About Morndyke Shepherds' Huts
Providing a top of the range glamping experience, where unadulterated luxury is considered normal, the huts at Morndyke are stunning. The non smoking site prides itself on being wildlife friendly, with bird and bat boxes dotted around the well established fishing lake. A pretty wild flower garden sits alongside the apple trees and bespoke bird feeding station, while each hut has its own mini herb garden and strawberry planter for guests to enjoy. The site is also home to the second largest parrot sanctuary in the UK, experiences can be booked with the site directly. Inside, the huts are fully equipped with a luxurious double bed and single bunk above, as well as a log burning stove, mini kitchen and comfy, sheepskin-lined chair. A host of extra luxury items provide the finishing touches, including Bronte by Moon blankets and cushions, Emma Bridgewater mugs, and Duck Island bathroom products. No need to share with others, here you have your own ensuite shower room and toilet. The mini kitchen is kitted out with all the cutlery, crockery, utensils and cooking gear you could possibly need. All linen and towels can be provided for a small extra charge. Even your dog is catered for - after all, it's their holiday too. The huts are ideal for couples wanting to enjoy a quiet and romantic break away, but the single bunk means that friends can enjoy time away together too. Either way, it's a place to relax and enjoy some downtime, with a selection of books, films and games for any rainy days. Outside you'll find your own private patio with barbecue, fire pit and table, where you can enjoy views stretching for miles over the farmland to the Hambleton Hills. Buzzards soar above you and the occasional roe deer can be seen shyly grazing while you sip on a glass of wine, watch the sun set and barbecue your dinner. Morndyke is a child-free site, but dogs (or other pets within reason!) are more than welcome.

* Arrival & Departure Times: Please vacate by 10.30am on day of departure (unless you have paid for a later departure time), and arrival after 3pm. If you are planning to arrive later than 5pm, please let us know.
* Pets: If you have paid to bring a dog, it is on the understanding that they are not left on their own in the hut at any time, they are not allowed on the furniture or the beds and that owners act responsibly and 'clean up' where necessary both on walks and on site. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times except in the fenced off glamping area and at the agreement of other holiday makers. We do reserve the right to charge extra for cleaning and repair costs if your dog damages our furniture and soft furnishings.
* Noise: Please consider other guests, especially after 9.30pm. We are a Low Noise Policy glamping site.
* Waste, Rubbish & Recycling: Please recycle as much as possible in the recycling bins provided. Wipes, sanitary waste, cloths etc. must not be flushed down the toilets, please use the waste bins.
* For Your Safety: Please ensure you keep in the glamping site for your own safety. This is a working farm. The driving speed limit is 5mph around the farm. Please ensure you act safely around the lake - strictly no boats or floating devices are allowed on site. The fishing lake closes at dusk. A list of emergency numbers is available in each hut. The BBQs provided are the only ones permitted - due to fire risk. Also, please enjoy the fire pit but keep the lid on when it is being used. Please use on the designated patio only. We are a no smoking glamping site.
* Liability: The owners of the site are absolved of all liability for accidents to guests and from any responsibility for loss or damage to personal property. Any items left behind must be claimed within two weeks of departure. If relevant, postage and packing charges for the return of goods will apply. As owners, we shall not be responsible for the death or personal injury to a holidaymaker. The owners of the site/farm reserve the right to ask guests who are not observing the conditions, to leave the site without refunds and with immediate effect. We ask that any breakages or faulty equipment be reported so that we may replace them. In the case of breakages, a replacement charge may be made. As the owner of the property, we reserve the right to gain access at any reasonable time during occupancy for the purpose of emergency maintenance or repair or any other need.
* Care & Consideration: We ask that residents practice common sense care and consideration for the huts during their stay. This involves ensuring cleanliness is observed, with surfaces and woodwork being kept clean of stains and debris. The washroom is used for the drying of clothes and not the wood burning stove- the risk of fire is real and likely in this scenario. We ask that chopping boards and provided drinks coasters are used in order to limit damage to work tops and surfaces. Under no circumstances should food be chopped on the work surfaces
* Cancellations & Refunds: We do not give refunds on any bookings made less than 14 days prior to arrival. A 50% non refundable deposit is taken at the time of booking. The balance is taken 14 days prior to arrival. In the event of a cancellation by us, our liability shall be limited to the return in full the monies paid. Please note any damage to site facilities left in an unsatisfactory state will incur extra charges.
