What a find! We have spent the last two weekends here. A rural, peaceful stay with great walks on the doorstep. The owners couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. It was great for our dogs as there was plenty of room per pitch and ALL dogs have to be on leads. Never seen them so chilled out whilst camping. At one point we were the only tent on site! Fire pits available for £12. The amount of wood is ample for a two night stay. BBQ also allowed. The toilets/ showers are the best I've seen on a campsite. More like an en suite! Other facilities include plenty of hot water for washing up, fridges and freezer to use. Even the drinking water was good! Thanks to Richard, the owner, for the conversations during fire pit rounds and for getting our car started due to a flat battery. No doubt at all that we will be returning!

Large Tent - Grass Camping PitchesAug 2022

Amazing location, close to a lot of attractions. This was one of the best campsites I have been to and will be returning. The owners are friendly and helpful. They know the area's attractions well. 2 camp fields, the over flow field is flat and the other field is a slight slope. 4 ladies toilets and 2 separate ladies shower rooms with toilets (mens is the same), all extremely clean. 3 washing areas, 1 outdoor and 2 indoor which were always clean. 1 fridge freezer and separate fridge. Clean and practically empty for our entire stay. Also has a vending machine with chocolates and crisps. Fire pit with logs is £12. Big bag of logs. No further charge for the fire pit, and logs are £10 for additional nights. Animals are a bit loud at night but it was better than listening to the hustle and bustle in the city. I have a 4 and 7 year old child, neither woke up to the sounds. Worth saying that there is no internet unless you come out of the farm and go 150 meters towards the Harrogate sign. I enjoyed life with no tablets or mobile phones.

Great family trip away

Medium Tent - Grass Camping PitchesAug 2022

We went to Breaks Fold Farm with our 3 year old and 1 year old. The site was in a peaceful, remote location at the same time as being close enough to a range of activities by car. 20 - 30 minute drive will get you to many different things. There was also basic wifi available. The owners/staff on the farm were helpful and available when needed. There was a large variety of pitches to choose from, with a good amount of space on each. We could easily fit our 4 man tent, car, wind breaks, table and chairs with a good amount of room to spare. The toilet block, showers, and dish washing facilities were kept very clean. A more experienced camper on the site described them as the cleanest facilities they'd ever used. We also enjoyed the fire baskets, which were good value for money. The little climbing frame was enough to entertain our children while we cooked food and sorted dishes etc. All in all we would definitely use this campsite agian if we were to stay in the area. Suggested activities = Billy Bob's Parlour, Burnsall village with river to paddle/play in, Fountains Abbey, Bolton Abbey, Hesketh Farm.
