edge of our fourth generation working dairy farm. We believe in good old fashioned outdoor fun, tree climbing, hiking, hunting for wildlife and marvelling at the stars! We are also a tiny bit romantic (!), so we love being able to provide cosy cabins with a log stove, for those looking for some down time.

We're right in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, but there is so much more than just rolling hills and dramatic skylines! We offer natural beauty, sweeping horizons and uninterrupted views and accommodation that is not overlooked. We even offer a free farm tour if you would like to know more about dairy farming and meet some of our cows!

Glamping Cabin - Standard CabinsAug 2024

Super cute and super clean. The cabin was lovely and cosy. We brought the dog bed and he loved sleeping by the stove. The toilet/shower block was super clean and I loved that there was a communal area with a fridge/microwave etc. Everything was just a 2 minute walk away from the cabin. The handle/lock on one of the toilet doors was a little bit stuck and I ended up stuck in there for about 10 minutes and Joanne (I think) couldn't have been more helpful! I'm just glad I had my phone with me. We will definitely be back!

Such a fantastic place to stay! We loved our visit and everything was just perfect. The cabins are beautiful and well-thought out with families in mind. We were lucky to have clear skies and saw shooting stars and the Milky Way! It's perfect for sky-gazers and wildlife enthusiasts, so we'll definitely be back!

Site's response
