There was a bit of a mix-up over the booking, but it was very nice and clean. The owners were friendly and accommodating.

Such a great little site. The site is on a slope, but pitches are all level.

I've had 2 trips, staying altogether for 5 nights and I can't praise this place enough. The guys who work tirelessly to maintain and accommodate are the most fun and friendly staff, and actually make you feel like family whist you enjoy your stay. Location is beautiful with clean facilities pot wash, laundry room, sauna (which I've vowed to try next time) a well stocked shop on site, and even a mini trailer for breakfasts snacks and local ales! I'm a dirty, grubby mountain biker, so the trails and bike parks including bike park wales, dirt farm, are only 30 mins drive. The pub is nice too, and it's only 5 mins walk, which one gets 10% off if you stay here! Perfect. This will be my wales hub every time I head to the bike parks. I highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay at the campsite. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They have a nice shop. We were placed down the bottom of the campsite where we had a large pitch and had plenty of space, it was quiet. We were quite close to a main road which was busy throughout the day. The only thing we didn't like is that the campsite allowed someone to check in at 21:45pm. They then pitched their tent opposite us for the next two hours while we tried to sleep. Considering the campsite has a no noise policy after 10pm, this was a bit frustrating. Whatever the reason, they were allowed to check in so late, it would have been appreciated if they could have been given a pitch further away from other campers to reduce the noise but unfortunately were set up directly opposite us.
Great location lovely campsite

The campsite is located in a gorgeous valley. The view from our pod was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The campsite has a lovely shop and a mini-mobile-café, where one can get breakfast and coffees. The facilities are comfortable and super clean.

My first solo camp (except for 2 canine companions). Fortunately, I felt very safe. Campsite is very well maintained and clean. Loved that beer is served when the local pub is closed (Mondays and Tuesdays), although I didn't partake. I was camped at the bottom and road noise was an issue the first night, but not so much the second night. When I return, I'll definitely stay longer, as there is too much to do and see for such a short trip. The local pub looks well worth supporting. Loved that besides the spotless bathrooms and showers, there is a dishwashing station, and shop, plus beverage van. Alas, I couldn't get Wi-Fi to work, but that's possibly my provider, which is the only one that works in my rural Wiltshire home. Anyway, I recommend highly, particularly after reading the negative reviews, which means management kick out trouble makers. Very reassuring.

The staff are great. The site is very clean and well maintained. The local community run pub, The Farmers Arms, is 200 metres down the road is great - food is very good.

Wonderful 3 nights stay in my VW van! 35 mins from Bike Park Wales, a nice pub and wonderful location. The owners and crew have worked tirelessly to keep this place in wonderful condition and it pays off. A really well stocked shop with local beer on tap! What more can one ask! I shall return.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cwmdu Campsite. We were greeted when we arrived by Chris who showed us to our pitch and explained where all of the facilities are. The pitch was an excellent size, all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the showers/toilets were absolutely spotless. The showers have great pressure and are at just the right temperature. There is a shop on site that sells the essentials, along with some gorgeous locally sourced food and drink. There is also a small food trailer that do the best bacon sandwiches and a caramel latte to die for! There are other facilities such as laundry and dish washing, they even have a dog shower, which we had to use for our pooch after a visit to the beach. Overall, we would say it is one of the best sites we have ever stayed on and we will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Cwmdu. The plot was spacious & with great views. There was a coffee pod open from 9 and the shop was amazing. Pub down the road. Can't recommend enough.

Very friendly and helpful staff and spotlessly clean sanitary facilities. Showers were, for us, too hot. Road along bottom of camping can be noisy.

Arrived and greeted by site manager, the warmest welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. Although we didn't realise we had booked non electric, pitch changed flawlessly. Facilities spotless, everything was just amazing, from arriving to leaving. Thankyou for an amazing weekend, we will definitely be visiting again. Andrew and Dawn.

The site has many good things going for it, but a very questionable pitch that did effect our overall judgement. We stayed on a very busy sunny weekend. The welcome on arrival was lovely and we were shown to our pitch. This was very disappointing. The pitch was on a corner and completely shaded by trees. The weather was sunny, but our pitch didn't see any of it, no matter the time of day. I personally would not class the spot as a pitch. Wi-Fi was also very sporadic which could have been because of the busyness of the site. ice touches are the Friday pizzas, which were very good, and the draft beer, also good. There are lots of walks from site. The shop, which was well stocked, was also very expensive, £2.90 for a 220ml of mayonnaise. So remember to take all you need with you. In all, this site is not for us.
